Personalized care for your dog or cat - Tortugas

Highly-rated overnight sitters - Tortugas
“We had never left our pup with a “sitter” until we had to leave for a week to a place where we couldn’t take her. Sarah is the most amazing dog lover!!! Molly was so happy with her!! Sarah sent pictures regularly and Molly was more spoiled there than at home! We will never take her back to a kennel and every time, we can’t take her, she will be with Sarah!! It was so nice not to have to worry about her while we travelled!!”

“Louisa was great with our dog. This was our first time leaving him with someone and everything went well. She was very accommodating to our schedule. We are so grateful for her support.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the deep respect, love, and attention I give every animal in my care. I truly believe animals show us how to love, live in the moment, and connect with the world around us. Because of that, I see caring for pets as more than a job — it’s a responsibility I take seriously and a relationship I genuinely value. My dedication to their care, comfort, and protection makes me a strong advocate for their joy and safety. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality, routine, and emotional needs so they feel secure, understood, and loved while their owners are away. I have experience caring for pets of all ages and temperaments, including energetic young pets who need patience, consistency, and exercise, as well as senior pets who benefit from gentleness, extra monitoring, slower walks, medication support, and calm companionship. Whether a pet wants to play, cuddle, explore, or simply rest quietly nearby, I adapt to what makes them happiest and most comfortable. My goal is always to create a peaceful, loving environment where pets are treated like family and owners feel complete peace of mind. Every day starts with pets first. The morning begins with fresh water, a snack if needed, and then straight outside to the fenced backyard for a potty break. For dogs, the next part of the routine is one of my favorites — a 3–4 mile walk to help them get exercise, stimulation, and a happy start to their day. After the walk, we settle in for breakfast if that’s part of their routine. Because I’m home throughout the day, pets are never left without attention for long. While I’m cleaning, kitchen prepping, or working around the house, I take frequent breaks for cuddles, playtime, and backyard visits. Whether it’s dogs or cats, I make sure every pet gets regular affection, attention, and companionship throughout the day. I truly enjoy creating a calm, loving environment where pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for like family. I care with attention, intention and detail. I check in often and spend time just sitting with and talking to. I give So much LOVE.
“Caitlin did an amazing job caring for my pups. She provided consistent photos and videos of my babies having fun on her land getting along with her pups too. I will definitely have my pups stay with Caitlin again with 100% trust that she will care for them as if they were her own.”

“Guillermo took such wonderful care of our 7 month old Australian cattle dog,Tahlulah. His home is spacious and beautiful and he has such a kind heart. He was patient and understanding that she was still potty training, and he took care to verify any special instructions for her care. We appreciated the daily updates with photos of her having fun with her new friends. If we ever are in the area, and need a sitter, we will definitely book Guillermo again! 5 stars!”
“I appreciate that Alejandra was available and willing to take care of my baby for a whole week with just a one week notice. She is personable and flexible, making the intro visit a breeze. She knows how to handle meds, which is a big deal for me since my baby needs different meds twice daily. She seems to love and pamper doggies- my baby was barking at me from Alejandra's bed when I went to pick her up.... TRAICIONERA! I would definitely use Alejandra again if available.”

“Isabel was AMAZING to my 16 miniture dachshund. She sent me pics throughout the day and updates of what he was up to. He was very content and more importantly safe! Isabel youre the best!!! Furever greatful!!”

“Cheryl and her place is the best place to board your dogs. She is a dog trainer and it is very apparent that her and her son love animals. When I took my doggy, Muffin, the second time and she realized where she was at, she got so excited and that told me A LOT! I highly recommend Cheryl for boarding or daycare.”

“I left my 3 labs in boarding with Erika & her family for almost 1 week. I appreciated I could easily send and receive texts to her especially without downloading an app. We enjoyed receiving daily pictures and videos on how they were doing. I appreciated Ericka's willingness to have flexibility to accomodate their needs. We really had piece of mind with her and her family giving our fur babies attention, comfort and love!”

“Here’s a cleaner, grammatically improved version while keeping your tone: Jennifer was excellent at taking care of my dog. I was in town to attend a concert, and at the last minute she was able to take care of my dog for the night. She responded quickly and provided constant updates. It definitely gave me peace of mind that my dog was in good hands!”

