About: I’ve lived with at least one cat my entire life. Having experienced deep bonds with these fascinating creatures, I know how hard it is to leave them. It’s impossible to enjoy a vacation unless I know that when I’m gone, my furry companions are looked after and cared for. I’ve worked in animal shelters, watched pets for family, friends and neighbors, and rescued kitties from the streets. I have cared for older kitties who need extra care, anxious cats who do NOT like strangers, and bottle-fed kittens, so special needs clients are no problem. I’m also a bit of a neat freak so litter box maintenance is a priority for me… and, of course, if your cats just need some company for a little while, hanging out with them would be a pleasure.

About: I've had a strong love for animals since I was a kid and always grew up with a pet. While that's a common backstory, I wanted mine to result in becoming a veterinarian. Now that may not have happened (I changed my mind in college), but my love and desire to be around them has never changed. I've owned birds, hamsters, turtles, cats, dogs and fish. From my childhood dog Bruno who died a few years ago, to my late grandma's dog Jabar (who I drove across the country to get when she died) to my current babies; Brick (rescued from the streets) and Plato (my turtle rescued from an unethical vendor). Here we are now, one big, happy multi-species family! I work from home while my partner goes into an office. This is how I can care for my boy Brick and my other house doggie Jabar (his mommy goes to work so I take care of him during the day too). I can give your baby a huge portion of my attention a day, because Brick is a puppy I always watch him like a hawk. Brick gets up around 4:30 am with his dad so he can get breakfast and go out. But I don't wake up until around 7:30 am so that's when Brick comes back out. We go outside and I let him run around like crazy for about 30-45 mins and then I keep him in the living room with me while I start work. Because he's a puppy, every two hours we outside to the background and he gets lunch around 2 pm. He gets about 2 hours out to play and be with Jabar, and in the cage for an hour. That's on routine throughout the day but when Dad gets home around 6 he's out for the rest of the day until bed. Jabar is older and more independent so he plays, roams the house, eats and drinks throughout the day when he wants and goes outside with me and Brick.

About: I have over 25 years of experience watch dogs. The last two years I have been working with the See Eye Foundation as a Puppy Sitter. I sit for puppies 8 weeks to 13 years old, for a single day to over a week. I also have a 12 year-old English Fox Hound that likes to take me on walks/runs daily I am currently retired and this leave me plenty of time to take care of your dog. I am an avid runner and cyclist, so walking or even running with your dog is not a problem I do not have a fenced yard, but I have a 3-acre property where dogs can roam and run. I do have a 120 foot leash that lets the dogs run without fear of them running away. If your dog likes to play fetch or just do a lot of exploring, the yard is ideal for them. I am also available to do multiple daily check ins and walks if the dog prefers to stay at home.

I grew up with a number of dogs, cats, horses, and chickens so I am familiar with letting pets out in a fenced in yard, taking them for a walk in the park, car rides, and simply walking around the neighborhood.
About: I’ve loved animals my whole life and knew I always wanted to work with them. I’ve always cared for the pets I had growing up which included dogs, cats and guinea pigs! I then started watching friends and family members dogs and cats when they were away. One of my first jobs was at a boarding facility where I cared for and walked dogs! I have a flexible schedule due to the fact that I am home everyday caring for my 2 year old son! I would love to bring him along for walks and drop ins! My dog gets walked everyday followed by a relaxing rest stop by the river in our backyard! We love to be outdoors as much as possible!

My pup is a finicky eater and Jim kept me up to date on her feeding habits and asked permission to add tempting meat to her food to entice her. She loves to run at full speed, so his fenced property was ideal. Jim also communicated with me as well as provided plenty of photos during her stay and a video of her socializing at playtime. “Melissa and Angel are so amazing! They did a fabulous job at looking after my sweet girl and sent me lots of updates with pictures and videos. She looked so comfy and cozy. She had a blast! My girl had an ear infection at the time of boarding as well and they did very well making sure to stay on her medication schedule. She was very calm and not agitated at all coming back from her stay. We had a huge hiccup with car troubles and needed to extend her stay 2 more nights. Melissa and Angel made me feel so comfortable and assured me that everything would be okay when extending the times. They worked with me the entire time! “This was the first time that we have used rover to board our dog while on vacation, and we were incredibly pleased with the care provided to him by Johanny. Our dog (Benny) was just diagnosed as being hypothyroid and was dealing with many different associated conditions that required medicines and a lot of extra care. This was why we decided to try Rover rather than just boarding him at a kennel. Johanny was available at late notice and was amazing with Benny. We received pictures each day and she had no trouble administering all the medications. He was healthy when we returned and we are incredibly grateful for the care that she provided. We will DEFINITELY be using her again in the future.”

“Joan was a great sitter for our baby, Nimer. I loved receiving daily updates on how he was doing as well as pictures and videos. We chose the boarding option, and Nimer had the best time at Joan's house, sleeping on her bed, playing in the cat tunnels, and climbing the cat trees. He also got along so well with her ferrets! Her house is free of any harmful products and is a safe space for just about any pet. Nimer will definitely be coming back when we go on our next trip. Highly recommend!”
