“I adopted my dog Nomi at the end of 2025 and knew I had a lot of rehabilitation ahead of us since she is highly fearful and skittish. Nomi came from a hoarding house in Puerto Rico where 100 animals were removed from the property. I learned about Carly during a search on Rover and was pleasantly surprised when I discovered we both love mixed breed dogs from PR. Today was the first day since Nomi's adoption that she stayed with anyone other than myself. Amber and her family came through for me for a last-minute, same-day holiday (4th of July) booking, and they were great from start to finish! Very friendly, helpful, responsive, and flexible and seemed to attend well to my Sienna -- following my various tips and even going lengths to ensure, with her being an older dog, that she wouldn't be out in the heat during walks for too long and was protected by the outside fireworks that first night! Amber also shared some text and picture updates throughout the stay, and her and her husband for were very reassuring both during drop-off and pickup regarding Sienna's care. They were so great that I ended up extending the sit to an extra day, originally scheduled for just one, and they were very accommodating in my doing so. About: My family had many pets growing up so I have been around animals all my life. Over the past few years, I have cared for many animals with different personalities and different needs. I have experience administering pills and injecting insulin for cats. I also have experience crate training and potty training dogs. “My hubby is working in the area. I flew in from GA to visit him, so that we could drive to Canada to celebrate our 10th anniversary. He travels with our dog and we needed a safe home away from home while we travel. Ivelisse was great with our fur baby! Love had just been diagnosed with a UTI and she was very attentive, even giving us helpful recommendations on how to prevent further ones. She sent regular updates and we could tell that Love enjoyed the stay as well. We are thankful that Ivelisse was able to accommodate us on such short notice. Thanks for treating our dog like family! “Lauren was wonderful! My Oliver was a very recent rescue and is an extremely anxious dog. When I had to leave him for three nights for a work trip after I’d only had him for a few weeks, I was really worried about how he would do. Happily, all of my worrying was for nothing—he did great! Lauren was very patient with him, and he immediately felt comfortable with her. She understood his need for a calm environment and gave him exactly what he needed. She also sent numerous photos/updates, understanding my concern about having to leave him. I’ll definitely book her again the next time I need to go away.”
