“Rosalia cared for our dog Winnie for 3 weeks while we took a dream vacation. It was pretty hard for us to feel good about leaving Winnie for so long, but Rosalia made it easy with daily updates. It was clear to us that Winnie was having a great time, which enabled us to have a good time on our trip. Thanks Rosalia!”

“Karen is truly wonderful. Entrusting anyone with my fur baby was a tough thing to do but she has made it easy. Baylee does very well with her and she loves to run and play in her huge yard. Karen keeps me informed the entire time she has my girl. I have a long trip coming up and I am fully confident Baylee will be well taken care of. Highly recommended.”

“Maellen took such sweet and gentle care of our senior lady. Pup had just had abdominal surgery and we were so nervous to leave her. Maellen was wonderful with the extra after surgery care and extra needs that go along with the extra encouragement needed for an older dog to do anything. Will definitely book again. Just can’t say enough about how fantastic the care was.”

I got plenty of updates and my dog is tuckered out from all of his playtime. Definitely will be booking with them again next time we are out of town, so glad to have found them through Rover.”
“Bonni is amazing. She helped Sky have her 1st stay over. She was gentle and encouraging to this spoiled little ACD. Even hand fed her because she wouldn’t eat her breakfast. Trooper and Sky even played zoomies through the house. Thank you so much Ms. Bonni. You are absolutely the best!”

“mark was lovely. i am very picky about who i leave my dog with and i am thrilled to have found him. he let us drop by before the stay so they could meet, and he took such great care of my dog. he sent so many photos and videos and she always looked happy and comfortable. i can see that they bonded deeply during her 4-day stay. mark also brushed her thoroughly, just as a bonus, i hadn't asked him to. thank you, mark, for being so attentive.”

“Holly and Robert were amazing. Kenzie had some trouble interacting with other dogs before but they have amazing dog skills to help her to work and have fun with the other dogs. They did great and Kenzie came home happy and healthy. Way better than some sterile kennel. I am so happy Kenzie found a home away from home.”

“Debbie took great care of my fur baby. I appreciated that she accepted on short notice. It was a short stay but it was nice knowing Zipper was in good hands”

“It’s scary to leave your pet with someone you don’t know but Miranda was so nice and answered all my questions so I felt more at ease leaving Fred in her care. She sent plenty of pictures and was ok with me texting to check in whenever I got worried. Fred was clean and happy when we picked him up. It was midday so she even picked him up and brought him to the car so he wouldn’t burn his paws. I wouldn’t hesitate to put Fred in her care again if needed.”

About: I gained hands-on experience working with cats while employed at an animal shelter, where I provided individualized care based on each cat’s unique needs. This included feeding, cleaning, administering basic care, monitoring behavior and health, and offering enrichment and socialization. Through this experience, I developed patience, strong observation skills, and a deep understanding of how to support cats with different temperaments, ages, and medical or emotional needs.
About: I absolutely love dogs, and will treat your baby like mine. I got into this because finding good care for my dog is such a stressful experience as my tolerance for risk is extremely low. I am a nervous dog mom and will care for your pets like they are my own, they will be safe and secure with me and you will get as many updates as you would like. I’m available for boarding on the weekends as well as from Tuesday- Wednesday night. I work in ABQ as well so if you need someone to stay at your house during the week while you are on vacation I am happy to do that as well. In clients home I want to make sure I have a good understanding of their routine and behavior. Having a high level overview of your dog will help me care for them. A former roommates dog had a thing for people on skateboards so when we were on walks, I knew I needed to hold him tight as they were passing. Understanding your dogs quirks will help me care for them.
“Izabella was wonderful!! She's super responsive, an excellent communicator, and has a lovely and warm personality. She took great care of my special needs chihuahua while I was out of town, and I look forward to booking her in the future.”

Paloma was so attentive and really met all of her needs. She sent updates with photos and made us feel so at ease that our cat and our home were in good hands. Came home to a happy cat and clean house. Would recommend Paloma highly to anyone!”