“Keziah took such good care of our 5 month old mini aussiedoodle puppy for a week. It was the first time we had left her, so it was nerve racking, but Keziah sent daily texts and photos which greatly relieved our minds. She is very friendly and kept our puppy on a great schedule. We would definitely book her in the future, should we need to leave our furbaby.”

“Natalie and her husband were great! We received a lot of pictures and updates that made us feel at peace that our baby was well taken care of, I will gladly consider using them again to take care of Mia.”

“Kathryn made us feel so at ease leaving our dog in her care. Her love for dogs is clear, and we loved that she has a big yard where all the pups can run and play. It was reassuring that our pup could roam freely and feel right at home, plus she gave him treats! She kept us updated daily with photos and has two very friendly dogs. Highly recommend!”

“Such a blessing to have come across Leo's profile. I couldn't be happier to have used his services. Our dogs trusted in him right away, and they enjoyed having his and his wife's undivided attention! Thank you so very much for your flexibility and constant updates. The pictures and videos were so appreciated. You truly put my mind and heart at ease. Racer and Rex know good people and will definitely be visiting again soon. From the bottom of my heart thank you for being so amazing and welcoming!”

“Ren is a fabulous sitter. Sassy is asking if he can live with us. He was so patient with her in allowing her to do her favorite thing, which is cuddle. He has a natural connection with pets. They sense his kindness. He was organized in preparing for the week and even brought Sassy samples of the cat toys that he makes with cat nip. He communicated daily about Sassy's status with super cute photos. He created new play opportunities for her with his catnip toys and the new paper bag! I came home to a super clean house! Thank you Ren!”

“Kellie did a great job! She updated us every day about our cat. The cat can be a little difficult when it comes to taking her meds but she was able to give it to her every day! Thank you!”

“Pam and Kathy were rockstar pet sitters for us! We had a water issue the first day they came over. They checked on/played with our cats and made sure they got their appropriate medications. Thank you!”

“Tommie was great! She stopped by a little early to make sure all the instructions were clear and was very communicative throughout! Will definitely contact her again in the future!”

“Samantha was amazing and diligent! She left detailed notes and pictures of every visit! She made our kitties feel comfortable. We will definitely be using her services again!”

“Jasmine is fantastic at what she does, our ladies (cats) love her and know her so well they purr when they see her. So comforting to know when you have to go away and leave them that they are in the best possible hands they could be in. Thanks Jasmine for everything!”

“Janet was amazing. She did twice-daily drop-in visits and made sure my cat got her medication and supplements at the right times. More than that, though, she was great with with my cat, figured out her habits, and accommodated her whims. I was gone for ten days, and they developed their own routine. Janet sent lots of photos, so I knew my cat was doing well. I highly recommend her and will have her look after Tacy again in the future.”

Perfect for high energy dogs - Tortugas
“Sarah was wonderful to work with! I’m from out of town and needed help to watch my dog while I attended a function. Sarah was so communicative. Her yard and home are a wonderfully homey set up and all the dogs she had there when we dropped ours off were happy and playful. Sarah’s son was a greater helper! I wish they lived closer to where we live so we could work with her more. She was a lifesaver! We will be sure to return when we visit again!”

Adventure-ready dog walkers - Tortugas
About: My whole life I've been surrounded by pets. I was born into a house with a bird and 2 dogs, but once I turned 5 I had convinced my mother to bring home a cat from the grocery store after absolutely falling in love. Years down the line I moved and eventually had 4 dogs that I walked, played with, fed, bathed and mostly took care of myself. With time I moved in with my brother to help him take care of his house with 11 guinea pigs, 3 cats, and a leopard gecko! Once I turned 18 I was finally able to adopt my own cat, and since then I have adopted another one and who brings me so much joy. I love all animals and will take care of yours like my own! I am free everyday, weekdays and weekends! I am willing to change my schedule around to fit your needs as Rover is my main focus at the moment! Safety is always my number one priority. I do my best to keep my eyes on pets at all times to make sure they're not doing something they're not supposed to or getting into things they aren't supposed to. For walks I will never just lazily hold onto the leash, instead I'll be prepared like they can run off in any second. When I feed pets I watch them to make sure they don't eat too fast and throw up, and try to encourage them to drink water as well as check to see if they need to go to the bathroom when they're done. If I'm watching a pet and they show any sign of distress it's of immediate concern to me and I will be contacting the parents, as well as a vet if needed. If you entrust me to take care of your pet I will ensure they receive the best care possible until their favorite people get home! :)
“Anna was lovely and so helpful when we were in a pinch. She walked and played with our two pups daily, arrived on time, and communicated regularly. Anna also went above and beyond what we asked of her. Super happy with the care she provided.”

