“This is the second time I’ve booked with Maellen, she is my go-to when I need to board my dog. My dog is a very shy dog but has really come to trust Maellen and her husband. She loves their yard and all the walks! I look forward to booking Maellen in the future! She is amazing!”

“This is out second time going to Debbie. She is great. The dogs were very excited when we turned into her driveway. Definitely will go back to Debbie for future stays!”
“Josie, Peter & Paco treated my pup so well while I was out of town! They were super flexible and made my dog feel right at home- I’ve really never seen him so comfortable in someone else’s space! I got plenty of updates and my dog is tuckered out from all of his playtime. Definitely will be booking with them again next time we are out of town, so glad to have found them through Rover.”
“Mark is a dog lover. He is a kind and gentle man who took very good care of my dog while I was helping a friend move to ABQ from Wisconsin. He provided updates along the way and an honest assessment of my dogs behavior. I appreciate him very much and would gladly recommend him to others. Mark made me feel comfortable and provided the same level of care to my dog that I do. Thank you Mark. I will always appreciate what you have done for me.”

“Finley had a great time playing other pups. Holly is a great communicator and dog photographer! Glad I found a trusted dog sitter when coming to town.”

“Anne is so sweet, kind and thoughtful. She is so loving with all of the dogs, and her dedication to their comfort and safety is exemplary. Ty, Anne! Charlie had a blast!”

“I would definitely book again!! Lorenzo was communicative with me and provided updates/photos! Those updates gave me peace of mind while being away from my dog.”

“My biggest grudge is when someone expresses when they only gave one star " cuz they couldn't give any less"... When do we support local business and recognize our community for the good that surrounds us? !!! Recognize beauty people!!!!! This man is the real thing; a dog whisperer through and through. Incredibly kind, greeting my pup with a treat at first meet. Communication is HUGE for me. Pics were shared - almost immediately - and direct messages were alleviating. We all want to know our loved ones are in the best care. Michael is communicative, engaging with the guests, and truly, one of a kind. I'd book him immediately, if he doesn't forget my little girl...”

“Super awesome with my pup -received tons of updates! My flight got delayed and Cindy was super flexible in letting him stay an extra night. Would definitely book again!”

“Courtnay took great care of Tina over the weekend while I was in a conference. I loved getting all the pics and communications about how she was day to day. I Highly recommend Courtnay!”

“CK is awesome. She was so great with Bert! He had a great time hanging out with her and Coco. She is so accommodating and loving. We are looking forward to having her take care of Bert again soon. Highly recommended.”

“The best sitters! They are wonderful caregivers and provide awesome photos and reassurance for the families. Our canine family member will stay with them as much as circumstances permit.”

“Sofie was the best! From our first communications, to the met and greet, to the end of the stay, she was flexible and friendly. I had no reservations about leaving our dog with her. She sent pictures everyday with a little update that confirmed she knew our dogs habits. Would highly recommend her and will definitely use her again myself!”

“Wendy was great. She sent me pics of him, gave me updates of the situation, and asked if there was anything else she could do to keep Almond comfortable. Wendy let me know immediately that Almond started howling in the middle of the night. I wasn't sure what was going on since he never did that at home. My initial thought was he was missing me and home. And because of his age, I believe he got disoriented and lost and couldn't identify where he was at. Wendy did follow the instructions I left and asked if there was anything more she could do. I appreciate Wendy giving Almond the extra care he needed. Thanks again..”
“This was my first time leaving my two dogs overnight at a strangers house and I'm so glad it was with Marissa!! She both reassured the dogs, AND she also was reassuring to me - and that helped a lot. She sent me updates and photos and took really good care of my two dogs that were not at all used to staying somewhere other than my house. It felt to me like she got to know each dog personally, not just give them food and shelter for the night... I would certainly book with her again when the need arises!!”

“We continue to be pleased by Emily's services as she took care of our cats while away. She was communicative and punctual as usual. She will remain our top choice for drop-in care!”

“August did a wonderful job caring for our girls again! They got lots of love while we were gone, which makes it easier to travel knowing they are in good hands.”

