About: Hi! I've been fostering dogs from a local shelter for a little over 2 years. In that time, I've helped about 20 dogs find their forever families. There's been dogs in our home ranging in age from 9 months to 9 years, all with a different story. Abused, neglected, owner surrender, stray, court case holds, seniors, puppies, overweight, super skinny and anything else you can think of! I treated them all with empathy and showered them affection to earn their trust and love. Many of my former fosters come for visits while their owners are on vacation. Any pup that comes through my doors will be cared for and treated with respect, just like my fosters! I work at a school, so I'm currently on summer break. When school is in session, I work Monday to Friday 9-1, and I'm off evenings, weekends and holidays. I also work in the town in which I reside, so my commute is less than 5 minutes, meaning I'm close by! I have a fully fenced in yard, crates and dog beds in various sizes, bowls, blankets and mounds of toys. I'm also comfortable administering medication if needed.

“Annette and Martin watched our Niko over our four day vacation. From the moment we met them for the meet n greet, it was clear that they were the PERFECT hosts to watch our baby while we were gone. They clearly love the dogs they host and were communicative every step of the way. We received pictures and saw videos of Niko's vacation and never once felt sad that we had to "leave him". Upon pick up, Niko was very relaxed (not the normal hyper dog that we pick up). He was reluctant to leave and made his rounds to his new "FRIENDS" before we left (he usually cannot wait to leave). This was hands down the best experience we've ever had with any "boarding" and will not only will I recommend dogvacay.com but will give a glowing reference specific to Annette and Martin to every dog owner I know. “Janet and Ken were wonderful ! My 2 bichon/poodles were comfortable there right away, which is unusual for them. They loved exploring the backyard, and curled up on the couch. No need to worry about them being on the furniture, or having an "accident". I was finally able to relax while away, knowing my babies were in good hands. Janet and Ken are real animal lovers and so accommodating. I highly recommend them !!”
