About: I am a dog mommy of a medium 14 year old pit mix, Roxy. I love all dogs and have family with everything from a Chihuahua (with no teeth) to a dopey Great Dane named after prince George. I have babysat all of their dogs and love to play outside with them. I like to run and hike with my dogs and we like to be silly together. She is getting older (14 years old) so she is not as active as she once was. I'm an educator, so my own pup is used to me being gone during the day, but because of holidays and summers I'm also free frequently. My own dog in the past struggled with stubborness and reactivity, so I know how to work with stubborn dogs and easy going dogs of all sorts. I have also worked with geriatric dogs and know what a struggle it can be when dogs are getting into old age. As an educator I work Monday through Friday (most weeks) during the day, and am home evenings, but have extensive availability weekends and holidays. My schedule can be somewhat flexible I am available to come to your home if your dog needs some company or can have your pup at my place. I also have transportation for taking your pet to the beach, river, or parks. I am happy to run, walk, or just hang out with your pets.
“Melissa was amazing with my australian shepherd Levi! She was super flexible about scheduling, communicative during his stay, shared lots of photos and videos, and has a lovely dog-friendly set up. I felt reassured knowing Levi was in good hands while we were away and he came back from his stay a happy pup! We will definitely be using Melissa again!”

“Melissa was awesome with our border collie, Torino. She accommodated a meet and greet before we booked and then took excellent care of Torino. We were gone for 2 weeks and she sent us lots of updates and photos. She was flexible on drop off and pick up. Torino came home clean and happy! Thanks, Melissa! Torino can’t wait until his next vacation with you!”

“Faith is an absolute gem of a dog sitter, and I genuinely can’t recommend her enough. I reached out last minute — the kind of request most sitters would turn down without a second thought — and she said yes without hesitation. What really stood out was how thoughtfully she handled Atlas’s anxiety. She didn’t treat it as an inconvenience; she approached it with patience and genuine care, and it made such a difference knowing my pup was in calm, understanding hands rather than just being “watched.” On top of that, she was incredibly flexible with pick-up and drop-off times, and even made a special exception for me when I needed a time outside her normal hours. She didn’t make me feel like a burden for asking — she just made it work. That kind of grace is rare. And the updates! She check-ins with photos and messages that were so reassuring. You could tell she wasn’t just going through the motions — she actually cared how he was doing. If you have a dog with any special needs or anxiety, Faith is your person. She went above and beyond in every way. Thank you Faith! 🐾”

“Stephanie was wonderful!! We thought our pup would never want to come home after spending 10 days with her. We got so many pictures, gave us a lot of updates and took such great care of our new puppy. It’s a lot to take on a new puppy, and she was so kind, positive and loving the entire time. Our pup had a great time! And we enjoyed our vacation, knowing she was in good hands!”

“Gina took very good care of my dogs. They were right at home in her home and had lots of friends to play with. She sent me pictures while I was gone which reassured me they were well cared for.”

“First time we boarded our girls locally for a quick 2 night ski getaway. Teeda is very flexible, accommodating and easy to communicate with. After a quick meet and greet at the dogpark , she seemed very confident in being able to handle our two 65lbs+ dogs in her home. Richard was very welcoming when we dropped the girls off the next day and assured us that they would be safe. They ran right into and through the house to the fully fenced backyard with wagging tails. The dogs seemed very happy - I was relieved. Teeda sent us photos every day and answered messages every time. Thank you Teeda and Richard for welcoming our girls into your home and taking care of them! We'll be back!”

“Susan, we were SO happy with the wonderful service you provided for us in February and March. You were flexible, loving and so caring of all the animals. We highly recommend your services! Thank you and we will see you again another time.”

“Melissa was amazing and took care of our Toby when our daughter got married. Her dog Obi and Toby became great friends during their walks and playtime. Melissa has a nice big fenced yard and sent us photos and videos throughout the day. Highly recommend as she definitely took great care of our fur baby!”

“Lyndsey was amazing with dog Tulee! She was so kind, took her on multiple walks, sent me many pictures & videos throughout the day and had great communication. Couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! Thank you!”
About: Hello, I am a local who lives full time in Tahoe City. I've been a pet owner with both dogs and cats for the last 30+years. I am a mother of two grown children that are now off away at school. I work at the local elementary school with young children of special needs. I am a fun, caring and loving person who loves both animals and humans. I don't have any pets living with me so your pet would be the only one I would be caring for. I am free to take care of your pet most days, nights and some weekends. I work from home during the summer months so my schedule is always flexible. I currently live in a condo down the street from Lake Tahoe. There are numerous parks at the lake as well as many hiking trails to walk your dog at that are close by my place. I will always walk your dogs on a leash unless otherwise informed by owner to let run free in the woods and trails. I am very safe and responsible.
“Adam and Lauren were amazing with my hyper husky. They have a very nice and open space for doggos to run around in the back yard. They were both very welcoming and understanding of different dog behaviors. Very passionate about pets ands willing to continue learning more about particular behaviors. I will definitely be contacting them if we ever head back into the area. Much love”