“Tabatha is such a wonderful Pet sitter! We were gone for an extended weekend and Tabatha did an amazing job of caring for our cats, giving one of my cats meds twice a day, playing with them, and making sure they were safe and loved. I would highly recommend Tabatha to anyone:):)”

“Katie has been excellent. Going beyond the call of duty. We had the house broken into and Katie made sure both of our cats were well and also helped with reporting the incident to the police. Katie is personable, kind and takes her role very seriously. Highly recommended.”

“We loved having Christina watch over our three cats and fish. When she came over to do an initial meet and greet, our pets were immediately comfy in her presence so we knew she was the right sitter choice. During our trip, Christina sent daily photos of our kitties which helped us not to miss them so much. And then when we got home, cat boxes were spotless and the cats were very happy and healthy. They didn't even seem enraged that we'd left them like they ordinarily do. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Christina as a caring, trustworthy pet sitter for your beloved fur babies.”

“I’m a type A person with a lot of anxiety. I went on a trip and was dreading leaving my cats alone for the first time. Tawnia visited and did exactly what I asked her and she sent pictures of both my cats. I knew they were well taken care of. We returned home to 2 happy cats who had obviously been well taken care of. Would book with her again with no hesitation.”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong cat lover and a dedicated cat owner. Since becoming an adult, I’ve had the joy of caring for my own cat every day. Living with a cat has taught me to understand their unique personalities, respect their boundaries, and recognize the importance of creating a calm, stress-free environment. I have experience with daily feeding, litter box cleaning, playtime, grooming, and providing plenty of love and attention while respecting each cat’s individual comfort level. I understand that every cat has different routines and preferences, and I’m happy to follow your instructions carefully to help them feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. My husband is a retired U.S. Air Force veteran, and together we have a stable, loving, and pet-friendly home. We know how much trust it takes to leave your beloved cat with someone else, and we take that responsibility seriously. I’ll provide regular photo and video updates, so you can relax knowing your cat is receiving attentive, compassionate care. My goal is to make your cat feel as comfortable and loved as they do at home.
About: I've taken care of cats and dogs since 5 years old. Grooming, walking, cleaning up after them and loving them. I have added birds, ferrets, and turtles to my pets in my adulthood. I foster neonatal kittens. I have trained many dogs and have shown them in obedience. I have had elderly dogs and cats and have helped them through their needs in old age. I love to throw the ball for your dog, play with cats or just sit and pet them, make sure they have their food on time and always have water. I can walk you dog around the block or for 5 miles. I am very experienced in reactive dogs and walking them. I have had large and small dogs. My last two dogs were Dobermans. I will be reliable and follow your instructions. I am a retired Occupational Therapist and have recently lost my sweet friend and companion, my dog Scarlet. I have time now to help others out who need someone to provide love and care to their pet. I am looking to care for your pet in your home. I may, be able to take a cat or dog into my home sometimes, but I have chickens in my backyard so it is not available. At your home I can stay overnight if necessary or just come and care for your pet in the comfort they are used to. I am reliable and trustworthy and will give all the love and care your pet needs and wants.
“Heaven did a great job taking care of my two cats! She did everything I asked of her and more. She was very gentle and interactive with them thus they liked her and they are very selective about who they’ll interact with. I would definitely request her again and highly recommend!”

“Leah was fantastic! Super communicative and responsive, incredibly sweet to our two cats and accommodating of their needs, and provided us with daily updates, photos & videos which was so lovely while we were away. She even vacuumed around the little boxes before we got home, which was above Ana beyond. We’d absolutely rebook with Leah again.”

“Jessica was amazing! Every visit she spent quite a bit of time with Archer and sent 1-2 pictures each day, sometimes showing him eating and sometimes showing him getting cuddles. They clearly got along well, and he seemed happy and healthy when we returned. Jessica is quick to respond to texts, and even checked in with us on the last day to make sure we'd get back on time and Archer would be okay.”

“they were so thorough and thoughtful. it was my first experience with rover, so i was a bit nervous about leaving my cat alone. they sent me updates and photos each check in. totally recommend.”

