“Both John and his wife cared for Sarge so well. We got pictures frequently of Sarge enjoying his time with their dogs and relaxing with everyone. When I picked Sarge up he seemed so happy! We will definitely be using their services again! I cannot recommend them enough! GREAT CHOICE for boarding your dog!”

“Christianna was so great to my babies. Took them at the last minute and handled unsure/fearful cat with love and care. Will 100% use her services again if I need a sitter in the future. Thanks again Christianna!”

“Eric and family are amazing! This was our first time using Rover and Eric went out of his way to make us comfortable and accommodate our schedule. We highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“We had the absolute best experience! Kristin sent multiple pictures every day, which gave us so much peace of mind, and it was clear our dog was so loved and well cared for. Honestly, I think our dog was a little sad to leave her house! Kristin was incredibly warm and friendly, answered all of our questions promptly, and treated our dog like her own. We will definitely be booking with her again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for excellent care.”

“Melanie and Addison treated our dogs just like their own. Because of this, I was able to actually enjoy vacation. They are amazing and our dogs were very well cared for.”

“Cooper had a great time during his stay! We felt very comfortable leaving him here during the week and will definitely be booking again the next time we are out of town!”

“Courtney was absolutely amazing! From the moment we connected, they were responsive, professional, and clearly passionate about pups. They took incredible care of my girl Rosie, and I could tell right away that she was in great hands. I really appreciated the daily updates and photos — it gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Rosie looked so happy and comfortable the whole time. When I came back, everything was just as I left it, and my pet was calm, content, and clearly well-loved. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. I’ll definitely be booking with Courtney and Kailee again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, caring pet care!”

“OMG!!!! By far THE BEST EXPERIENCE I could ask for. Loved the transparency from the beginning! My Harmonie had the BEST time and I loved the pic mail received during her stay. Definitely will rebook when in town!!!!”

“Michelle took great care of our pup! We have a 16-month old lab-mix with medium/high energy, and she kept her safe, active, and entertained. She was also flexible with our travel schedule which was massively helpful. Much more reasonable/affordable rates compared to other Rovers in the area. No idea how people justify $75 - $100+ nightly rates; seems outrageous, IMO. Anyways, not much more you can ask for or expect! Great experience all around. Will not hesitate to book with her again if/when the need arises.”

“I was very happy with Kathleen's service. I wanted input from my furbaby, Spike, about his stay, but he isn't very conversational! LOL But the picture Kathleen sent me of with him stretched out on her sofa, told me he was just fine. I'm look forward to working with her again in the future. Thanks, Kathleen!”

“Duke,Scooby, and Brittany loved their stay with Jenny. They especially loved being able to go in and out as they wanted. Duke and Scooby enjoyed their supervised swim times to the pond. We got to see Duke and Scooby swim before we left. We knew they were going to enjoy their stay. Pictures showed they were being themselves doing what they wanted to do.”

“Rose was very accommodating .. it was a last minute decision to board our fur baby Tiko. She’s very personable & sweet, made me feel very comfortable with leaving my baby in her care … Tiko had a blast with her pets also .. would book her in a heartbeat anytime we r in town again ..”

“Sabrina was awesome. When our dog Poppy had bad separation anxiety she gave her special attention and per our recommendation hand fed her a little chicken. This got Poppy calmed down and cooperative. Thank you for the extra effort Sabrina. You are the best.”

About: 40+ years’ experience caring for and loving dogs of all ages. I’m comfortable with puppies, senior dogs and even those in their prime with plenty of energy. I am experienced with administering medicine if needed and caring for those with special needs. My husband and I have always had our own fur babies (toy and standard poodles), but do not have any currently. Can host only NON-SHEDDING BREEDS, due to family allergies. Must be house broken/trained (to potty outside), with the exception of puppies. I am retired, so I’m always here to give extra cuddles, potty breaks, play time and walks. I really love their company! Tell me their routine while at home with you and I will do my best to ensure it stays the same when in my care. We have a large fenced yard with shade in a small and quiet subdivision. Our home is two story so plenty of room for playing and naps. If they do not care stairs, I will ensure stay on the main floor. Our neighborhood is perfect for walks. I have crates if they are crate trained and you prefer that, but that is not necessary unless that is your preference. Being on the furniture or bed in our home is fine with me too. I give extra special attention if they are nervous for any reason such as thunderstorms, loud noises (such as fireworks on a holiday). I am very attentive and adapt to small things such as if they just don't like going out in the rain. I always send daily updates including photos, videos & text throughout their stay.