“Denise did a wonderful job caring for our kitties! She was so sweet and made us feel confident that our fur babies were happy while we were away. Looking forward to booking her again in the future!”
About: Greetings. I’ve had a best friend who was with me everyday for 15 years. I was with her from the beginning to the end. I am sensitive to the needs of our dogs and always very aware of our surroundings. I’m ultra aware of the cayotes up here and all their tricks. With the new smells and distractions for some dogs that are not from here I always feel safer to keep them on leash during our walks. I live alone in a quiet cabin on a quiet street, no traffic and no neighbors. Big fenced back yard and a small gated front porch. I know all the trails in Sierra track as well as the whole area. I’m very flexible and will take care of all the little things that are needed and the unexpected ones that pop up. I know how stressfull it can be traveling and then leaving your best friend with someone. I will communicate with you and make it easy and stress free. It’s a big adjustment not having my sweet girl Francis. I was so used to waking up and she was there, or coming home and she was sitting in my spot waiting for me. Honestly this is good for me having a dog around. It’s helping with this process I’m going through. I am very flexible and available almost anytime and on short notice if life happens. I know how that goes. I know the trails and areas to go that are safe and fun. Im an early riser, and I enjoy mornings walks when it’s nice and quiet with no traffic or crowds of people. I have no problem with taking the pup with me in the car to run a quick errand or even better a day trip somewhere. Some dogs love car rides with the window down and nose out. And some do not. It’s all optional, absolutely no problems leaving him or her at home while I’m out for a sec. I primarily work from home and would be with him/her almost all the time. My dog Francis was a little attached. Maybe loyal is a better word. I was very lucky with her and didn’t have to worry too much. But I learned to never ever let anything happen to her. Very aware of our environment. Cars, other dogs, cayotes, bees , bodies of water and all weather conditions, hot pavement and even to always avoid the drains/grates in the roads ect. I’m not disactred by my phone or anything else. I’ll only feed what the owner approves.
“Katelyn is amazing! She goes above & beyond to make sure your fur babies are well cared for while you’re away. She’s given my family such peace of mind with photo updates, staying in touch, quick responses, & her schedule flexibility. I highly recommend her if you need someone to care for your furry family!”

“Annette is highly professional, and I could not be more thankful to have her to watch my kitty. Annette stepped up very last minute, and I knew immediately that she would be the perfect sitter. She was excellent with communication, very caring and loving, and I felt completely comfortable having her stay in my home. My heart was warmed with updates and photos of Del while I was away. I would absolutely recommend Annette to other pet parents.”

“Tim T. is amazing! He got us out of a real bind. We were away from home for a wedding. We found out the day before the wedding that we could not leave our dogs in our hotel room. By some miracle, Tim happened to be available with less than a day notice. He picked up our dogs at the hotel. Usually one of our dogs takes a while to warm up to new people. We were nervous but Tim is some sort of dog whisperer! In no time at all, the dogs were in his car and off for a day of fun. They spent the day taking a drive, then a hike, and then relaxing in the lap of luxury at Tim's house. We got photos throughout the day and it was obvious that Tim was the dogs' new favorite person. We were able to enjoy the wedding stress free. Tim returned the dogs to us late at night. It couldn't have been easier. Our only regret is that we live too far away to make Tim our regular sitter. If he's available, don't hesitate! We'd give Tim more stars if we could!”

“Teeda is amazing!! If she is available during the times you need for your pet, book her! She is amazing! Literally felt like family watching our 2 dogs, I felt so confident leaving them with her and she was so kind and accommodating with our needs and during our family vacation. I can’t say good enough things about her! We will book again if we are in town!”

“Faith was awesome! She took a last minute request for me and did awesome with my pup! My boy came back happy and tired. Definitely will be using her services again. Thanks Faith!”

“Melissa is absolutely incredible! From the moment she met Archie, it was as if he found his second home in just a blink of an eye. The fact that she sends regular pictures and updates is an absolute godsend and provides such a comforting sense of security! I cannot express how thrilled I am to have discovered her. I'm certain Archie is eagerly looking forward to returning to spend more playtime with Obi and Melissa!”

