There are two cats inside so I do need to know if your dog is or isn’t cat friendly. I know dog body language from my years of boarding, so I can spot stress or overstimulation before it becomes an issue. If any pup needs a break, I have quiet spaces set up for alone time. I also require updated vaccines and am comfortable giving oral medications if needed. With two friendly resident dogs, I carefully manage introductions and group play to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable.

“Apollo can be a handful with his anxiety and reactivity, and Bri handled it beautifully. They had a rocky first night, because he kept barking at every small noise. After several hours of this, he had her a bit worried about whether or not she could get him to settle down and sleep. But she stuck with it and got him to calm down and pass out. From there the visit went great. She followed our feeding and medication instructions exactly, worked on some training with him during his stay, and did a nice job with redirecting his attention when he got reactive on walks. Communication was excellent throughout. I received regular photos and updates, and she flagged any concerns as they came up rather than letting them sit. The best sign of how the weekend went: at pickup, Apollo planted himself on and between her feet multiple times while we were talking about how the weekend went. He clearly trusts and adores her, which can be difficult given his anxiety. We'll absolutely be booking with her again!”

She sent pictures and updates daily, and assured us that things were going well. She kindly agreed to feed and water the wild birds and rabbits, and even sent pictures of them. About: Since a kid I've been surrounded by dogs. I was taught young how to care for and interact with them. Since then I've always had pets and made sure they lived the best lives they possibly could. While I don't have any sort of specialized skills when it comes to pet care I do have plenty of experience. The majority of my adult life has been spent in the military and security industry. Our yard is completely fenced six foot high with no gaps. The dogs will stay outside unless it’s cold or rainy. Inside, I keep a clean (tho covered in fur), dog-friendly space with water always available and hazardous items well out of reach. There are two cats inside so I do need to know if your dog is or isn’t cat friendly. I know dog body language from my years of boarding, so I can spot stress or overstimulation before it becomes an issue. If any pup needs a break, I have quiet spaces set up for alone time. I also require updated vaccines and am comfortable giving oral medications if needed. With two friendly resident dogs, I carefully manage introductions and group play to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable.

“Apollo can be a handful with his anxiety and reactivity, and Bri handled it beautifully. They had a rocky first night, because he kept barking at every small noise. After several hours of this, he had her a bit worried about whether or not she could get him to settle down and sleep. But she stuck with it and got him to calm down and pass out. From there the visit went great. She followed our feeding and medication instructions exactly, worked on some training with him during his stay, and did a nice job with redirecting his attention when he got reactive on walks. Communication was excellent throughout. I received regular photos and updates, and she flagged any concerns as they came up rather than letting them sit. The best sign of how the weekend went: at pickup, Apollo planted himself on and between her feet multiple times while we were talking about how the weekend went. He clearly trusts and adores her, which can be difficult given his anxiety. We'll absolutely be booking with her again!”

“Wendy was great. She sent me pics of him, gave me updates of the situation, and asked if there was anything else she could do to keep Almond comfortable. Wendy let me know immediately that Almond started howling in the middle of the night. I wasn't sure what was going on since he never did that at home. My initial thought was he was missing me and home. And because of his age, I believe he got disoriented and lost and couldn't identify where he was at. Wendy did follow the instructions I left and asked if there was anything more she could do. I appreciate Wendy giving Almond the extra care he needed. Thanks again..”