About: I am a mom to 4 high-energy medium/large breed dogs. I am no stranger to cleaning up accidents, administering medications, handling pets with reactivity, and fulfilling exercise such as playing fetch, tug, flirt pole, long walks, brain stimulation (keeping up with training/commands) or simply snuggling if your baby is low activity. I have been a self-employed residential cleaner for over 8 years and create my own schedule allowing me the flexibility to care for your pets and mine! I am so grateful for all my clients who trust me to help take care of their home and I am hoping to build trust with pet parents as I would love to transition into pet care full time as it has always been what I am most passionate about. While I do have four dogs of my own, I am able to keep your dogs separate from mine at all times if requested and or necessary when boarding. I built my dogs their own apartment behind our house fully equipped with heat, ac, a bed, and doggie door leading to a fenced in area so your dog(s) does not have to be dog friendly and we are also child free so your dog can be the only baby in our home the duration of their stay! But if you would like for your dog(s) to have a playdate and a doggie daycare style stay that can be arranged as well!

“Theresa did a great job taking care of Asher. He got to hang with 3 other fellow canines & got to be a guest at her dog Maggie's birthday party 🥳🥳. She played ball & Frisbee with him & gave him much love. Got great updates & I felt very assured he was well taken care of She has a wonderful fenced in back yard the dogs can run to their hearts content.”

“She was incredible with both my labs. Very responsive. Sent updates of them playing. I felt totally comfortable with them in her care. She even exercised them on a treadmill on a rainy day. I would recommend her to anyone looking for dog care in the area.”

“First time leaving my pup with Rebecca. I am very high maintenance, though my dog is usually super easy. Rebecca was so easy to work with. She was so responsive, sent me lots of great photos and happily answered my neurotic questions about whether Milo ate, etc. Rebecca is a great sitter. Highly recommend.”

About: I have been a babysitter for over 20 years. Most of the families I worked with had pets, dogs or cats. I have had cats of my own over the years but now I help my mom take care of her 2 dogs. I recently moved to Newport News so I have a completely open schedule. I am already cooking fresh food for my mom's dogs and walking them regularly. Come join us. I prepare meals for my mom's dogs weekly. I research foods they can and cannot have to make sure they are happy and healthy. I also walk them 3 times a day minimum. There is a dog park on the premises but they mostly just sniff around :).

“BOOCHI’S FIRST DAY AT DAYCARE 🐶 All I can say is WOW... I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter than Monti! When it comes to loving on your fur baby & making them feel at home away from home, Monti is an absolute ANGEL!!! When we first met for our meet and greet last week, it was abundantly clear that Monti and her husband truly love and understand dogs. At first, I was hesitant to book my pup, Boochi, for his first day at daycare because he tends to be a bit picky and kinda anxious sometimes, but Monti and her hubby made him feel completely at home right away – it was like Boochi was part of their family! ❤️ Yesterday was Boochi’s first day at daycare, and he was initially a little nervous when I dropped him off… he wasn't sure whether to follow me or stay with Monti. Fortunately, Monti is a PRO with dogs, and she was SO on top of his care plan – you can tell that she honestly loves and cares about the dogs she watches. From bringing out an entire room full of toys to streaming Boochi's fave comfort cartoon, Monti went MUCH further than the extra mile to make sure that he was comfortable and content… and did I mention how well-fed Boochi was? Not only did she make him his fave lunch, but she even sent him home with cheerios and some leftover chicken with broth! Throughout the day, Monti sent me adorable photos and videos, as well as regular updates with cute little stories about Boochi’s first day at daycare – which really put my mind at ease while I was away… it was clear that Boochi was bonding with Monti, having an awesome time, and getting LOTS of love, attention, and “sugars” (aka kisses). Later, when I arrived for pick-up, Boochi almost didn’t want to leave… he was happy, totally relaxed, and sorta tired from his fun, eventful day – which is always a good sign! In fact, Boochi barely ran over to me because he had become SO comfortable with Monti! Ultimately, Boochi’s first day at daycare couldn’t have gone better! I’m SO glad we found Monti and her husband, and we will definitely be booking again ASAP… it’s such a relief to know that we’ve finally found someone that we can trust with our baby boy! For anyone seeking a warm, caring, professional, and reliable sitter who goes above and beyond to treat your fur baby like family, I HIGHLY recommend booking with Monti… and don’t just walk – RUN!!! 🐾”

The facilities were impressive and I knew immediately Jolene was going to have a fun and safe experience. Rose is extremely professional and great to work with. I will not need to look further when booking in the future :)”

“Rhonda was warm and friendly! It seems that Dakota had a very interesting visit with her. This was the first time we had him to a sitter. He came home exhausted and happy!!”