About: I was always feeding neighborhood cats in my childhood and would spend a lot of time outside loving on them. When I was 15 my parents finally allowed me a kitty of my own and I instantly fell in love with being a cat owner! I owned my first kitty when

“Miranda was great! This was our first time leaving Remy with someone, and he was very nervous at first, but she did a great job calming him down. A few hours later, she sent us videos of him playing with the other dogs, which made us happy to see.”

“Lauren and Devan were so great helping my nervous little dog get comfortable and feel at home on long days in a strange place. I felt she was safe around other dogs and was so glad that she got more playful and relaxed after being there for a short time”

“Melissa and her sweet family took such great care of my high energy dog. Not only did she send a ton of adorable pictures of the pack exercising & snuggling, but from the moment she greeted my dog, I could tell she was in good hands. I definitely will be using her services again, my dog came home super tired and looked so happy throughout the day! Thank you Melissa!”

“Holly did a great job with our boy, he had fun playing with the other dogs and got lots of attention. He was excited to go back for daycare after our meet n greet which is always great to see. We definitely recommend!”

“My dog absolutely loved it at Cindy's house!! It's my first time using rover so I was a little nervous but Cindy went above and beyond! You can tell she really loves dogs and knows what she's doing. I definitely recommend!”

About: I have lived with at least 2 dogs in my household for the past 20 years. Providing them with the opportunities to live fulfilling and healthy lives has been my priority. Although I am their caregiver, I consider them also to be my teachers. Learning how to communicate with them is the best way to ensure they are happy and calm, and that they feel safe. I am currently retired and spend quite a bit of time at the dog park. My dog and I are mostly inseparable. I take him with me to run errands when I can. It isn't always practical and so he minds the house when I am away. Barney is my only companion, and, even though I'm kind of a loner, Barney is NOT. He is extremely friendly and social and craves the company of other dog;, that factors into my decision to care for other dogs in my home. Barney will help me keep your dog comfortable and happy while in our care. We have a fenced back yard (4 foot). The surrounding properties have no dogs at this time. If your dog can jump a 4 foot fence, this may not be the safest home for him or her.
“Josie, her husband, and Paco took great care of my Pip while we were vacationing in ABQ. Having Pip go over to her house allowed us to get some hikes, bike rides, and brunches in without having to worry is our young, energetic dog was being destructive or bored at the Airbnb. Highly recommend, and will definitely request Josie again when we return.”

“Michael was very helpful and accommodating. I believe he did his best with Rocco to keep him occupied. Rocco has separation anxiety, but Michael made the efforts to gain his trust in a limited timeframe. We were very appreciative with his services!”

“Christina is a very thoughtful sitter! She has a great set up. Extra dog crates, a gate before the door so no one runs out, covered couch she lets the dogs up on, and a good little yard. My dog had a blast playing with her and other dog she was watching. We were delayed in our travels and she was very flexible! Told me not to rush and sent a ton of pictures letting me know Lyra was having a good time. She even let me book last minute with a quick meet and greet the night before. Thanks Christina!”

“Mark, did an amazing job with our first timers. He checked with us frequently and it seemed our dogs loved it and where comfortable with him. For our dogs, it was there first time at another persons home and for us as well. Marks, patience was and understanding was greatly appreciated.”

“Melinda was wonderful, she took amazing care of Willie. I received pictures and updates on how he is doing. She is warm and responsible and takes good care of those fur-babies! highly recommend and will come back.”

“Peter took great care of my high energy black lab Birdie. Birdie and Peter's dog Mia hit it off right from the get go. Would not hesitate to leave Birdie with Peter anytime. Planning her next visit now.”

“I met Elaine and her doggies about a year ago. My dogs finally stayed at her house for four nights last month, and then for one day last week. My dogs had already met her dogs a year ago, and when they met up again, they were like old pals. No growling or hassling. It was perfect! I got daily updates and pictures from Elaine. It was so comforting! And my dogs did great at her house and with her dogs, and it was just the best! I booked a full-day stay last week, and they were literally going INSANE when we were driving into her neighborhood. That tells me a lot about their experience there! They love going to Elaine's house! Our next booking is during the Christmas-New Year's Eve time frame, and my dogs are already so excited, and Elaine has let me know that so is she, and she's gearing her doggies up for a week-long visit :-) My neighbors/friends that used to keep them all the time are moving back to NJ, so this is exactly what I needed at this time in my life. I feel completely comfortable leaving my dogs at Elaine's, whether it's for a day or a week! This is the best thing EVER!!!!”

