I've raised shelter dogs since I was five years old, have professional experience with many other species such as small animals and cattle. About: Having grown up with dogs, I understand how important they are as family members. As a graduate student living away from home, I especially miss spending time with my family's dogs. I’ve also cared for my friends’ dogs, so I know every pet has their own personality and routine. As a graduate student, I have class Tuesday and Thursday during the middle of the day and Monday evenings, so I am unavailable during those times. I also am an TA for a lab that runs 1pm-8pm Tuesday and Wednesday. Outside of class and lab, my weekday schedule is flexible. I have the most availability on weekends, and my evenings are almost always free for walks, drop-in visits, or overnight care. About: I lived on a farm and had all types of animals. I love dogs. Cats are fine, but I love dogs. My wife and I also had parakeets, finches, and cockatiels for a number of years. Since I'm retired, I'm pretty flexible. I like to walk, so taking your dog for a walk would be something I would very much enjoy. When the weather is nice, I enjoy going to dog parks with the dogs. Tell me what you want to do, and I will do it. If there are special needs, i would prefer them in writing. If I think I would not be a good fit, I will tell you. About: I have taken care of a whole bunch of cats over the years and be honest with you. They are their own creature. I love how the attitude always comes out even when you don’t expect it. My experience of taking care of cats is fun, energetic, and they can use a whole bunch of love. I know how to administer medication in keeping those litter boxes, clean and healthy is what’s more important to a cat and to a human. I don’t have a cat, but it’s the experience is what I cherish the most.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life. I’ve trained dogs through three levels of obedience and raised five of them myself from the time they were 8 weeks old and took care of them through their elderly years including in pup wheel chairs. I’m comfortable with pets of all ages and personalities, from playful puppies to independent cats and senior pets. I treat every animal as if they were my own—making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I work school hours during the week and have Thursdays at home, which gives me extra flexibility for pet care.
