About: I have lived my entire life with pets, and frequently dog sat for my neighbors and family when they went on vacation. I also have volunteered for pet shelters and the local zoo. About: I have had dogs in my house since before I was born and have never gone a day with out dogs living at home. I love to take my own two dogs on walks and would love to help out others that don’t have the time or ability to take their own out on walks all the time. I currently have my two dogs, two cats and a little zoo made up of different types of pets. I typically work early mornings and I am off by noon most days so a quick afternoon walk is ideal for me. My services are available almost everyday from noon to five in the afternoon. Since I have so many of my own pets I prefer to pet sit at the clients house. I keep the space tidy and stress low—especially for pets who do best in their familiar environment. I send photo/video updates and notes after visits. In my home (boarding / daycare): Calm, supervised environment with plenty of attention since I work from home. Frequent potty breaks, exercise, and structured downtime. I keep pets separated when needed (feeding time, high energy, or if a dog prefers their own space). Only pet-safe areas are accessible—no unsafe foods, small objects, or risky spaces. My safety rules, always: I don’t take dogs off-leash unless it’s a securely fenced area and you’ve approved it. I use positive reinforcement (no harsh methods). I watch for signs of stress or illness and communicate quickly if anything seems off. My goal is for your pet to feel comfortable and for you to feel totally at ease.

“You can tell Maria truly cares about the pets in her care and goes the extra mile to provide the best experience for each of them. She asked questions I wouldn’t have thought to tell her to ensure our dog was happy and safe, including a description of the other pets that would be present during his stay. She also welcomed a meetup beforehand to make sure our dog was compatible with her own pets, and showed me her house and yard, which gave me peace of mind. During his stay, she provided daily walks and enrichment, and sent awesome daily updates with photos. Our dog is normally very nervous being away from us, but actually seemed disappointed to leave Maria’s house when we picked him up!”

“Kilo had the best vacation stay with April & Rachel (Aliyah & Honey too). He was so happy and came home exhausted!! He needed a day of RnR from his stay. Now for my personal review. Now that I have met April & Rachel, I would not take Kilo any place else to watch our boy. I felt so comfortable after our meet & greet with the living arrangements and with the humans watching over him. I knew he would be treated like a king and in good safe hands. I didn’t have to worry about him the whole time I was gone. April & Rachel sent us photos/videos of Kilo so that I could see first hand how he was doing. He was getting the love and attention (even more than when he is at home) and this made us very happy. It’s nice to know he’s in great hands when we are away. April & Rachel will be my first call for my next trip and I would recommend them for your pups too. 🐶 🐾”