“I always feel better when I know my pup gets to see Rita. She always gives detailed reports and lots of pics and I can tell by how happy my pup is to see her that she takes good care of her.”

“Celeste was warm, friendly, and kind with Oreo, who is still getting used to doggy daycare. She made sure Oreo felt comfortable. Her dog Murphy was as gentle and welcoming, which really helped Oreo adjust. I’m super grateful for the care and looking forward to having Oreo stay with Celeste and Murphy again. Thank you!”

About: I have grown up with dogs all my life, from Yorkies to German Shepherds. Providing the love and care to other dogs while you’re away is my priority! About: Now serving the greater Albuquerque Area! To all of my Utah clients, I miss your pups 💜 I moved to Albuquerque in September 2023. When I moved to Utah, by myself, in January 2023, I got lonely and craved animal connection, so I began with Rover. It has been such a great thing in my life. I hope to continue my services in New Mexico. I now have 2 pups of my own, but my partner cares for them when I am sitting. I will never bring them to a sit unless prior meeting and permission of the owners. Bloopers and Scub are young, big, lover boys with a lot of energy. They LOVE other dogs. Sophie, my senior pup, had to be put down before I moved to Utah. I cared for her heart and kidney failure for 3 years. I am experienced with senior pups and can handle all the way down to puppies, too. I love cats. I am also a trained bird handler. I have pet sit for my professors and coworkers before, from hunting lab puppies to senior Maltese. Since moving to Utah at the beginning of the year, I have house sat, done drop-ins, and walks. I have house sat for all kinds of pups from labs to yorkies, goldendoodles to bulldogs. I work a very flexible full-time, telework option, job. I can check/walk in morning, lunch, dinner and through the night if needed. Week days and weekends. I have extensive experience giving pets drugs and other heath needs. I can do any form of exercise or travel needed. I will always double check doors are locked and secured.
About: I don’t really have any restrictions on what I can handle, I’m used to taking care of elderly dogs, and having to cater to specialized diets or even mobility issues. But I have also cared for very energetic puppies, and middle-age dogs who just need to get out of the house or have a little companionship. I am a student athlete however, I do tend to have a lot of free time in the midday to afternoon range and on the weekends. I have two other very friendly dogs, and a large fenced in yard that is also close to a lot of other walking paths and parks. There is also plenty of space in my house in order to for dogs to be kept separately if they are not friendly, or cater to other needs such as crates.
About: From fostering a Great Dane and her seven puppies to caring for my own aging dog sick with cancer, I can care for animals at any stage. I’m newish on Rover, but I have been traveling and pet sitting all over the country, so my reviews are on Trusted House Sitter for reference. I look forward to chatting! I work during the week and remotely at times, so I have flexibility to accommodate any schedule. I have a car and can transport wherever. It’s just me and my dog in my apartment, but we have a first floor with a small yard out front that Kesey likes to sunbathe in. All the neighbors stop and say hello.

