In the past, we always had to put Cooper in a boarding kennel where he would be caged. It was hard for us particularly because we knew his separation anxiety would make him upset and miserable. I was especially happy to hear how well our dogs got along and that lots of play and tug of war sessions were had 😄 Pepper was treated like family and we'll absolutely rebook next time we have to go away.”

About: I am a dog owner myself and absolutely love my girl Louise and understand how important pets are to their people and vice versa. Dogs and cats have always loved me. My style is to allow them to get comfortable around me before I try to engage with them. Once we are comfortable with each other they will enjoy regular walks outside and indoor games of fetch, hide and seek, and belly rubs! . I am very responsible with other peoples furry loved ones and always enjoy being around animals. I feel strongly that our pets are family and will see your pets as family too. I am working remotely so I will be present in the house most of the time. I provide a strong attention and interaction with dog(s). The backyard is a medium size, completely enclosed. No other dogs are around. Also, I have security cameras so we can monitor them in the house if we are out. Dogs are allowed to chill on the couch.

Our cats are very skittish, and do not really like strangers, but Misty did everything she could to socialize with the cats and make them comfortable. By the end of the stay, I believe the cats were not as afraid, and started warming up to her, which is a big accomplishment! She sent pictures and updates daily, and assured us that things were going well. She kindly agreed to feed and water the wild birds and rabbits, and even sent pictures of them. The house was immaculate upon our return, and we knew that the cats were safe and well cared for. I would definitely recommend Misty, and look forward to having her house sit in the future!!”

About: Hello, my name is Tabatha and I started pet-sitting for my aunt and her 7 cats when I was 14. I am now 35, and she now has one doggy that I continue to care for. I always enjoy the time I am able to spend with different animals as a pet sitter. I grew up in a rented home and wasn't able to have my own pets until I was 16. At 16 I was adopted by a beautiful tuxedo tom cat named "Moo." I had 15 wonderful years with my baby. My partner and I just adopted a stray kitten we found. Her name is Sprout. She is playful, but not aggressive. We are currently having clients do a meet and greet with her at our place before accepting any boarding requests. I've been a volunteer at the Albuquerque Eastside shelter, and I am looking forward to volunteering there soon, and at some point Walking in Circles Ranch. I have taken an animal first aid course with the Red Cross and hope to further that knowledge more this year. I have experience with small pets like mice, guinea pigs, and hedgehogs. I am comfortable with all breeds of dogs and cats. I also pet/house sit regularly for multiple-pet homes. PLEASE NOTE: During the summer, I do not walk dogs on city streets between the hours of 10 am and 8 pm. It gets too hot for me and the pups. I don't mind taking them to a park though! When house-sitting I prefer to have a visual walk through of procedures and also written instructions. I follow orders exactly and contact owners if there are any questions. I send pictures often of pets. I keep homes and animal areas as they were when owners left. I am also comfortable administering medications.

About: I have lived with at least 2 dogs in my household for the past 20 years. Providing them with the opportunities to live fulfilling and healthy lives has been my priority. Although I am their caregiver, I consider them also to be my teachers. Learning how to communicate with them is the best way to ensure they are happy and calm, and that they feel safe. I am currently retired and spend quite a bit of time at the dog park. My dog and I are mostly inseparable. I take him with me to run errands when I can. It isn't always practical and so he minds the house when I am away. Barney is my only companion, and, even though I'm kind of a loner, Barney is NOT. He is extremely friendly and social and craves the company of other dog;, that factors into my decision to care for other dogs in my home. Barney will help me keep your dog comfortable and happy while in our care. We have a fenced back yard (4 foot). The surrounding properties have no dogs at this time. If your dog can jump a 4 foot fence, this may not be the safest home for him or her.

About: I’ve taken care of my senior dog for four years before she passed away. This includes feeding, bathing, brushing, meeting her potty needs and walking. I also pet sit for two dogs when their owner is out of town. I work for a restaurant during the morning or afternoon shift for roughly 6 hours. I can work in between those times and I only have one shift a day. (Some days are completely open!) I am very good about respecting spaces and following directions. I usually walk dogs twice a day around the neighborhood; however, I will follow whatever directions are given. I love giving attention to pets, especially dogs that need some extra care. Adopting my dog as a senior gave me a special love for all senior dogs!
