Personalized care for your dog or cat - Cedar Hill

Highly-rated overnight sitters - Cedar Hill
About: I have taken care of a variety of animals, starting from a young age. My parents had a little farm and a love for Boxers, a very high energy breed. I have a preference for Great-Danes and other gentle giants, but I love all dogs! Our 1.5 acre backyard is fenced and ready for your pet to play, potty, and chill with our 8 year-old graying pup, Olympus. I walk my pet one mile everyday and often run another mile on my own since my dog is elderly and cannot run with me. Meals are twice, sometimes three times a day. I clean the floors, rugs, and all doggie blankets once a week to maintain a hygienic environment. I work from home so I am always around. I have a flexible schedule that can fit your pups needs. I can manage high-energy pups, I have air conditioning, and I have an insurance plan through Pet Care Insurance.
“There are not enough thank yous for Virginia. Our senior golden hurt her knee and Virginia took over and rendered care like one of her own. She was so helpful and communicative with me. No doubt in my mind we’ll contact her again when we revisit Durango.”

“Rachel was amazing! She sent pictures and updates frequently, and she always responded quickly. She made me feel very comfortable using Rover for the first time. She really cared a lot about Mowgli’s comfort and well-being, as well as how I felt. Mowgli loved her and her dog. He got a lot of exercise, ate well, slept well, and seemed to have a great time. I highly recommend Rachel!!”

“Darek was fantastic with my pup! She was a happy girl when I picked her up. On top of that, my trip ended up getting extended two extra days and Darek was so helpful and communicative during the whole process, it took a huge weight off of my shoulders as a pet parent! Definitely recommend him as a sitter and will be using him again!!”

“Leonor was so kind and did such a great job with my dog Sophie. This is the first time I have left her with anyone and Leonor made it comfortable and kept me informed the whole time and was so happy. She sent me a picture about 15 minutes after I left and I knew everything was going to be great. I will definitely be using her again. I couldn’t be happier.”

“Miki had a great time with Jackson. He took great care of her, and took her out every day hiking and adventuring. I received updates and photos. She always seemed so happy and really enjoyed her stay. We'll be using Jackson again.”

“Allena did a great job watching our little Mila for the day while we took the steam train to Silverton. She sent us updates throughout the day. We had total peace of mind knowing she was caring for her. When we picked her up she sent her home with a goody bag! Allena is such a sweet and caring person. Any pet would love being in her care. I highly recommend her.”

About: Since childhood, I’ve always felt most at home among nonhuman animals, and I’ll never understand humans who treat animals as less deserving of love, respect, and care. My animals are my family, and I promise to care for your animals as if they were my own. I have experience with cats and dogs of all temperaments. One of my dogs has a history of reactivity and aggression towards other dogs. I feel very comfortable managing this type of behavior using treats, ecollar, muzzle, prevention techniques, and communication with other dog-owners. I’m also experienced managing groups of dogs off leash and will work with your dog to reinforce good recall and safety behaviors (such as stopping at intersections, waiting before they go out of sight, sitting for cars, passing other dogs, etc.). I am a writer who works from home. I am available for daycare, afternoon walks & drop-ins, and select boarding for dogs who get along well with my two dogs and are good with cats. If your dog is trained off-leash, has solid recall, and is either good with other dogs or muzzle trained, I offer pack hikes and walks. I have a large fenced yard with a dog door that goes into the main living areas. My two dogs & 4 cats are onsite. Your dog must be good with cats and other dogs or be muzzle-trained to attend daycare or boarding at my home. Your dogs will get a walk or adventure during daycare (unless you prefer them not to, in which case they must be able to stay home alone for 1-2 hours either kenneled or loose without becoming destructive). To attend off-leash pack walks/hikes, your dogs must demonstrate reliable recall even when triggers are present (such as an other dogs, wildlife, cats, cars, etc.). Your dog must also have no history of aggression towards other dogs or people OR be muzzle-trained.
“Savannah was wonderful with Alice during her four-night stay! She communicated consistently, sent updates, and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. Most importantly, Alice absolutely loved her and came home happy and well cared for. I would definitely book with Savannah again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable sitter for their dog.”

“Becca was great! Very responsive in communications, and very understanding of our unique Emmitt. It was a great match, and Emmitt and Kodak are now BFFs. I won't hesitate to use Becca in the future.”

“Yesenia gave great care to our Labrador. He had several other friends to play with while there and a great yard to run around in. She was very good at communicating during the stay. Loki had a great time playing in water to keep cool also.”

“Heather did such an amazing job with our dog, Bruno! It was such a relief to know that he was having so much fun and being so well cared for while we were gone. We were afraid that he wouldn't want to come back home! She also sent the most amazing pics of him for us to enjoy! Thank you so much! Bruno can't wait to stay again!”

“Nichole is a wonderful sitter!! We boarded our white Golden Retriever, Kodiak with her while we were at Wanderlust Squaw and got wonderful photos back from her! It was like leaving your dog with a professional photographer. Some of the photos we got back we are framing:) She is a kind and patient sitter and you can tell she really LOVES dogs. She also has a white Golden Retriever ("English Cream") and the two pups got along famously! We'll be using her services again if we are up that way!!”

