About: I mostly have experience with medium to larger dogs. I love going on walks so I will take pets along for the journey. I grew up with bulldogs and I’ve personally owned German Shepards and Huskies. I am currently in between jobs and preparing for a certification test for signed language interpreting. I have plenty of free time for pets and love to get out and about like going for walks, hikes and enjoying the sun. I have a private small patio with many dogs parks in my apartment complex. About: I have had animals my whole life, and have worked in the pet industry for 6 years. My day job experience has been at 2 different local pet food stores, where I’ve learned a lot about the needs of dogs and cats, as well as body language. About: I have had cats and dogs around since I was a child. I have been boarding for almost 2 years, and walking/doing check-ins for nearly 8 years. I started out doing walks to help fill my want for pets. But now that I have two of my own, I realized this is something I really love doing and it is always a joy to meet other peoples' fur babies. In my home, I do have one other dog who LOVES to play and gets along with every animal and human he meets. I have a scaredy cat, and a handful of kiddos who I have taught animal etiquette to since they were all babies. We have cared for the smallest dogs to the largest. We have had older dogs, puppies, dogs recovering from surgery, and females in heat (although not at the moment until our puppy is fixed). We love your babies like they are our own, and love to be able to take them with us if we ever go on any adventures while they are here (of course, with permission!) I am a stay at home mom, so I am home the majority of the day to care for any animals in my home. My kids are AMAZING with animals, as I have taught lots of animal etiquette over the years caring for animals -- and now that we have our own fur babies too. In my home, we just treat your fur babies like one of our own. We give them lots of attention, play time, walk time, etc. I also incorporate your schedules with ours (ie feeding, etc). If there are any special requests, I fulfill those needs. About: I’ve always had a variety of pets in my house. Growing up my family cared for dogs, turtles, fish, hamsters, frogs, hermit crabs, and chickens. We never owned a cat because my mom is allergic to them but since I moved in with my auntie during university, I have lived with one and have loved it! With my grandma, we currently have 6 dogs! We had two (a chihuahua mixed with poodle and another mixed dog) who are the parents of the other four. “Maellen is the warmest, caring, and most attentive dog sitter we've ever had. She sent us daily updates with pictures and was very responsive anytime we had a question. We could tell our Toby was happy, safe and comfortable in Maellen's home. Not once did we worry about Toby's well being, safety or comfort and we were able to enjoy our time out of town. Toby got his daily walks, plenty of time with Maellen and we could tell that she took great care of Toby. We are looking forward to having Maellen watch Toby again. In fact, we have confirmed another booking with Maellen later in the year.”

“Joshua is great. He's a natural with dogs, and it's obvious he loves them! I HIGHLY recommend Joshua and his home for extended boarding. He has a very large yard for play, and the dogs love it! I travel a lot, and I will be using Joshua every time. My puppy, Mocha, made a new friend with Joshua's dog, Blitzen. Immediately, they became friends and were inseparable for seven days. My dog is very scared of pretty much everything, especially people she doesn’t know, so I was extremely nervous about leaving her with someone for the first time. To my surprise, she felt comfortable with Kevin right away, which gave me so much peace of mind. Kevin was fantastic at keeping me updated and would check in regularly without me even having to ask. It was clear that he genuinely cared about my dog and wanted to make sure both of us felt comfortable throughout the entire stay. About: I had a lot of cats and dogs growing up, and I was the neighborhood dog sitter basically from the time I could ride a bike until I left for college. I know for many people today their pets are a furry part of the family, so I would treat them with the same love and care I give my cats and dobies, and make sure your animals are genuinely cared for while you are away. I know what it means to be a good and responsible sitter, and I can guarantee if you trust me with your pets you will not regret it! I'm offering drop-in sitting and dog walking, and I cannot wait to have the opportunity to meet your pets. I work full time, but am available outside of standard working hours to spend plenty of time with your pups! I have pets of my own so I know how important it is to spend time with them & make sure they are happy while you are away. When caring for pets, I always make sure to guarantee they have a comfortable and clean environment as well as plenty of play time (for their benefit & because I just love dogs!)

Leigh had great reviews and repeat customers. She was willing to have my pup in her home, along with her dog and cat. Everything went very well.
