About: I'm a very caring animal lover and have been house and dog sitting for years. I've had my dog since she was a puppy so I have the experience to care for dogs of all ages. My dog is extremely active so I dont have any problem keeping up with pets of any activity level. I've been to training with my dog and am able to use the skills I've learned with my dog to any pet. About: I have been around dogs and cats my whole life. Up until recently, I have raised 2 dogs for the past 15 years and cats prior to/during part of that time. I am a stay-at-home mom with 2 young adults away at college so I have flexibility to visit homes with dogs or cats throughout the day. About: Diagnosed with allergies in childhood, I didn’t have pets until in my 20s, when I picked a week-old kitten from a litter & raised him. Thelonious used to walk between my shoulders as I moved around the house, and slept in my bed. Friends told me he behaved more like a dog than a cat—very affectionate. We were very close. His death broke my heart & I still miss him. Seven years ago, I did cat-sitting for a friend whose apartment in NYC I stayed in for a summer while working nearby on Varick Street. I don’t rush my check-ins; I stay the full duration to ensure your pet gets plenty of physical play and mental stimulation. Because my hours are highly adaptable, I can drop in at the exact times your pet expects breakfast, dinner, or treats. I’m happy to take photos during my stay to enable you as the pet owner to feel secure about your pet’s care in your absence. I like to play with & talk to pets, and try to adhere to their normal routines, so they, too, feel comfortable in your absence.
