My dogs get along with Patricia's small dog, Sophie, and enjoy their surroundings during their stay (Patricia has a beautiful patio and spends time with them outside). “Laura and her partner have a large and nice outdoor space for the dogs! When my elderly but high energy dog, Dimitri, went to stay with them, he promptly became part of their pack! Laura sent me pictures of him going on walks with the other dogs on the trail by her house. I can tell he was very active while he was there because when I picked him up, he was out! He said hi to me, but then was soon snoring loudly. One quick note: given my dog is a largely indoor dog (we do not have a backyard), I did have to clean him off a bit once we got home. But I can tell overall he had a great time!”

Although I am their caregiver, I consider them also to be my teachers. Learning how to communicate with them is the best way to ensure they are happy and calm, and that they feel safe. I am currently retired and spend quite a bit of time at the dog park. My dog and I are mostly inseparable. I take him with me to run errands when I can. It isn't always practical and so he minds the house when I am away. Barney is my only companion, and, even though I'm kind of a loner, Barney is NOT. He is extremely friendly and social and craves the company of other dog;, that factors into my decision to care for other dogs in my home. Barney will help me keep your dog comfortable and happy while in our care. We have a fenced back yard (4 foot). The surrounding properties have no dogs at this time. If your dog can jump a 4 foot fence, this may not be the safest home for him or her.

About: I absolutely love dogs, and will treat your baby like mine. I got into this because finding good care for my dog is such a stressful experience as my tolerance for risk is extremely low. I am a nervous dog mom and will care for your pets like they are my own, they will be safe and secure with me and you will get as many updates as you would like. I’m available for boarding on the weekends as well as from Tuesday- Wednesday night. I work in ABQ as well so if you need someone to stay at your house during the week while you are on vacation I am happy to do that as well. In clients home I want to make sure I have a good understanding of their routine and behavior. Having a high level overview of your dog will help me care for them. A former roommates dog had a thing for people on skateboards so when we were on walks, I knew I needed to hold him tight as they were passing. Understanding your dogs quirks will help me care for them.

About: I have taken care of my own dogs/cats as well as families pets, I can create a big connection with animals, especially dogs, I have a big heart for all animals I’m currently a stay at home mom of a toddler and she loves animals just as much as me, walking dogs or having to go visit them would get us out of the house and we’re almost always free. I do have a little Banana Bread side business too. I have a fenced yard, 3 dogs (a saint bernard thats a bit older, a chihuahua and a blue heeler mix) and one cat, the cat is an outdoor cat. Our dogs haven’t been around too many other animals besides families dogs but once they meet new dogs and get to know each other they can get along well with them.

About: I have owned diabetic dogs and one with epilepsy. Friends and coworkers always ask me to watch their furbabies because they know how good my husband and I are with our own. They trust us and coming from someone who rarely traveled and when I did I took them with me because I don't trust others would take care of them like I do. I understand the anxiety that comes with having to leave them behind for whatever reason. Knowing they will be loved and have fun makes it that much easier for both you and your pet. Safety and security are also most important to us so rest assured they will be okay. I'm a stay at home mom and my husband's business is from home so we are both always here. We never leave for more that 3 hours due to our 2 dogs. I have a fenced yard with lots of room to run around. My brother also lives across from me and has over an acre of running room as well if needed. My husband and I work from home and are always available. We used to have dogs with medical issues and couldn't really leave them with anyone. My husband and I love animals and know how hard it is to leave them anywhere. Even at petsmart hotel they stay inside a small area and the play area isn't that big. We work from home and are never away longer than 4 hours. We have a 2 year old who is really good with the dogs as well but Rest assured we never let her play with them unattended. We have a large yard for dogs and know that they will be taken care of and loved while visiting us. All pets need love and attention. Even pet hotels leave them alone overnight and the thought of them having to hold it or use it in their space to feel ashamed is aweful. With us you get peace of mind and that's priceless In my home they will be treated like our own. They can play outside as long as they want. They scratch on the door ahead. They want in or out. They sleep inside on our bed with us of course. We want them to sleep wherever they feel comfortable. My dog buddy sleeps in his cage when he stays with others because he feels safe there so we understand everyone is different.

