I booked her for a 3-day weekend to take care of my 60lb shepherd - who I admit can be a handful since she still thinks she's a puppy and would want to play and run all the time. But my Charley's stay with her was fantastic! Charley is really skittish with other people, which really impressed me when Bree sent me photos of my dog sleeping on her bed with her, first night of her stay at their house! (I didn't get to have Charley sleep with me on my bed until 3months since I got her!! Which I think is telling of how good Bree is with animals). She takes all her dogs for walks 4x a day and during Charley's stay Bree hosted her 2 dogs' birthday at the park. So Charley got to enjoy a day of puppy party during her stay, when I came to pick her up she even got to take home a bag full of all kinds of treats as well as cake and ice cream leftovers from the party!! About: I’ve had a dog(or multiple) in my house since I was 6 years old. From the start I treated them with kindness and patience. Especially since I had a gentle giant of a dog. I did start taking care of my dogs when I was 12 years old though and it was exhausting but so worth it. I’ve seen my dogs grow up for 10 years and they’re still wild as puppies. I give my current dogs various medications and have special diets. I just got a puppy so that’s been a good challenge. I am currently potty training, deterring unwanted habits, playing for hours a day, and watching her so closely. I love all pets though, I just have more experience with dogs, and quick at adapting to special needs and dogs with boundaries. I am available any weekday, and am able to have a free weekend. I take turns with my mom watching our rescue puppy but she is mostly guaranteed to be home or able to take her on car rides if I need to be somewhere else. I also have a reliable car I cannot care for your pets at my home, we have 3 dogs and only one gets very unhappy with other dogs so it’s best not to overwhelm him. However! I can and will respect your home or living space if you’ll allow me, I don’t need much, just the supplies needed to care for your pet and some space to occupy myself(if pet sitting). I care for my current pets by paying attention to what they’re trying to communicate, whether they need to go outside, play, eat, or get comfy. I walk my dogs very carefully, not pulling on the leash too hard but establishing some control if necessary.

My backyard is big enough for medium/small sized dogs to run and play, but long walks and lots of playtime are also an everyday activity here. I have a fenced in yard as well as cameras that alert to motion around the property. I also have crates and gates to section off areas of the house should your pet need more safe place reassurance. For safety, and to make sure accidents never happen, the cats have their own space and never have access to the same spaces your fur baby is in. My pets are highly socialized and have been around many different animals/pets and are always well behaved.

I have had pets all of my life and was raised on a farm where I learned how to keep pets happy, healthy and safe. I look forward to an opportunity to care for your pet when you are unable. I work from home with a flexible schedule. I am off Friday through Sunday. I have plenty of time to walk, drop in and care for you pets. I have a fenced yard with mesh covering the gate to ensure no escapees. I have two elderly small dogs with a large female dog who has completed lengthy training to become a service dog for my daughter. Our home allows pets to be on the furniture and crates if needed. We have a medium size dog door allowing them to navigate outdoors on their own. All pets in our home are spayed/neutered.
About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was able to walk. From household cats and dogs, to guinea pigs and rabbits, to chickens and horses. I currently have two cats, one dog, and one bird my family cares for. I’m comfortable with walks, visits, bathes, playtime, and giving medication.