About: I have experience caring for dogs and cats and am confident in providing attentive, reliable care. My experience includes feeding, walking, playtime, and maintaining daily routines. I prioritize each pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being, and I strive to provide dependable care so owners can feel confident while they are away. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine. I currently care for two kittens and a puppy, so my schedule includes feeding, playtime, walks, training, and cleaning throughout the day. Because I’m used to balancing the different needs of young pets, I’m organized, attentive, and consistent with routines. This makes it easy for me to provide reliable, high-quality care for additional pets during the week. In my home, I provide a safe, clean, and pet-friendly environment with close supervision, regular feeding, playtime, and plenty of attention. I follow established routines and provide age-appropriate care, including training support for puppies and enrichment for kittens. In a client’s home, I respect their space and closely follow all care instructions to keep pets comfortable in their familiar environment. This includes feeding, walks, litter box or waste cleanup, playtime, medication if needed, and regular updates to owners. My goal is to maintain consistency, reduce stress, and ensure each pet feels secure and well cared for.
About: I have owned a dog since I was 5, and cats shorty after. I have always been a huge animal lover and have owned my own dog throughout the years. Currently, I have a 13 year old Boston Terrier/Boxer mix and a 1 year old cat. But my love doesn't stop with them! I love taking care of any furry friend & have for many years. How does pet care fit into your daily or weekly routine? I work from home so I have the ability to tailor my schedule to fit every need! We are home most of the time so our babies are indoor pets! We allow our dog to sit on the couch and sleep in the bed for maximum cuddles! Furry friends with more rules will abide by those (no secret couch sits) but will still receive all the love and attention they need. Walks are given with playtime for the most stimulation.
About: I worked at the Albuquerque BioPark zoo for 5 years taking care of many types of animals. My time there has made me passionate about providing the highest quality animal care and enrichment. I make it my goal to give your pets a stay-cation while you vacation or work! I have worked with dogs and cats of all ages, and also small animals, birds, and barn animals. I am especially good with elder pets and am familiar with their mobility and medication requirements. I currently dog-walk and pet-sit full time so I’ll be able to provide lots of care and attention during the day/evenings. I usually only leave the pets for a few hours at a time and can adjust this to fit your schedule. I usually do not care for pets in my home. I believe that by staying in your home and keeping pets in their usual routines, they thrive the best.

“Melissa was fantastic! Handled our pup (who can be a handful) like a pro! Sent tons of pictures and kept me updated the whole time. Would absolutely send our fur baby back to her.”

“Jessie took great care of Dublin. It was obvious he had a really fun time while he was there. It was comforting to know he was well taken care of while we were away.”

“Michael watched our fur baby for 13 days. She is approx. 14 yrs old, and we were worried about leaving her for such a long period of time. Michael's calm and easy demeanor was reassurance that she would be fine. She does not get along with other animals and as the only pet Michael watched he was able to provide her with individual attention. He sent photos daily, which we greatly appreciated. We will definitely use his services again. Michael, thank you for taking such good care of our family member!”

“Onrae took good care of Lexi who was much more relaxed and normal than when she stays in the kennel or with other sitters. Already booked next appointment.”

“Joshua is great. He's a natural with dogs, and it's obvious he loves them! I HIGHLY recommend Joshua and his home for extended boarding. He has a very large yard for play, and the dogs love it! I travel a lot, and I will be using Joshua every time. My puppy, Mocha, made a new friend with Joshua's dog, Blitzen. Immediately, they became friends and were inseparable for seven days. Thank you, Joshua!!! My wife and I are very grateful for the care you gave Mocha!!!”

“We could not be more grateful to have found Marlena for our first River experience! Especially on a last minute notice! Leaving our doggos with someone new is always a bit stressful, but she instantly won them (& us) over & treated our dogs like her own. Throughout the stay (overnight plus additional hours), Marlena was incredibly sincere & honest with us about how our dogs were doing. She provided detailed updates, photos & videos, we so appreciated her open communication. It gave us complete peace of mind knowing our dogs were in such a safe, capable, & loving hands. Our dogs just loved her so much. We will absolutely be booking with Marlena again!”

“Doug was so easy to work with and accommodating. My dogs had a lovely time with him. Even though one of my girls got sick with tummy troubles a couple of days before the stay, he agreed to still watch all 3. Stellar experience overall”

“My dog was super anxious and Crystal was so accommodating and helpful while I was away. She went above and beyond to take care of my dog and I’m incredibly grateful!”

“Celine was awesome! She took awesome care of our baby and she communicated with us every day. Our dog was very well taken care for and I can’t recommend her enough!”

“Lauren was great! As someone with hyper dogs, I super happy that Lauren was able to take them to the dog park and on walks to get their zoomies out. I could tell my pups felt right at home with her. 10/10”

“Jamie did an excellent job dog-sitting! She was very communicative, kind, and responsible. She took excellent care of our dog and we would use her again and recommend her highly.”
