She accommodated everything we could possibly ask for and tried her absolute best in a situation that wasn't perfect. She made the most of it and did everything she possibly could. Billy ended up falling in love with her kids and had a really wonderful time. I was so lucky to have found Jess for our emergency last minute boarding needs. She and her family went out of their way to make Billy feel special and loved and included. He didn't want to leave! About: Hello! I love all animals and will be willing to look after your dog and do the best I can to ensure they feel at their best! I graduated from NC State with a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science in 2015. I received my Master's degree in nutrition in 2018. I have completed a few internships at vet clinics and shelters. I welcome all dogs as I am most experienced with horses -so big dogs are not a problem! Animals have always been a passion of mine and I know how to pay special attention to dogs and their needs. Generally I can spot common issues and know how to stay calm in an emergency. What the owner suggests, I will keep in mind at all times. There will be no worries about your fur babies under my care! I do work during the day M-F, and do not work from home. So if this isn’t a problem, I will give your fur baby the upmost care and attention when I return from work during their stay! I am home all day during weekends and most holidays! I work full time M-F. However, despite this, I am so attentive to my fur babies. I have an indoor camera where they can be watched while I am gone. If my work schedule is not a problem, I promise your fur baby will have a blast with me! I take it very serious for fur babies to be tended to and watched. I am very cautious and think of their safety, always. I am very communicative and will notify owners of anything that is an emergency! I ask many questions to make sure your fur baby feels safe and as happy as they can be in my or their home.

About: We have had many different types of pets over the years and understand the worry of having someone care for your pets while you are away. We are here to help with that worry by providing your pet a loving, fun and safe environment while you are away. Our family consist of my husband, a son in college and a daughter in high school and myself. We have a 13 year old Beagle/Terrier mix who is mostly interested in chasing squirrels and naps. We have recently rescued a kitten who is a fire cracker and provides a lot of interaction and entertainment for other cats and dogs who engages with her. I am home full time and when the children are home both enjoy caring and playing with the pets in our care. Being home allows me to have eyes on your pets and be readily available and responsive. We are well off the beaten path with lots of yard to roam and other barn yard pets. We have a small farm with an area fenced for our dogs as well as a fenced pasture for our farm animals. We also can accommodate crates for those pets that prefer the safety of their known space. Your pet with be a part of our tribe when they are here and will be safe and have a great time. I welcome frequent contact and am very responsive to each pet and their owners needs. Your pet will get the highest level of care here on the farm.

If your pet is visiting me I don't have a yard, but I live in a quiet and very walkable neighborhood. I am on the ground floor of a house, so there are no risks associated with a deck or being multiple floors up in a building. Pets are welcome in all areas of my space, including on the furniture, unless you have a rule at home you would like me to reinforce as well. In my own home, pets are an extension of the family and are treated as such. About: I love cats and dogs, and have had cats most of my adult life. I believe animals are truly family members and should be treated with gentleness and respecting their nature. I have no problem following detailed instructions, and every visit I take pics to show you your fur baby is being well cared for! I am free most mornings before 8:30am and in the evenings after 6pm. On weekends I have more flexibility in my schedule. I’ll be happy to work with you on whatever your scheduling needs are! If a client discusses a list of instructions, I’ll do my best to follow them to the letter. Otherwise, I’ll follow what to me is ideal care for an animal: ensuring they have clean and fresh water, proper food, cleaning litter boxes or taking a dog out for a walk as needed, and spending a little time cuddling and playing (respecting how shy they might be!). If a pet is too shy to play, sometimes I’ll just spend a few minutes sitting on the floor and talking to them in a soothing voice so they can get used to my presence as someone who is friendly. If approved beforehand, I can even bring (or use your own) a few treats! I may also reach out to you if I see something that I think needs addressing (not enough food or litter, a pet seeming lethargic or coughing excessively etc.). If that happens, I’ll discuss with you how you want to handle it. In case of illness, I take my own cats to Wentworth Animal Hospital so, for example, if I saw your cat seemed to be vomiting excessively, if you approved it I would have no problem taking them in for a walk-in and working out the payment and a reasonable rate with you over the phone. The most important thing is to ensure that your fur baby is given the best care possible. :-)
About: My passion has always been caring for animals, which is why I chose a career as a zookeeper. In recent years I have worked with exotic animals including bats, birds of prey, and reptiles however before that I worked as a kennel supervisor caring for dogs and cats. My passion for animals in never ending and as a zookeeper, I’m no stranger to the less glamorous side of animal care. Whether caring for a playful puppy, a senior pet, or an animal with special needs, I understand that every pet is unique. About: I have taken care of my neighbors dogs and cats and occasionally they have asked me to house sit. I am very reliable, and I LOVE animals. I will take care of your pet as if he/she is my own. With me, your pets would be in GREAT hands, and you wouldn’t have to worry about the fees of the kennel. I am able to administer medicine if needed and I am able to provide CPR and First Aid I currently work a full time job but I am available Monday through Thursday after 4:30 and Friday after 2:30. I am available weekends as well and can work whenever needed I will take care of your pet and give them whatever they need. I will give them plenty of play time and cuddles and I will feed them and give them fresh water whenever they eat or come inside. I will give them medicine if needed as well

Billy ended up falling in love with her kids and had a really wonderful time. I was so lucky to have found Jess for our emergency last minute boarding needs.
