About: I've always lived with dogs and cats growing up. Dogs are my sanctuary from people. I joke that in my line of social work I go to the houses to see the people but stay to play with the dog. I also enjoy being active and playing around so dogs can get their energy out. Cats, although some people don't like them, are also fun for me. I love playing with them and letting them snuggle. About: I've had animals since I was a child and have taken care of them all of my adult life. I have personally fostered over 75 dogs through to their adoptions! I'm a trusted caregiver who can handle animals of all sizes, ages, abilities and temperaments! I love getting to know each animal's personality and how to best take care of them! With several dogs and a cat at home, I am always in pet care mode (and know how important it is to find a trusted sitter). Whether it is a drop-in or a boarding situation, I treat each pet like they are my own. (Also, our cat has his own "wing" of our home so he is not interacting with any visiting dogs.) We have two friendly, large dogs, Tennessee & Tucky who have been foster brothers to over 75 dogs of all sizes and ages. About: My mom got me my first dog when I was 10 years old, and it was from then on that I promised to take care of him the best way I knew how. I have experience administering medication (in pill form, liquid, and gel) to both dogs and cats, even when they don’t want to take it. I have also personally trained my dog to sit, lie down, high five, and on accident, I taught him to get up on his hind legs and beg with his front paws. If there is any special care that your animal needs, I would be more than happy to quickly and efficiently learn and adapt to care for your animal the way they deserve. I am currently job searching, so I will be free almost every weekday with exception for surprise obligations that my family often come to me with. I am not available on the weekends, including friday for various extraneous responsibilities. When I first meet an animal, I get down to their level and extend my hand just enough to offer it as an option for them to investigate, but not enough to shove it it their face. I wait until the dog or cat engages with me before I try to pet them on my own to ensure that they feel comfortable and safe. If your animal has separation anxiety, I would be more than happy to comfort them with calming words and gentle hands for pets and snuggles. I will only feed or give your animal a treat if I am told to do so or given the okay beforehand as I do not want to over feed them or give them a treat you have bought without consent.
About: I have always grown up with dogs and have loved having them in my life. I just moved to the area and adopted a dog myself. I’d love to love on your dogs and give them all the care they need and deserve! I work an 8-5 job Monday through Friday but am remote 2 days a week, off on the weekends, and am free after work. The weekends is when I am the most available, so if your pet needs some extra love I can be there longer on weekends! However, if you just need someone to walk your pup or do a quick check in, I can be there any day. Within your home, I can take care of your pup however you need! Provide me with your pups specific needs and personality and I can tailor my care to them. Perhaps they like more snuggles or more outside play time. We can work together to ensure your pup receives the best care possible. Within my house, I have lots of toys and puzzles which I like to use to make sure the dog is being active both physically and mentally. On weekdays, I’m available before 8 AM and after 4:30 PM, and I can also accommodate walks and drop-in visits throughout the day to ensure pets receive reliable, consistent care. If a dog is crate-trained or needs a crate for safety or comfort, I’m able to crate them as needed.