“Very sweet, really cared about our dogs! It was our first time leaving our babies with anyone and we couldn’t have found better people to watch them. Will definitely be back”

“Everything was absolutely perfect. Very responsive and professional, juniper loved her stay. She will definitely be back sunbathing on the deck. Looking forward to seeing you soon 🤗🏔❄️🏞”

“Lisa was the sweetest and Max loved her! She has an incredible HUGE fenced yard and Max was so happy that he didn’t want to leave! Lisa and Jason made Max feel so comfortable and ultimately me so comfortable leaving Max for the day. I will definitely have them watch him again when I’m in town in the future. 5 ++ stars for sure!”

“Teresa was fantastic! We reached out just three days before needing care for our two dogs, and she was incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with from the start. She sent us photo updates while we were away, which we really appreciated and gave us peace of mind. We were visiting from out of town, but we come to the area quarterly and will absolutely be using Teresa again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Such a great experience with Melissa, she is so such a dog lover and extremely friendly. JoJo had a great day with her. We would love to bring JoJo back to her next time. Thank you again, Melissa !!”

“My dogs first sitter & I had a great experience, awesome communication and i got updates throughout which I really appreciated. I felt super safe leaving him with leilah! Will definitely be coming back to her next time around :)”

“Kelly is AMAZING. She dog-sat my 3 month old puppy Layla and did a fantastic job. Layla didn't even want to leave at the end of the day. Kelly took the time to do a meet and greet and took lots of notes. She took Layla to a fenced in yard and played with her for hours. She gives all of her attention to her client which i really appreciated.”

“Adam checked off all of my boxes and more. He made Sunny feel safe and clearly had safety in mind. He took Sunny on a walk, fed him, and kept him busy and engaged all day. As soon as we got in the car, Sunny fell asleep from all the fun. At first Sunny was a little scared, but by the end of the visit I could tell Adam really cared for him. I would definitely rebook with him when I’m in Tahoe again!”

“Fiji had fun playing with the other dogs being cared for by Gina. I would recommend Gina as she provides great care and attention. Took our dog to the dog park to play. Our doggo was tired after the day so you know he had fun playing with other dogs.”

“Jessica was amazing. She was very flexible in accommodating our last minute request, both drop off and pickup, while my wife and I coordinated around a Via Ferrata excursion we booked during our stay in Lake Tahoe. Her home was perfect for dogs who like the freedom to be outdoors and sniff all the scents that the Lake Tahoe forest has to offer.”

About: Hi, I’m Annette! I’m a reliable, attentive dog sitter based in Incline Village with a flexible schedule and a calm, grounded approach to care. My goal is to ensure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and well-attended to, whether through neighborhood walks, quality time at home, or overnight companionship. I focus on providing a peaceful and structured environment for the pets in my care. Because of this, I am a great fit for dogs who enjoy a relaxed pace and steady routine, though I may not be the best match for those requiring highly intensive outdoor exercise or off-leash adventure outings. Since I set my own hours, your pet’s routine becomes my priority. I believe pets are family members who deserve the same respect and care as any other resident. In a client’s home, my priority is maintaining the 'status quo' to minimize stress. I start by learning your pet’s specific cues, favorite hiding spots, and unique quirks. Whether it’s following a precise feeding ritual or ensuring the exact level of evening companionship they are used to, I treat your home and your pet with the utmost integrity. I am naturally observant and communicative, so you’ll receive regular updates and photos that capture your pet’s true comfort level.

I understand the anxiety of leaving your fur baby behind when you have to go, and I know what it takes to find someone worthy of caring for one of the most precious parts of your life. My own dog has behavioral challenges, so I understand what it's like to care for dogs with different temperaments. Whether your pup is reactive toward other dogs, pulls on the leash, gets nervous around strangers, or just has their own quirks, I won't be fazed - I'll meet them where they are and work patiently at their pace! My schedule is very flexible right now since I just finished my PhD research and I’m currently figuring out my next steps. Morning, afternoon, and evening drop-ins are no problem at all, and weekends are just as open. I can also accommodate same-day and short-notice requests. I will be respectful of your home and leave it just the way I found it. And I'll keep you in the loop with photos and updates so you can relax knowing they're in good hands!

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs my entire life, which means caring for four-legged family members is second nature to me. As my family and friend’s resident dog sitter, I have hands on experience with pups of all shapes, sizes, and personalities from high energy giants to tiny couch potatoes. I am passionate about keeping dogs active and healthy, so you can count on me to provide plenty of outdoor time and engaging walks. I look forward to meeting your furry friend and providing them with a safe, fun, and loving environment while you're away! As a full-time remote worker, my schedule is highly flexible! Pet care fits seamlessly into my day, allowing me to offer reliable windows for walks and drop-ins. My 'portable' office also makes me a great fit for house sitting, as I can work right from your home and keep your pet company. Weekends are equally open and flexible for whatever your pet needs! I believe the best environment for a pet is one that closely mirrors their usual routine. Whether I am house sitting or dropping in, I strictly follow your specific guidelines for feeding and house rules. During house sittings and drop-ins, I respect your home as if it were my own—keeping things clean, secure, and locked up. When we are out on walks, your dog will always be kept on a secure, standard leash, and I maintain a strict 'no greeting' policy with unfamiliar dogs to prevent any unpredictable interactions. I am deeply observant of body language to ensure your pet is happy, comfortable, and never stressed. I also believe that communication builds trust, so you can always expect timely photo updates and detailed Rover cards after every visit!

