About: I have had animals my whole life, and have worked in the pet industry for 6 years. My day job experience has been at 2 different local pet food stores, where I’ve learned a lot about the needs of dogs and cats, as well as body language. My old job had foster cats, so I have experience taking care of up to 10 cats at a time (feeding, litter cleaning, meds, and playtime). I also have pet sat for many of my friends and family members. About: A little about me: I’ve had a dog by my side every day since I was six years old — dogs are an integral part of my life, not just something I do on the side. Over the years I’ve cared for dogs of every size, age, and temperament, from tiny lap dogs to a 90-pound Labrador, and from bouncy puppies to dogs in their older years. Experience: My deepest experience is with senior and special-needs dogs. My Labrador had a series of health challenges, including three separate leg surgeries. I nursed him through every recovery, which meant walking him with a support sling until he was back on his feet. When he was later diagnosed with cancer, I cared for him through hospice at home — giving his daily medications and keeping him comfortable and loved right to the end. So if your older dog needs medication, a little mobility help, or just extra patience and gentleness, that’s something I genuinely know how to do. I’m just as comfortable with high-energy dogs. That same Labrador was a handful in his younger years, so I know what it takes to keep a strong, active dog happy and well-exercised. I also love puppies and understand the patience and consistency they need. I’m happy to walk more than one dog at a time, and I have experience with leash-reactive dogs — I know how to keep walks calm, controlled, and low-stress for a dog who needs a little extra management. Right now I share my home with two girls — a 15-year-old Chihuahua mix and a 2-year-old Cairn Terrier — so both ends of the age spectrum are part of my daily routine. Before them I’ve cared for several terriers and a Border Collie mix, among others. I walk my own dogs every single day and I’ll keep yours on a good routine too. I’ve also dog-sat for family and friends who were thrilled with the care I provided — beyond looking after their dogs, I kept their homes tidy, watered plants, and brought in mail, treating each home with the same respect I’d give my own. To give you a sense of how I run a day: my own dogs eat at 8am and 6pm, get a 20–40 minute walk in the evening, and I stay attentive throughout the day to when they need to go out. My younger dog gets dedicated playtime with her toys, and my senior girl gets her medication right on schedule every other day. I keep that same consistency and attention for any dog in my care — sticking to your dog's normal feeding, walking, medication, and potty routine so their world stays steady while you're away. When I care for your dog in your home, safety comes first. I keep all doors and gates closed and latched, and I'm constantly aware of where your dog is — especially any time I'm heading in or out, so there's no chance of an escape. I follow whatever house rules and routines you set. I also treat your home with the same respect I give my own. When I dog-sat for family and friends, I kept their house tidy, watered their plants, and brought in mail while they were away. I will leave your home just as you left it, keep you updated with photos while you're gone, and communicate quickly about anything that comes up. My goal is for you to come home to a happy, well-cared-for dog and a house in good order.
About: I grew up around dogs ages 1-13 and have spent 3 years taking care of other dogs. I'm experienced in providing medication, cleaning up after them, and preparing food. I'm always ready to hear what your dog needs! I am a current student at UNM, and I have a part-time job. About: Mostly I’ve taken care of dogs and cats, including seniors, pups and kittens. I am sensitive to and will want to get them care if an emergency arises. I love to love them all. Presently I am flexible to meet pet parent needs. I do need 1 day notice for planning 🙂 and ensuring I am prepared for your pets. Presently I am able to provides services at your home only ( except for very young puppies and kittens who can stay with me if needed) -in your home I’m most familiar with cats and dogs. I am glad to keep your pets environment fresh during visits including waste clean up, hair brush or deshedding with your tools, refresh food, water bowls as needed. I will have non-toxic cleaners for hard surfaces if needed.