About: My love for animals started long ago, and cats have always held a special place in my heart. I genuinely relate to them — their quiet intelligence, their independence, their softness, their quirks. Honestly, I’ve always felt like I understand cats on a level that comes more naturally to me than most human interactions. Cats thrive when someone respects their boundaries, reads their subtle cues, and honors their routines. That’s exactly how I care for them. I pay attention to the details: the way they flick their tail when they’re curious, the slow blink that says they trust you, the little habits that make them feel safe and seen. When I care for your cat, they’re not just being looked after — they’re being understood. I create a calm, predictable environment where they can explore, nap, play, and feel completely at ease. If you’re looking for someone who truly gets cats — someone who sees your feline friend as a whole personality, not just a pet — I would love to care for your best friend. Dogs-Dogs love me because I meet them exactly where they are. I move slowly for the shy ones, celebrate the goofy ones, and give the anxious ones a calm place to breathe. I pay attention to their signals—the soft tail wag, the hopeful glance, the little lean that says “I trust you.” I speak their language with patience, consistency, and kindness. They know I’m safe. They know I listen. They know I care. And in return, they give me their whole hearts—one wag, one nuzzle, one happy trot at a time. I have a widely-varied flexible schedule and would have plenty of time to care for your cat or dog as needed. Pet care blends seamlessly into my daily and weekly rhythm because I already live a life built around consistency, calm energy, and being home throughout the day. Between running my home bakery and keeping a steady household routine, I’m present — really present — which means animals get attention, companionship, and structure instead of rushed check‑ins. Caring for a pet in their own home is all about honoring their comfort zone. I step into their space gently, keeping everything familiar — their routines, their favorite spots, their feeding schedule, and the little habits that make them feel secure. I move slowly, respectfully, and with the kind of calm energy animals naturally respond to. I follow your instructions closely, from feeding and medication to preferred walking routes or playtime rituals. I pay attention to the details: how they greet me, how they settle, what makes them curious, and what helps them relax. I keep their environment tidy, their water fresh, and their day predictable. While I’m there, your pet gets companionship, structure, and genuine affection — not rushed check‑ins. I stay present, tuned in, and mindful of their emotional needs. Whether it’s a cat who prefers quiet company or a dog who thrives on routine and reassurance, I adapt to their personality and pace. Your home stays just as you left it, and your pet stays in the place where they feel safest. My goal is simple: to make sure your best friend feels understood, cared for, and completely at ease until you return.
“Hossanna did wonderful as always (: They always give our cats great cuddles and lots of love! We didn’t even have to worry about our girls during our very busy wedding weekend because Hossanna takes such great care of them!”
About: I have grown up with animals all my life. I had 2 dogs and 2 cats growing up and I currently have a German Shepard, Weiner dog, and 2 flat faced cats. I also have experience taking care of fish and reptiles. I just moved to ABQ from Atlanta. I love animals and would love to continue taking care of them out here. I am free for drop in visits or house sitting. I would be able to drop by your house, feed the dogs and take them out to play and use the restroom. As for my own dogs, I train them myself with no shock collar or crate.

“Celeste was warm, friendly, and kind with Oreo, who is still getting used to doggy daycare. She made sure Oreo felt comfortable. Her dog Murphy was as gentle and welcoming, which really helped Oreo adjust. I’m super grateful for the care and looking forward to having Oreo stay with Celeste and Murphy again. Thank you!”

“Michael was very helpful and accommodating. I believe he did his best with Rocco to keep him occupied. Rocco has separation anxiety, but Michael made the efforts to gain his trust in a limited timeframe. We were very appreciative with his services!”

About: I am retired and a animal lover with experience caring for puppies, seniors, rescues, and giant breeds. Reliable, patient care in a safe, pet-friendly environment. I am currently retired from government work and a non profit career. I retired very young and I am very active, loving nature and walking. I have two very large dog runs with dog houses in each. My pets are both indoors at night and in their dog run daily.
“Josie, her husband, and Paco took great care of my Pip while we were vacationing in ABQ. Having Pip go over to her house allowed us to get some hikes, bike rides, and brunches in without having to worry is our young, energetic dog was being destructive or bored at the Airbnb. Highly recommend, and will definitely request Josie again when we return.”

“Cindy was great with my 2 year old baby. I sent Sandia for my 12 hour shifts and Cindy was flexible with pick up and drop off times. I got lots of picture updates. Sandia loved playing in the backyard with Cindy’s other dogs. She was so at ease during drop-offs, giving me peace of mind that she felt safe in Cindy’s home. Thanks again :)”

“Lauren was great. She greeted us on arrival and introduced her dog to ours. She kept us updated during the day by sending us photos of how our pup was doing. We would definitely use Lauren again when visiting Albuquerque.”