“Allison is sweet and very kind. We felt comfortable with her and her communications. She followed our instructions for our dog (considerations for the heat, misting her down, checking her food and water, where to take her) and we know Gypsy was well taken care of. Recommend her and we'll book her again when we're back in the area.”

About: I absolutely love dogs and come from a family of dog lovers. For almost 40 years, I’ve adopted, rescued, and cared for dogs since I was a little girl. I’ve worked at the Humane Society as an adoption counselor, and I’ve babysat countless dogs for friends and family — caring for everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs with medical needs. My home is designed with dogs in mind. I have a very large, secure yard built so my dogs can’t get out and nothing else can get in. Inside, animals are treated like people — as part of the family. My own dog loves to nap in the sun and find cozy spots in every room, and your pup will feel just as welcome. I offer boarding, daycare, walks, hiking, and grooming add-ons like brushing and baths. You’ll receive daily photo updates, and I always follow feeding, medication, and routine instructions exactly. As an educator by trade and a compassionate individual, I bring patience, attentiveness, and a true passion for animals to every interaction. Whether your dog needs playful enrichment, gentle senior care, or just a safe, loving place to stay, I’d be honored to be their trusted sitter. I work full-time from home, so I’m here throughout the day and night to care for your pup. My large, secure backyard is always open, giving dogs the freedom to come and go as they please. Access to the backyard is available all day for the dogs and they can freely go in and out as needed. I have a safe and secure home where dogs are allowed on the furniture and in every room of the house. I do not smoke or do any drugs and will ensure the safety, love, and care of your dogs. My home is a quiet, calm, and serene environment.

For dogs, I make sure they get the exercise they need with safe, enjoyable walks tailored to their energy level and comfort. I also stick closely to their feeding schedule, ensuring they get the right food, portions, and any treats or medications they may need. When pet sitting or checking in, I spend quality time with them—whether it’s playing, cuddling, or just keeping them company so they never feel alone or anxious. For cats, I make sure their litter is clean, their food and water are fresh, and they have a calm environment to relax in. I am currently a full time student but am taking a variety of online classes so I have lots of time during the weekday and weekends. This also allows me to be free in the afternoons often. I provide dependable pet care including daily walks, overnight stays, training reinforcement, and medication/wound care. I have consistently built lasting relationships with families through frequent, responsible service.

About: I am a proud owner of a 11 year old boxer/lab mix. I dedicate a lot of my time to my beautiful, smart and loyal baby and take him out for walks in the woods by our house. He loves to swim in the creek and stay close to me at all times. I know how to give dogs medication and have acquired so much patience having had aging dogs in the past and now a senior dog. Dogs know when you are sad, happy, lonely, frustrated, tired, etc. and sympathize with your overall emotions. I respect that, so I try to keep a positive environment for them. Can give oral medications and can take your dogs for walks at no extra cost. I also can bathe your dog at no extra cost upon requesting. Can't wait. I work from home so I am available 7 days/week. My husband is currently retired and I am in the process of retirement myself. I do have time to take care of pups and my husband's assistance is ideal. I have a fenced in yard and a friendly boxer/lab that is very socialized. I make sure the pups are safe at all times by checking on them outside, especially in the heat of the Summer time and making sure all their needs are met.

“Louisa was great with our dog. This was our first time leaving him with someone and everything went well. She was very accommodating to our schedule. We are so grateful for her support.”

“Nadine was wonderful. She had our boys for 8 days and made them feel right at home and loved for the holidays. It was great getting daily photos and having peace of mind that they were happy & well cared for!”

About: I do really well with pets, If ever I'm at a gathering and there's pets around, I'm usually with them instead of talking to humans. i am very extremely available basically everyday of the week. Heck, you can call me in the middle of the night when you're hungover at a friend's house and I'll watch your pet pets need love like everything does. I am very calm with animals. I tend to get close to them with a soft voice, never rough house or pet wildly to bother them. They respond very well to a calm demeanor