About: Hello! I’m a lifelong dog lover and artist currently spending some time in the beautiful Reno/Tahoe area for art research and inspiration. My heart belongs to animals. My beloved Yorkie was my sidekick for 15 wonderful years, and we spent countless days exploring the outdoors together. Because I’m currently traveling and focusing on my art, I have a flexible schedule and a lot of love to give to your fur babies while I'm in town! I treat every pet like family. Whether your dog loves high-energy outdoor adventures, a relaxing stroll, or just quiet cuddle time while I sketch, I happily match their energy and routine. 📸 Stay Connected: You can expect regular updates, photos, and videos so you always know your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for. My Skills & Services 🐕 Dog Walking & Outdoor Play: Ready to explore local trails or just stroll around the block. 💖 Endless Love & Attention: Lots of snuggles, positive reinforcement, and companionship. 🍲 Feeding & Meal Prep: Experienced with specific dietary instructions and schedules. 💊 Medication Support: Comfortable maintaining moderate medication schedules. 🐈 Cat Friendly: Meow spoken here, too! I're happy to hang out with your feline friends. Your pet will always be treated with the utmost kindness, patience, and the same deep love I gave my own dog for 15 years. I can't wait to meet them! I am a self-employed artist and director of a small nonprofit, which gives me an incredibly flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. Much of my work involves painting landscapes—capturing the beautiful mountains, lakes, and high-desert light of the Reno/Tahoe area. Because my art keeps me outdoors, I am always ready to take dogs along for fresh-air strolls, sniffing adventures, and outdoor playtime. When I am working from my laptop or sketching, pets in my care receive relaxed companionship, lots of attention, and plenty of snuggles. My flexible routine allows me to easily accommodate weekday or weekend care, house sitting, and extended stays. Your pet will seamlessly become a part of my creative, peaceful day! Since I am currently in the Reno/Tahoe area for art research, I'll mainly be focusing on House Sitting (in the client's home), Dog Walking, or Drop-In Visits rather than hosting pets at my residence (however, some exceptions can be made). Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my absolute priorities. Whether I am house-sitting in your home or visiting for walks, I treat your home with the utmost respect and your pet like family. Safety Outdoors: Because the Reno/Tahoe area has beautiful wildlife (like deer, coyotes, and bears), I keep all dogs securely on-leash during our walks unless we are in a designated, securely fenced dog park and you have explicitly approved off-leash time. I am also highly mindful of the pavement temperature and hydration during warm high-desert days. A Familiar, Relaxing Atmosphere: Inside your home, I strive to keep your pet’s environment calm, positive, and consistent. I love providing relaxed companionship—whether I'm sketching nearby or enjoying quiet cuddle time. Following Their Routine: I strictly follow your pet's established routine, including precise feeding schedules, favorite walking routes, and any necessary medication tracking. If your pet uses a crate, playpen, or has specific house rules, I will mirror them exactly. You can rest easy knowing your home is secure, and your fur baby is receiving dedicated, loving, and highly attentive care while you're away!

Much love”

“Nicole was amazing! She was able to take my puppy in last minute and I was very grateful for that. She made my puppy feel so loved! She was taking such good care of him and sent me pictures and updates about how their day was going. I definitely felt a sigh of relief knowing my puppy was happy and safe with her!”

“Jennifer and her boyfriend, Jack, were great hosts for our dog Brody while we were skiing in town for a couple days! They were both super nice and genuine, very accommodating with a last minute daycare request, and were flexible with our schedule which was super helpful! They both asked questions the drop off, sent us a ton of pictures throughout the day, and overall made us feel very comfortable with having our dog there with them! I would absolutely recommend and we will use them again when we are in the area!”

“Teresa was an amazing dog sitter and took great care of our dog, Stacy, while we traveled for work for 3 nights. She was very accommodating with our last minute request and flexible with the drop off and pick up times. She had great communication, administered medicine and took Stacy on multiple walks and hikes. I would not hesitate to recommend or to rebook a dog care service with Teresa.”

“We keep booking Kelly as she is wonderful to both of our dogs. She sends lots of pics, lots of updates and very flexible and accommodating. She takes them for hikes, makes sure they each get play time. The dogs love her.”
