About: I’ve lived my whole life with at least one pet in the house and shared responsibility in caring for him or her. I took in my own pupper, Benji, in the summer of 2020 as a 4-month-old puppy and trained him myself. My husband and I also have a precious cat named Princess who rules the roost :) We love our fur family, and I/we can’t wait to love on yours! I work a regular 8-5 job that has some flexibility in the morning and afternoon (I can come in later and leave earlier if I need to). I’m free most evenings and weekends. I can take care of pets in my apartment for a short period, but they have to be ok with cats and dogs. I have a cat tree and a litter box, and I take my small dog on a walk 3x a day. I would do the same or more for my clients. I also expect my clients to line out any needs and rules for me in their homes and/or for their pets so I can take care of them as desired.

My name is Kayla and I am a 30 year old childless cat (and dog) lady. I have spent my entire life around animals and wouldn't have it any other way. We always had dogs while growing up, which eventually grew into also having cats, mice, lizards, etc. I turned this personal love of animals into a profession by spending many years working in pet boarding/daycare facilities, pet shelters, and by pet sitting on the side. I have been around so many different kinds of pet personalities and temperaments and strive to approach each animal appropriately to keep everyone safe and comfortable. I have also had much experience with special needs and senior pets. About: My wife and I both grew up with multiple dogs in our families. My wife grew up on a farm with mostly outside cattle dogs and I grew up in the city with mostly inside dogs. When we got married we got a dog of our own. She was our baby until we had kids of our own. She was then the best big sister to our daughters the rest of her life. We have owned 2 boxers in the time that we have been married and truly loved our time with them. We have realized as our 3 girls have gotten older and super involved in activities, we no longer have time for a dog of our own. That is what has brought us to Rover. During the school year we are very busy teaching, coaching, and running our 3 daughters to activities. During the summer our schedule slows way down. We are usually home during the the week and at the lake on the weekend. All/most of my family would be available for pet care Monday-Friday during the summer. We would be available to have dogs in our home or to drive to your home. We would not be able to do any overnights in your home, but would welcome dogs to stay over night in our home. We live in a split level house, so there is no way to avoid stairs. We have a big fenced in backyard with a play set, trampoline, and above ground pool. About: Even in childhood, I've loved animals. I decided when I was very young that I wanted to make a career out of rescuing abused, disabled, and neglected animals who need help; I still think about this dream today, at 20 years old. For all my life, I've had a dog, cat, or critter to come home to. I'm willing and able to go on walks, though prefer not to walk too much on days above 90 degrees Fahrenheit or below 30. As far as I'm concerned, I'm willing and able to do anything your animal may need. I care about every animal companion, and will do my best to make their lives as enjoyable as possible. I would even be willing to try caring for an animal that may act somewhat aggressive, as long as they don't have a history of serious injuries, seeing as I'm not trained to defuse an attitude such as that yet. I am also, of course, willing to care for your home through small time chores as long as I am there. Right now, I'm a sandwich slinger at Subway. Usually I only get morning shifts which are 3 hours on average, 6 hours tops. I would let you know if I'm going to be away for longer! Otherwise, I try not to leave my wards for more than 4-5 hours just out of caution. I generally prefer to petsit outside my home, since our pets aren't always awesome with new friends... but I'm always willing to come to your place, granted we (of course) meet beforehand so I can get a lay of the land and your pets can assess me. I will do my best to keep routines just the same for your pet, as well as ensure that the house is NOT messed up. I will keep in touch with you with pictures and updates! (Unless you don't need that, of course!)
About: I live in a wonderful, quiet neighborhood that allows us to go on long, quiet walks. In addition, to walks we can play outside in our fenced yard, playing catch or fetching the ball or just lying in the sun enjoying ourselves. If you dog is older and just likes to have a relaxing day on the couch we can do that too. What ever you prefer your dog to do, I can give them.