“Jason is great! My pups love going to his house for daycare. They are older and its always hard to find a place where they are comfortable like they are at home, but they are always excited whenever I drop them off!”

About: I have lived with at least 2 dogs in my household for the past 20 years. Providing them with the opportunities to live fulfilling and healthy lives has been my priority. Although I am their caregiver, I consider them also to be my teachers. Learning how to communicate with them is the best way to ensure they are happy and calm, and that they feel safe. I am currently retired and spend quite a bit of time at the dog park. My dog and I are mostly inseparable. I take him with me to run errands when I can. It isn't always practical and so he minds the house when I am away. Barney is my only companion, and, even though I'm kind of a loner, Barney is NOT. He is extremely friendly and social and craves the company of other dog;, that factors into my decision to care for other dogs in my home. Barney will help me keep your dog comfortable and happy while in our care. We have a fenced back yard (4 foot). The surrounding properties have no dogs at this time. If your dog can jump a 4 foot fence, this may not be the safest home for him or her.
“Mabel was very happy to be left with Onrae for a few hours, which isn't always the case with sitters. But dogs are a good judge of character, right? All went well and Onrae was an excellent communicator. We wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, I cared for all kinds of animals, from dogs and cats to goats and chickens. Today, I share my home with three dogs and three cats, so I understand firsthand how important it is to find a pet sitter you can trust. Since I can work from almost anywhere with my laptop, I have the flexibility to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, feeding schedules, and check-ins as needed. I am typically available in the afternoons and evenings for longer walks, playtime, and one-on-one attention. As a pet owner myself, I understand the importance of maintaining a pet’s routine and ensuring they receive the care, exercise, and companionship they need while you’re away. When caring for pets in a clients home, my top priorities are safety, consistency, and making sure pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment. I take the time to learn each pets routine, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, medication, and any special instructions provided by the owner. I treat every home with the same respect I would expect for my own. During visits, I ensure pets have fresh water, receive plenty of attention and affection, and that doors, gates, and other potential hazards are secure before I leave. As a pet owner myself, I understand that trust is incredibly important, and I strive to provide dependable, attentive care for every pet I meet.

“Joshua is great. He's a natural with dogs, and it's obvious he loves them! I HIGHLY recommend Joshua and his home for extended boarding. He has a very large yard for play, and the dogs love it! I travel a lot, and I will be using Joshua every time. My puppy, Mocha, made a new friend with Joshua's dog, Blitzen. Immediately, they became friends and were inseparable for seven days. Thank you, Joshua!!! My wife and I are very grateful for the care you gave Mocha!!!”

“We had to choose a different dog sitter right before our trip and Doug was available short notice. He took good care of Cody and we would definitely recommend him!”

“We just moved to the area, and needed a new rover sitter for a couple day trip. We made a couple changes to the itinerary as we went, and Esperita was incredibly accommodating. It is overwhelmingly apparent to us that Espirta cares for the animals we trust her with immensely, and we would not hesitate to use her again.”

“Jessie is great with animals and took very good care of Dally. She was very patient and responded kindly when Dally tried to out-smart her and caused trouble. Highly recommend!”

“We couldn't have asked for a better experience with Mary and her wonderful family. From the moment I met them, I knew Tula was in kind, capable hands. Mary has a loving home filled with children, cats, and dogs, and Tula settled in as if she had always belonged there. It was clear she was treated as part of the family, receiving plenty of attention, affection, and excellent care. Knowing Tula was happy, safe, and well-loved gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We are so grateful to Mary and her family for welcoming her into their home, and we would not hesitate to trust them with Tula again. We highly recommend Mary to anyone looking for exceptional, loving care for their pet.”

“Another successful stay with Cecilia and Dan! This time, when I was getting Buddy’s things together to go over there, I told him he was going to see them, and he got super-excited and ran to the door repeatedly! He even jumped in the car before it was time for us to head over there! Pretty safe to say that Buddy loves being with them, and that makes us happy!”
