About: We own two large dogs- an Australian cattle dog/Anatolian shepherd/Hound mix, and a yellow Labrador retriever. They are very high energy and unique with lively personalities. We love to take them on bicycle rides/walks through the woods and neighborhood. We both have experience with dogs- John dog-sat as a child and has had family dogs as well, and I grew up on a farm with 10-15 inside/outside dogs all my life as well as many other animals. We have a big back yard that is fenced in, we also live next to a big state park that is loads of fun for any animal! Our entire family and our friends also have dogs, so when we all get together we usually have about 12-14 dogs all together at once running around playing and having fun! While having my own dog for 10+ years, I’ve spent plenty of time taking care of family, friends, and neighbors pets when they were away from home. He also ensured us that he only books one overnight stay at a time to avoid any conflicts in schedule and make sure our dog has company throughout the night and to keep her safe in the event of an emergency. “Melissa and Dan were absolutely wonderful with my dog, Princess Leia. She’s a small terrier and very much a COVID puppy, so she hasn’t had a lot of exposure to other dogs. I was a bit nervous about leaving her while I went out of town for my 50th high school reunion, but Melissa and Dan put me at ease right away. From the start, my plan was to have Leia stay with them for two nights, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. They have a lovely fenced yard and several dogs of their own, which created the perfect environment for Leia to safely and gradually get used to being around other dogs. Dan works from home, so I knew she was getting plenty of attention and supervision throughout the day. They kept me updated with several photos and messages showing how Leia was doing, which I really appreciated. It was clear that she was settling in well and getting comfortable in their home and with their dogs. When I picked her up, she was happy, relaxed, and seemed to have genuinely enjoyed her little “vacation.” I highly recommend Melissa and Dan for dog sitting. They truly love dogs, understand dog behavior, and provide a safe, caring, and engaging environment. I would not hesitate to book with them again.”

“Hendry is the most trustworthy Dogsitter we’ve had.we left our furbaby Kovu with him while on vacation for 2 and a half weeks.Our Kovu is so used to him and his family now and I know Kovu will always have a great time when he’s with Hendry and he also gets along well with Hendry’s cute dogs Nova and Miley.I always get beautiful pictures and videos while on vacation and I’m sure Hendry takes care of Kovu like his own.
