About: I have lived with at least 2 dogs in my household for the past 20 years. Providing them with the opportunities to live fulfilling and healthy lives has been my priority. Although I am their caregiver, I consider them also to be my teachers. Learning how to communicate with them is the best way to ensure they are happy and calm, and that they feel safe. I am currently retired and spend quite a bit of time at the dog park. My dog and I are mostly inseparable. I take him with me to run errands when I can. It isn't always practical and so he minds the house when I am away. Barney is my only companion, and, even though I'm kind of a loner, Barney is NOT. He is extremely friendly and social and craves the company of other dog;, that factors into my decision to care for other dogs in my home. Barney will help me keep your dog comfortable and happy while in our care. We have a fenced back yard (4 foot). The surrounding properties have no dogs at this time. If your dog can jump a 4 foot fence, this may not be the safest home for him or her.

“Brigit stayed with my cat, Minnie Muusah, for one night this week and everything seemed to go very well. Minnie is not exactly a social cat. She was traumatized as a kitten and although she has bonded with me, she is not too keen on having anyone else pet her. Brigit was not put off by this and was flexible when I had to make a small change to my travel plans. I'll invite her back the next time I need to leave town. About: Before college, I was the primary caregiver for my family’s dog, Max—handling everything from daily walks and feeding to bathing, training, and playtime tailored to his pace and personality. About: Hey there I'm Cindy, I've raised and trained show dogs and household pets since 1995. I even built my life around staying home for the dogs. I have also been a source of care for neighbors, friends and Airbnb guests. I have a fenced yard with an additional dog run, grass, smooth pebble and even sand. Plenty of trees for shade and a covered patio. The dogs will have indoor/outdoor access and crates for eating and time out. I look forward to helping you and your fur babies. My day job experience has been managing 2 different local pet food stores, where I’ve learned a lot about the needs of dogs and cats, and their body language. About: A little about me: I’ve had a dog by my side every day since I was six years old — dogs are an integral part of my life, not just something I do on the side. Over the years I’ve cared for dogs of every size, age, and temperament, from tiny lap dogs to a 90-pound Labrador, and from bouncy puppies to dogs in their older years. Experience: My deepest experience is with senior and special-needs dogs. My Labrador had a series of health challenges, including three separate leg surgeries. I nursed him through every recovery, which meant walking him with a support sling until he was back on his feet. When he was later diagnosed with cancer, I cared for him through hospice at home — giving his daily medications and keeping him comfortable and loved right to the end. So if your older dog needs medication, a little mobility help, or just extra patience and gentleness, that’s something I genuinely know how to do. I’m just as comfortable with high-energy dogs. That same Labrador was a handful in his younger years, so I know what it takes to keep a strong, active dog happy and well-exercised. I also love puppies and understand the patience and consistency they need. I’m happy to walk more than one dog at a time, and I have experience with leash-reactive dogs — I know how to keep walks calm, controlled, and low-stress for a dog who needs a little extra management. Right now I share my home with two girls — a 15-year-old Chihuahua mix and a 2-year-old Cairn Terrier — so both ends of the age spectrum are part of my daily routine. Availability: I work from home and set my own hours, so I’m around for your dog far more than the average sitter — and I can be flexible to fit your schedule. Pet care is the center of my day, not an afterthought, which means real time and attention whether it’s a midday walk, an unhurried drop-in, or being present in your home throughout the day on an overnight stay. The only exception is the occasional family commitment, which I always know about well in advance, so I can be upfront about my availability every single time. Peace of mind: Your dog’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I’m always happy to send photo and video updates so you can see your pup having a good time, and I’ll check in as often as you’d like while you’re away. And should anything ever go wrong, I’m able to drive your dog to the vet in an emergency — so you can travel with real peace of mind. Pet care is the center of my daily routine. I work from home, my schedule is very open and flexible, so I can build my day around your dog's needs rather than squeezing them in. The only exception is the occasional family commitment I schedule around, and because those are always planned well in advance, I'll always know my availability far ahead of time and can be upfront with you about it. To give you a sense of how I run a day: my own dogs eat at 8am and 6pm, get a 20–40 minute walk in the evening, and I stay attentive throughout the day to when they need to go out. My younger dog gets dedicated playtime with her toys, and my senior girl gets her medication right on schedule every other day. I keep that same consistency and attention for any dog in my care — sticking to your dog's normal feeding, walking, medication, and potty routine so their world stays steady while you're away. When I care for your dog in your home, safety comes first. I keep all doors and gates closed and latched, and I'm constantly aware of where your dog is — especially any time I'm heading in or out, so there's no chance of an escape. I follow whatever house rules and routines you set. I also treat your home with the same respect I give my own. When I dog-sat for family and friends, I kept their house tidy, watered their plants, and brought in mail while they were away. I will leave your home just as you left it, keep you updated with photos while you're gone, and communicate quickly about anything that comes up. My goal is for you to come home to a happy, well-cared-for dog and a house in good order.

About: I have had cats most of my life, about 25 years, and I know that they are the bosses. They may have a reputation for being loners but most of the time they like attention, just on their own terms. I come up with clever games to get their wiggles out and treat each cat the way they like to be treated. Each cat has a different personality and that is very important to understand. I also take great photos and will gladly take oodles of super cute portraits of your furry baby so you see that they are doing well while you are away. Your cats will be well fed, with clean litter boxes and lots of purrs when you get home.
