“We've had our cats 10 years. Until now I was reluctant to leave them for more than 1-2 nights max. The only time we'd left them for a week was when a close friend stayed with them. I'd heard of Rover but wasn't sure what I'd get, maybe someone who could feed my cats and fix my TV, giving both the same care and empathy. Not so with Dawn. Dawn understands people and their pets! I received daily communications, knowing when she was there and how things went. Our boys are quite shy, but they warmed up to Dawn, which goes a long way with me. I could go on, but don't want to put anyone to sleep. Suffice to say that I will definitely have her look after our boys in the future, should need arise.”
About: My experience of caring for pets has started since I was a child taking care of family pets and later getting my own animals. In a professional setting I have been a Vet Tech for 9 years and done house sitting and dog walking for 5 years. During this time I have worked with everything from puppies, to diabetic cats. I also have limited experience working with large animals and farm animals. Needless to say working with animals is a passion of mine. About: I am a mom to a wonderful 4 year old boy! I am a server at the moment, also looking to fill up some of my free time by spending time with and looking after some pups and cats since I am not allowed to have my own full time at the place I currently live! I have been around animals almost my entire life, mainly dogs, but also cats; birds, ferrets, guinea pigs, and also a chameleon! When I was around 7 up until age 12, I helped my aunts take care of over 20 miniature pinchers, as well as a Doberman, 5 cats, 3 ferrets, and two birds! And afterwards, I’ve lived with three pups that have absolutely all of my heart. Since moving out of my parents a several years ago though, I only get to see my pups a few times a week, and god do I miss being around them for snuggles, walks, and playtime outside. I cherish every moment with them. I don’t currently have any pups living with me at my own place, the stars haven’t aligned quite yet to take in a dog of our own, which is why I’ve decided to become apart of this community so that I am able to still spend more time with pups and also help out others who need their’s watched and cared for! I know most dogs (and some cats depending on their mood aha) just need lots of love and attention, and it can be super nerve wracking for them to be away from their owners, but also nerve wracking for the owners to leave their pets with a stranger. Dogs and cats are more than pets, they’re family. Trusting in me to care and look after your pet is something that will never be overlooked, and I will do whatever I can to ensure that they are cared for and kept safe, as well as doing whatever is needed to give you complete piece of mind that your loved one(s) are in the greatest of hands✨ I look forward to meeting you and your pups or kittys!! I have Monday-Wednesday off, varying things going on during those three days so availability will vary! Fridays I’m available anytime after 4 ! About: I have been a dog owner since I was 5 and for then past 37 years I have had primarily beagles along with one Vizsla with typically 2 at any given time. Our last beagle Charlie passed away a few months ago and while we would like the freedom having no pet allows us we miss the company and unconditional love they offer us. My wife worked as a vet tech for 10 years so we are comfortable administering meds and I have been pretty successful with training pups (yes even beagles). I work mostly from home and my wife has the summers off from teaching so it fits great unto our routine and it would be a pleasure to have dogs underfoot again. We have crates if dogs feel at home in them but they are welcome in all the rooms downstairs. We live on a long dirt road which is perfect for walks and if it gets too hot we have a cool basement and a pond for them to swim in.

About: My love for animals started at a really young age and it only grew from there. I grew up with all different breeds from shitzus to Mastiffs each hold a special place in my heart. We were away for two weeks and she allowed my sister, who would be watching her the other days, to drop off and pick-up and was accommodating to her tough work schedule. We appreciated that she had other dogs and a fenced in yard. The once a day updates were perfect both for keeping our minds at ease and showing us how great of a time Chloe was having. 100% would recommend!”
