“We've had our cats 10 years. Until now I was reluctant to leave them for more than 1-2 nights max. The only time we'd left them for a week was when a close friend stayed with them. I'd heard of Rover but wasn't sure what I'd get, maybe someone who could feed my cats and fix my TV, giving both the same care and empathy. Not so with Dawn. Dawn understands people and their pets! About: When I’m not boarding, walking, or doing doggy daycare I’m hanging out with my kiddos. About: I have had a dog at least 20 years. We occasionally have a Labrador a week at a time, he has full run of the house. I do not work, so I am home most of the time. I do local Arts Markets, but those aren't long days. A dog would get lots of attention. I have a fenced in back yard that has plenty of room for playing. The house is one floor, which would be easier on older dogs.

About: I’ve owned and worked with dogs my whole life. I am the owner of a grooming salon and have worked in dog daycares as well as an animal hospital. We will treat your pups like our own! 🥰 We like to stick with what they are used to at home. Sleep on the bed? No prob! Snuggle on the couch? You got it! But if you have rules you are working on we are happy to help with those too. We have a large fenced in yard but the snow is high right now. So to be safe we are only taking dogs under 30 lbs. About: I am a mom to a wonderful 4 year old boy! I am a server at the moment, also looking to fill up some of my free time by spending time with and looking after some pups and cats since I am not allowed to have my own full time at the place I currently live! I have been around animals almost my entire life, mainly dogs, but also cats; birds, ferrets, guinea pigs, and also a chameleon! When I was around 7 up until age 12, I helped my aunts take care of over 20 miniature pinchers, as well as a Doberman, 5 cats, 3 ferrets, and two birds! And afterwards, I’ve lived with three pups that have absolutely all of my heart. Since moving out of my parents a several years ago though, I only get to see my pups a few times a week, and god do I miss being around them for snuggles, walks, and playtime outside. I cherish every moment with them. I don’t currently have any pups living with me at my own place, the stars haven’t aligned quite yet to take in a dog of our own, which is why I’ve decided to become apart of this community so that I am able to still spend more time with pups and also help out others who need their’s watched and cared for! I know most dogs (and some cats depending on their mood aha) just need lots of love and attention, and it can be super nerve wracking for them to be away from their owners, but also nerve wracking for the owners to leave their pets with a stranger. “Becky was great. She accepted the booking quickly and communicated well throughout. The photos showed a group of very happy dogs - these are some of my favorite photos of my little guy. My dog can't bear to be left alone and is a sweet but insistent snuggler. He also gets the zoomies when he is nervous. She welcomed him with open arms and settled him quickly. She was sorry to see him leave, but he will definitely be back!”
“Katie was great watching our Portuguese Water Dog. It was very easy to set up a drop-off time and work out the details with her prior. She kept us updated with pictures and our puppy came back well exercised and happy.”

“My pup just came back from her first time boarding at Shayna's and all went very well. We had done a meet and greet previously just to be sure that all the doggies got along, and they seemed to do great together during this overnight. I was happy to hear about lots of activity time between walks as well as group play in a nice shady backyard. Both my pup and I looking forward to having her stay again at Shayna's soon!”
“Noreen and her family so excellent with our family oriented dog Ellie. She was made to feel like she had a second family while we were away. Would be hard pressed to find a better caretaker than Noreen and her family.”

I received daily updates as well, it was nice to see and hear how their stay was going. I felt like I left my dogs with family, people who loved and cared for them as we would!!!”

“Lucia was great and was very flexible when watching Chloe. We were away for two weeks and she allowed my sister, who would be watching her the other days, to drop off and pick-up and was accommodating to her tough work schedule. We appreciated that she had other dogs and a fenced in yard. The once a day updates were perfect both for keeping our minds at ease and showing us how great of a time Chloe was having. 100% would recommend!”