About: From birth I have been surrounded by cats, dogs, horses, chickens, goats, and many creatures in between. My dad trained dogs and horses (no such thing as cat training…. If you know, you know) and taught me all he knows. I have fostered and trained puppies and currently have 2 cats of my own who are great with dogs. I am a travel nurse and don’t think the long shifts would be fair to have a dog of my own, otherwise I would! I had to remove all of my bengal’s teeth after an emergency and had to fight a newly adopted bengal to give him his antibiotics and pain meds in forms of pills and drops. I have lived through many animals’s passing from old age so am well versed in senior cares as well. Through my career and life experiences no emergency is too big for me. Your pets activity level will become mine- young or old hearted I am here to hang! I got cats so I could go away for weekends and still hire folks on Rover to come give them love on trips they can’t come cause I feel too bad otherwise. Pets are our babies and alike to humans all have their own personalities. I am super excited to get to know yours and thank you for trusting me with your family members :) I work 12 hour night shifts from 7pm-7am 3 days a week, but my partner works from home so there is always someone to give them love. Off days are spent in the mountains on trails or relaxing around the house. I have a large backyard and 2 cats who are missing a dog to play with or rooms they can safely relax in if your furry friend is not other-pet friendly. I come home to go on a walk and wake up in time to drink some coffee and enjoy some hours before work. I have a high fenced yard. I like to keep the routine the same as their normal, so will rely on your directions on when to feed, exercise, and wind down if there are any specifics. Multiple walks a day during the cooler hours is my favorite way to exercise, and if your pup is social enjoy a good social outing to the local dog park. I like to fish up in the mountains so picnics and splashes in some mountain water is always a dog approved activity in my experience

Growing up, my family had 13 dogs, so caring for them and being surrounded by animals was a significant part of my childhood. As I grew older, so did they, and unfortunately, most have since passed away. After moving to New Mexico three years ago, I quickly realized how much I missed having my furry companions around. That inspired me to begin providing pet care services through Rover. Since then, I have had the opportunity to care for many different breeds, personalities, and ages from small and large dogs to puppies and seniors. Becoming a pet sitter has truly been one of the most rewarding decisions I have made. A few months ago, I also began co-parenting a Miniature Schnauzer and. Shih Tzu with my sister, which has reminded me just how much I enjoy spending time with dogs, caring for them, and keeping them happy and entertained. I truly believe the saying that “a dog is a person’s best friend.” ❤️ Our pets may be one chapter of our lives, but to them, we are their whole story. As a sitter, my goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, loved, and cared for while you are away. I understand how important routines are, so I do my best to follow your pet’s normal schedule and provide plenty of attention, companionship, comfort, and playtime. About: I absolutely love dogs, and will treat your baby like mine. I got into this because finding good care for my dog is such a stressful experience as my tolerance for risk is extremely low. I am a nervous dog mom and will care for your pets like they are my own, they will be safe and secure with me and you will get as many updates as you would like. I’m available for boarding on the weekends as well as from Tuesday- Wednesday night. I work in ABQ as well so if you need someone to stay at your house during the week while you are on vacation I am happy to do that as well. In clients home I want to make sure I have a good understanding of their routine and behavior. Having a high level overview of your dog will help me care for them. A former roommates dog had a thing for people on skateboards so when we were on walks, I knew I needed to hold him tight as they were passing. Understanding your dogs quirks will help me care for them.
About: I have grown up with cats and dogs and have plenty of experience taking care of both! From taking walks, feeding, bathing and light grooming, I am no stranger to the nitty gritty! Especially when it comes to paying close attention and giving proper care to each pet! Currently I have a 3 legged cat named Frodo who enjoys going on trail walks and hikes. I know for many people today their pets are a furry part of the family, so I would treat them with the same love and care I give my cats and dobies, and make sure your animals are genuinely cared for while you are away. “Laura and her partner have a large and nice outdoor space for the dogs! When my elderly but high energy dog, Dimitri, went to stay with them, he promptly became part of their pack! Laura sent me pictures of him going on walks with the other dogs on the trail by her house. I can tell he was very active while he was there because when I picked him up, he was out! He said hi to me, but then was soon snoring loudly. One quick note: given my dog is a largely indoor dog (we do not have a backyard), I did have to clean him off a bit once we got home. But I can tell overall he had a great time!”
