“A day before I was due to leave for a weekend trip to NY I found myself still struggling to figure out arrangements for my 5-year-old chipoo, Dixie. I've never left her overnight with anyone before - only for a few hours here and there with family members. Dixie and I both suffer from separation anxiety (from one another haha) and I began searching online not thinking that I would ever find someone good enough to watch my little girl. When I came across Anita and Kirk, I knew instantly that they shared the same love for dogs as I. Dixie and I went to visit and check things out early the next morning and what amazed me most about Kirk and Anita was their attention and dedication to each animal and their specific needs. My specific need was that my little girl would be able to sleep in bed just as she does at home. Whatever your dog is used to at home, they will replicate it! From the pictures and videos that I received for the two days that I was away, I was able to tell that my baby was being spoiled on the Furry Farm just as much as she is at home. They made sure Dixie was comfortable and they reassured me that she was safe and well taken care of. They are definitely one of a kind and I doubt that I'd ever be able to find that level of treatment, care, attention, and affection with anyone else. I would recommend them over and over again and will certainly be using their services again when needed. About: I’ve taken care of dogs pretty much my entire life. I can’t help but love on dogs. They have so much to offer and live so deeply. I work full time during the week. Once I’m home and on weekends I am all about loving on my own Willow! We love to play and go for walks as much as possible. Usually by bedtime we are both exhausted. I do not have a fenced yard but we live in a quiet development. Since we are in the back it is safe. Dogs can have free roam of the house if they are potty trained. We do have small area sectioned off for our own pup that we can use if not potty trained. Our own pup is crated trained and in her crate when we aren’t there as well as at night. We prefer the same.

I also love dogs and have experience with farm animals, too. I can help with feedings, waste clean-up, walking, play time, brushing, and whatever else you may need. We are lucky enough to have a very spacious fenced in yard where your babies can play and stay safe. Unfortunately, I am currently not taking any bigger breeds at the moment. This will not be a forever thing, it's just what works for our family right now. Thank you for understanding! Sadly, we lost our family dog not too long ago, but we have a hairless cat who is the most patient, lover girl you’d ever meet. Drop offs and pick-ups can be anywhere between 8am to 8pm. I have two small children, and I try to keep a nighttime routine. We can always make other arrangements; I am very easy to work with. If you would like your dog to be bathed right before picking up, we can arrange that as well! Dogs *MUST* be good with children and cats. I promise to love your animals and give them a happy & safe environment until you return! I cannot wait to meet you! I am currently a stay-at-home Mom! About: I do offer boarding at my farm. I only take up to 2 dogs at a time. We do a few walks everyday around the 8 acres. They get plenty of yard time. Every dog gets a specialized program with me and one Free training session. Does your animal need meds? No problem. If I can syringe a horse, I can handle a cat or dog (and have) I also LOVE cats. I have had a many cats in the last 28 years. House cats, barn cats, baby cats, old cats. I currently have 2 cats that were ring worm kittens from Paws. I finished up their treatment and adopted them. I can wrangle a barn cat that’s 1/2 feral to go to the vet or get it’s flea/tick meds. Don’t count me out if you have cats! They like me as much as I like them! I have taken care of pretty much any house pet from rats, to ferrets, parrots and snakes. I have had many tropical fish tanks too. Horses, cats and dogs are not my limits. As long as I’m not previously booked, I will be able to accommodate you. It never hurts to ask. I try to stay pretty close to home so I can fit in as many visits as possible but I do have great transportation. I keep safety in mind at all times. I am always aware when I’m walking a dog and will not let them mingle with other dogs or people. I always make sure water is fresh and plentiful. I am very cautious to avoid and loose animals. Your pets health and care are my career and my number one concerns.

Most of my duties at the shelter include feedings, giving meds, cleaning after them, socializing, playgroups with other dogs, and loving ever single baby! I have had two dogs of my own, and am experienced in caring for and walking dogs. Because I have been working with animals for so long, I am skilled in knowing the ins and outs of dogs, and their needs. Can’t wait to be working with you and your baby! Because I do not work full-time, my schedule is completely free and flexible to focus entirely on whatever your pet needs. I am fully available to accommodate everything from quick daily drop-in visits and midday walks to dedicated, overnight in-home house sitting. Since my time is wide open, I can easily maintain your pet's exact daily routine, provide constant companionship, and handle last-minute schedule changes or extended care with ease. About: I am very good with dogs, because I pay attention to their body language. Dogs communicate through their eyes, body and barks. Similar to a person using sign language. Most communication is non-verbal and I definitely pay attention and make sure I treat every furry friend with respect and love. Yard is not fully fenced in yet, but currently working towards fixing it or getting a new fence.
