She was traumatized as a kitten and although she has bonded with me, she is not too keen on having anyone else pet her. Brigit was not put off by this and was flexible when I had to make a small change to my travel plans. I'll invite her back the next time I need to leave town. About: I’ve had cats since I was 7 years old and currently have four of my own, so I’ve spent most of my life learning just how different every cat can be! I have experience with kittens and adult cats, and I’m also happy to care for senior cats. I understand that every cat has their own personality and quirks. Some want all the cuddles and attention they can get, while others would rather have their space and come to you when they’re ready. I’m comfortable with shy or nervous cats and know not to force interaction, especially if a cat is showing signs that they want to be left alone. About: I mostly have experience with medium to larger dogs. I love going on walks so I will take pets along for the journey. I grew up with bulldogs and I’ve personally owned German Shepards and Huskies. I am currently in between jobs and preparing for a certification test for signed language interpreting. I also love puppies and understand the patience and consistency they need. I’m happy to walk more than one dog at a time, and I have experience with leash-reactive dogs — I know how to keep walks calm, controlled, and low-stress for a dog who needs a little extra management. Right now I share my home with two girls — a 15-year-old Chihuahua mix and a 2-year-old Cairn Terrier — so both ends of the age spectrum are part of my daily routine. Pet care tends to fit into my daily routine as feeding my dog is a chore I do around the house when she needs to be fed. I care for pets with all my love and compassion. “I was so glad to have had Melissa and her sweet family watch Olivia. She was so reassuring and made me feel like I didn't have anything to worry about, and I didn't at all. Daily updates and pictures of my pup. When we met she answered any of my questions and gave me great info on just what Olivia would be doing, where she'd be sleeping, etc. It was so great to be able to leave Olivia with a family instead of a kennel. So friendly and reliable, I'll definitely be going back.”

All 3 of my dogs have some type of health issue that requires daily medication, they’re on an annoyingly specific diet because my geriatric dog needs the extra inventive to eat regularly, and although they’re sweet they’re a bit wild. They love him and are always happily tired when it’s time to go home. He also always has their supplies packed and ready for me when I get back to pick them up. 10/10!”
