About: Before college, I was the primary caregiver for my family’s dog, Max—handling everything from daily walks and feeding to bathing, training, and playtime tailored to his pace and personality. That hands-on experience taught me how to read a dog’s needs and build trust through consistency and care. I’ve also cared for multiple pets through prior sitting experiences, including three dogs of different sizes and three cats, so I’m comfortable adapting to a variety of temperaments, routines, and energy levels. While in college, I’ve continued growing my experience by volunteering with a local shelter’s Doggy Day Out program, taking dogs on walks, hikes, and special outings to give them enrichment and a break from the shelter environment. These experiences have strengthened my ability to care for pets with patience, attentiveness, and genuine enthusiasm. I am currently a student at UNM and working part time, so my evenings are relatively free during the week. I have cared for dogs of others, both in my home and as a house sitter. (I will housesit for cats but cannot have them in my home due to family member allergy). About: I’ve taken care of friends and neighbors animals all throughout college so I have lots of experience! I’m very nurturing and kind and I even have my own kitty that is very friendly. I have a flexible work schedule so I’m work from home most days. I love to go to the gym and go on walks. I am a home body so on the weekends I like to cook and prepare for the week. A typical day with your animal looks like playtime in the morning and a walk in the evening! If it’s a cat I make sure to play throughout the day and especially at night so they and I sleep well! About: I have had cats and dogs around since I was a child. I have been boarding for almost 2 years, and walking/doing check-ins for nearly 8 years. I started out doing walks to help fill my want for pets. But now that I have two of my own, I realized this is something I really love doing and it is always a joy to meet other peoples' fur babies. In my home, I do have one other dog who LOVES to play and gets along with every animal and human he meets. I have a scaredy cat, and a handful of kiddos who I have taught animal etiquette to since they were all babies. We have cared for the smallest dogs to the largest. We have had older dogs, puppies, dogs recovering from surgery, and females in heat (although not at the moment until our puppy is fixed). We love your babies like they are our own, and love to be able to take them with us if we ever go on any adventures while they are here (of course, with permission!) I am a stay at home mom, so I am home the majority of the day to care for any animals in my home. My kids are AMAZING with animals, as I have taught lots of animal etiquette over the years caring for animals -- and now that we have our own fur babies too. In my home, we just treat your fur babies like one of our own. We give them lots of attention, play time, walk time, etc. I also incorporate your schedules with ours (ie feeding, etc). If there are any special requests, I fulfill those needs. When I go to a clients home, I respect everything around me and be as gentle and careful as to make sure that the fur babies are comfortable with me in their home.
About: I have had dogs since I was 5 years old and have watched pets for friends and family since I was a teen. Currently have two doggos. One 2 years old and one 9 years old. I have taken care of puppies, having house trained multiple dogs and have cared for senior dogs I work from home with a very flexible schedule on weekdays. If your pup is staying with me they will gets walk and be able to go out for many bathroom breaks throughout the day. Since I work from home you dogs will never been left alone at any point. About: I've had large dogs since I was born and when I was young I remember going outside and feeding them with my mom and giving them treats. Now I have two small dogs I've had for 10 years that I trained myself, they know pretty much every basic command plus some that are more advanced. I occasionally watch my neighbors dog and helped train him when they were ill-equipped to do so. I am available all day on Saturday and Sunday. On Wednesday I have class from 10am-10:50am and 4:15pm-5:00pm so I am available between those times or after 5pm. I am available all day Friday after 1pm. On Tuesday and Thursday, I have class from 9:30am-10:45am and 2:00pm-3:15pm so I am available between those times and the rest of the day after 3:15pm. On Monday I have class from 10am-10:50am, 2pm-2:50pm, and 6:20pm-9:30pm so I am available between those times. this will update every semester. I only provide care in my client’s home so pets can stay comfortable in their normal environment and routine. I follow your instructions closely—feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any specific habits your dog has. I make sure dogs get plenty of attention, exercise, and supervision while keeping their routine as consistent as possible. That includes regular walks, playtime, and bathroom breaks. While staying in your home, I treat it with respect—keeping things clean, bringing in mail/packages, and making sure everything is secure. I’m reliable with timing and always show up when expected. “Michael watched our fur baby for 13 days. She is approx. 14 yrs old, and we were worried about leaving her for such a long period of time. Michael's calm and easy demeanor was reassurance that she would be fine. She does not get along with other animals and as the only pet Michael watched he was able to provide her with individual attention. He sent photos daily, which we greatly appreciated. “She loved my dog like he was family. I was hospitalized for 44 days and she sent updates with texts and pictures. I was even able to set up zoom meeting to see my dog at one point in my recovery. Alexandria is so kind and even let me hug her and thank her for being like family to myself and my dog when I picked him up on day 44. I could go on all day about how wonderful she, her husband, and her kids were to my dog. I am so happy that I knew he was in good hands while I was away for such a long period of time.