About: I’ve had cats of my own for years. This is the first time in 25 years I have not had my own cat. But I go to my brothers daily to visit his. I worked at the animal shelter and have experience with cats as well.
“As someone who is extremely particular about who I trust with my dogs, finding the right sitter felt like a daunting task. After coming across Leo's profile and seeing her glowing reviews, we decided to take a chance and schedule a meet and greet — and I'm so glad we did. From the moment Leo arrived, she put my mind completely at ease. She was professional, warm, and had an incredible way with my boys — they took to her almost instantly, which honestly said everything I needed to know. We went ahead and booked her, and she exceeded every expectation. She sent daily photo updates and kept me in the loop during each drop-in visit. Knowing my dogs were happy, safe, and well cared for made all the difference. I never once second-guessed my decision. We will absolutely be booking Leo again. If you're a pet parent who doesn't trust just anyone with your fur babies, look no further — Leo is the real deal!”

“Thanks so much for taking such good care of our kitty! I loved getting the pics you sent and your great communication! I felt so good once I saw the pic of him snuggling with you (you're obviously a cat person! 😸). For those considering a booking with Kaleigh, she followed all instructions and more! I wouldn't hesitate leaving Sully in her care again 😻”

About: I have experience taking care of my own cats and others since I was young. I am good with cats of all kinds and I find it incredibly important to respect their space and go at their pace. I've had great success with getting shy or aggressive cats to open up and become comfortable with me. I have never taken care of a hairless cat but I would love to meet one and learn the unique aspects of their care as well.
“This was my first time using Rover. What an awesome experience for both me and my senior cat. Angel was very kind, experienced and professional. She followed my instructions and did a great job. I will definately rebook with her in the future.”

“Aspen did an amazing job of caring for my pup while i was playing in Durango. She kept me up to date on how she was doing, and played her favorite thing…the garden hose. Thanks, Aspen!”

“Virginia is amazing, her property is wonderful and set up great for the dogs. Archer and Paisley got the chance to play in the rainy snow but she also let them warm up and nap in the heated garage. They both enjoyed their stay and we enjoyed not being worried about them while we were gone. Virginia is GREAT at communicating and we will be using her services again on future trips to Durango! 13/10 all the gold stars!!”

“Leonor was a great sitter and friend to our pup Willie for a couple of days while we were visiting Bloomfield. Willie came e back happy and tired from all the excitement and exercise he got. We would certainly use Leonor again if we were in the area, she was friendly and communicative and flexible with our schedule.”

“Becca was great! Will definitely be using her next time we are in town. Our dog was able to play with hers and relax outside throughout the day. He did not want to leave his new friend when we picked him up. Would 100% recommend!”

“We were so fortunate to find Jackson. My husband and I were interested in doing a tour that our 4 month old puppy could not go on. Jackson picked the puppy up at the RV park where we were staying that morning. We were able to enjoy our day and the puppy we picked up was worn out so Jackson spend time with him. He sent pics thru the day and they visited a park. A very good first experience with Rover thanks to Jackson.”

About: Working with pets is something I truly love. I grew up on a farm with countless cats, cows, pigs, and horses, where I think that love started. Under my care, you can trust that your pet will be safe and happy. At the moment, pet care is my main priority! I’d love to make a schedule where I can take your dog on long walks/hikes and cuddle, or give your kitty lots of love throughout the day! When I care for a pet, I take that responsibly very seriously. I follow instructions closely and give the cat and/or dog all the love and pets! I’m happy to provide as many updates and pictures that you’d like to give you peace of mind, as that’s what I would want as a pet owner myself!

“MaKaya, was excellent to work with. She was always responsive in communication. Her puppy and my old dog got along very well. My dog was very happy when I picked him up. I would highly recommend MaKaya!”

“Tatiana had the best time with Tarah! Great communication, she took her on lots of adventures and made sure everyone felt comfortable! Grateful Tati had so much fun while we were away!”

“Courtney is a wonderful dog sitter! She took great care of our dogs for a week and communicated with us each day and sent very cute photos. She was able to give our boys their prescribed medications without any issues. We will definitely book Courtney again!”

“Couldn't have had a better experience. William sent messages and photos to make sure I knew The Dude was not just in good hands, but relaxed and having fun. Knowing Dude was well taken care of made my trip so much sweeter. Great communication. Great care. Great experience.”

About: I’ve grown up and cared for with dogs my entire life. I’ve also fostered dogs in the past for multiple months at a time. I’m extremely responsive, careful, and comfortable with dogs of all size. Looking forward to helping with your pet needs! I’m currently WFH 5 days a week. My schedule is pretty flexible in terms of when I’m on and offline. My day typically follows a normal 9-5 working day. Depending on the pet, I definitely prioritize walks and getting time outside to get energy out. I’m okay with letting them roam around the apartment and will not have to be crated or blocked off from any parts. Of course, I follow the instructions given from the care giver if I will be at their home.
About: Hi! I'm Allie, and I'd love the opportunity to care for your pets while you're away. As a dog owner myself, I know how much our pets mean to us and how important it is to find someone you can trust. I treat every pet like they're part of the family and always strive to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I have my own dog, so I'm very familiar with the daily routines, exercise, patience, and attention that go into keeping pets happy and healthy. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playing fetch, belly rubs, or simply relaxing with company, I'm happy to provide the care they need. I'm dependable, communicative, and will keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I'm comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities, and I take the time to learn each pet's routine, preferences, and any special needs they may have. My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible—for both you and your pet. I can't wait to meet your furry family member and give them the love, attention, and care they deserve! During the week I work in an office downtown full time. I have a flexible work schedule if i need to make a lunch stop! Otherwise available before and after work and on the weekends! I make sure the home stays tidy and clean so pets don't get into anything they shouldn't. If i'm just taking them on walks, I make sure to know how they interact with other dogs and animals. Having a dog myself, it's ideal for me to watch your dog at my house that has a huge fenced in yard if your dog is friendly with other dogs. But i am flexible to stay at your place as well!
