With her age, she unexpectedly took a turn for the worse and they provided really great care and provided updates throughout the day on how she was doing - they even took turns sleeping downstairs with her so she wouldn't be alone. Caring for a stranger's 130lb dog is not easy but I was able to worry a little less knowing she was being cared for lovingly by them. They were also very flexible and allowed me to bring a bunch of floor runners to their house and they were also able to follow my millions of instructions including feeding schedules with supplements, and pills. “Melissa and Dan were absolutely wonderful with my dog, Princess Leia. She’s a small terrier and very much a COVID puppy, so she hasn’t had a lot of exposure to other dogs. I was a bit nervous about leaving her while I went out of town for my 50th high school reunion, but Melissa and Dan put me at ease right away. From the start, my plan was to have Leia stay with them for two nights, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. They have a lovely fenced yard and several dogs of their own, which created the perfect environment for Leia to safely and gradually get used to being around other dogs. Dan works from home, so I knew she was getting plenty of attention and supervision throughout the day. They kept me updated with several photos and messages showing how Leia was doing, which I really appreciated. It was clear that she was settling in well and getting comfortable in their home and with their dogs. When I picked her up, she was happy, relaxed, and seemed to have genuinely enjoyed her little “vacation.” I highly recommend Melissa and Dan for dog sitting. About: I’ve always had multiple pets my whole life from a young age, learned responsibilities by feeding, grooming, walking, entertaining, training and medically providing for all my pets and any animal in my care. I have experience working in multiple vet clinics throughout my childhood as I was a pre-vet major up until junior year of college so I have a lot of experience with all kinds of animals and medical knowledge as well. I now have my own dog, Appa, who is 2 that I raised from a puppy and am currently self training. I am currently a phd grad student at vanderbilt university so I have morning classes and lab work, but I live right down the road from campus (less than 5 min drive) and I always come home immediately after my classes/work to be home with Appa. Pet care fits into my daily schedule as I spend as much time as i can working from home so I can be with my dog. I have a 1 bedroom apartment and i live with my 2 year old fur baby named Appa! I have an apt with room for some zoomies and room to play with toys, I have a balcony if they like being outside and my buidling also has a small dog park on the roof with 2 fenced circular yards lined with turf so they can run around at a mini park as much as they want!

About: I have a miniature Australian Shepherd named Cocoa who is almost 4. She is the sweetest girl who LOVES toys and playing with other dogs Also have experience with anxious/nervous dogs as Cocoa is pretty anxious herself! I work as a therapist full time during the week however I am fully home in the evenings from 4pm on! Since I work during the week ideally drop off times for boarding would be 4pm on. I am also available for those who may need a sitter just for the evening! Weekends I am always home and they would have around the clock care for both daycare and boarding! Also willing to travel for pick ups/drop offs if needed! Also if you book with enough notice, there is a good chance I can request time off to be home for full supervision during the week! I have a fenced yard and my apartment is a pretty large size for them to roam/play! There is also a dog park in my apartment community if they have extra energy to burn off! “Audrey and Dan went above and beyond to take care of my senior Newfoundland (12 years 2 months) when we went away for 5 nights. With her age, she unexpectedly took a turn for the worse and they provided really great care and provided updates throughout the day on how she was doing - they even took turns sleeping downstairs with her so she wouldn't be alone. Caring for a stranger's 130lb dog is not easy but I was able to worry a little less knowing she was being cared for lovingly by them. They were also very flexible and allowed me to bring a bunch of floor runners to their house and they were also able to follow my millions of instructions including feeding schedules with supplements, and pills. Their patience and senior dog experience is invaluable and I would trust them with all my future dog needs. THANK YOU AGAIN!”
“Melissa and Dan were absolutely wonderful with my dog, Princess Leia. She’s a small terrier and very much a COVID puppy, so she hasn’t had a lot of exposure to other dogs. I was a bit nervous about leaving her while I went out of town for my 50th high school reunion, but Melissa and Dan put me at ease right away. From the start, my plan was to have Leia stay with them for two nights, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. They have a lovely fenced yard and several dogs of their own, which created the perfect environment for Leia to safely and gradually get used to being around other dogs. Dan works from home, so I knew she was getting plenty of attention and supervision throughout the day. They kept me updated with several photos and messages showing how Leia was doing, which I really appreciated. It was clear that she was settling in well and getting comfortable in their home and with their dogs. When I picked her up, she was happy, relaxed, and seemed to have genuinely enjoyed her little “vacation.” I highly recommend Melissa and Dan for dog sitting. They truly love dogs, understand dog behavior, and provide a safe, caring, and engaging environment. I would not hesitate to book with them again.”

“Ryan was overall easy going and a true dog lover from how he interacted with Abu from the very beginning. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing Abu was with great company. My pup came back tired from playing outside and full of energy so I know he was in a loving home with great pups too. From the very beginning I knew Ryan was a perfect fit for Abu and his needs.”
“Jim provided excellent care for my pup. I really appreciated his availability when my previous boarding arrangements fell through at the last minute. My pup is a finicky eater and Jim kept me up to date on her feeding habits and asked permission to add tempting meat to her food to entice her. She loves to run at full speed, so his fenced property was ideal. Jim also communicated with me as well as provided plenty of photos during her stay and a video of her socializing at playtime. “Tanvi and her family were wonderful with Dante! I could tell from the photos she sent that he was getting all the love and attention he craves (and he craves a lot haha). Her large fenced yard was exactly what Dante needed, whether romping with Tanvi's pup or just chilling by the pool. He returned home happy and tired after a fun week. We would definitely board with Tanvi again the next time we're away.”

We’re definitely going to have Hunter stay with her again, because as she said goodbye when he got dropped off, he made Bambi eyes like he almost didn’t want her to leave!”