“We are so appreciative of Ricardo and his family opening up their home for our dogs. Taking it slow and making sure they have a good time while we are getting settled into our new house. We get pictures and updates throughout the day and our dogs are so excited to get there to spend the day. Very grateful to have found them nearby to us.”

About: I’ve had dogs in my home my entire life and have always been an animal lover ever since I was a child! A fun little backstory about me...most teenagers get jobs to have money to go to the mall or whatever it is that they want to do, well my goal was to save up all the money I made and get my own puppy. That was one of the best things I ever did, I had her for 16 years. Other than having dogs all my life, I also have kennel technician and veterinary assistant experience. Before I moved back to North Carolina, I was working the front desk at a non profit animal hospital. I feel that I am a very genuine and good hearted person. I am willing to walk/jog/run/play fetch, honestly, I will do pretty much anything to make them happy while you’re away and would love to build a relationship with your fur baby!! I’m a stay at home mom, so my schedule is pretty open every day!♥️. It’s just my 4 year old and I until about 4pm Monday-Friday, so as long as your fur baby is good with kids anytime from early morning until then works! After 4 I have open availability without him (incase your baby isn’t good with kids). My weekends are generally 100% open so I’d love to help in any way that I can! Hope to hear from you!! 🤗 I can care for your pet(s) in my home or yours. Whichever you prefer. I promise I will always make sure that they feel comfortable, loved, and happy.

About: Since I was 10, I've always loved watching and caring for dogs and other animals. I started by helping neighbors with their pets—feeding them, taking them for walks, and making sure they felt safe and happy while their owners were away. Over the years, I've learned to understand animals' moods and needs, whether they're playful, shy, or anxious. This experience has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to create a calm environment for pets. Because of this, I would be a great sitter—I know how to keep animals comfortable and cared for, making sure they get the attention and love they deserve when their owners can't be there. No matter the animal i’ll be there for them! I worked at a pet store for over a year which taught me a lot about any sort of animals and their health. Since I already have a puppy with my own schedule, i’m totally used to juggling pet care! I know how to fit feeding, walks, playtime, and rest into my day, so adding care for another pet would just be a bit of extra love and attention. My experience with my own pup means i’m great at keeping routines steady and making sure every animal feels cared for. It fits naturally into my schedule because im already a pro at managing a furry friend’s needs! Besides my pup, I balance that’s with a box turtle, two hedgehogs, three leopard geckos, two cats, and at my parents house I take care of their two dogs, and two fresh water fish tanks. I can take care of animals in lots of ways depending on what they need. Whether it’s walking them to make sure they get exercise and fresh air, house sitting so they have company and someone to watch over them, or just stopping by to check on them to feed, play, and give them attention, I’m ready to help. I understand how important it is to keep their routine consistent and make sure they feel safe and loved while their owners are away.
“I cannot say enough good things about Haley! My pup was quite shy when I first rescued him, and she was so patient with him (and now they’re best buds). She has incredible attention to detail, and always lets me know when she notices something off about my dog, i.e. stool consistency or feeling tired. She is professional, responsive, and an excellent groomer. She also takes the cutest photos of my dog and gives me lovely updates of each walk. Our lives are so much sweeter with Haley’s care!”

“Nicole is amazing! I can definitely tell that my dog Maxi loved her since day one! She is always on time and very communicative. Recommended 100%. She provided pictures each visit and my dog was so happy in each pictures which made us feel relieved. Once Again, thank you! And we are definitely booking again next month .”
About: Hi 🐾 My name is Juliana, and I’m a passionate and reliable pet caregiver with a strong background in animal care. I graduated from NC State with a degree in Animal Science, where I built a solid foundation in animal health, behavior, and welfare. I also spent two years working at a veterinary hospital, where I gained hands on experience caring for dogs and cats in a professional setting. During that time, I assisted with handling all different kinds of breeds, monitoring their health, and making sure they felt safe and comfortable, especially in stressful situations. This taught me how to read animal behavior, respond calmly, and provide attentive, compassionate care to each unique animals needs. I pride myself on being dependable, communicative, and genuinely attentive to each pet’s unique needs and personality. You can feel confident knowing your pet will receive safe, loving, and personalized care while you’re away, along with plenty of updates and peace of mind for you as I would want for my own pet! Right now, I’m in a transition period before shipping out for the Air Force, and I’d love to spend that time doing something I genuinely enjoy—caring for animals. Whether it’s pet sitting, dog walking, or just giving your pet some extra love and attention, I treat every animal as if they were my own. As a pet sitter, I prioritize the safety, trust, and environment of every pet that I care for, whether they are in my own home or in the client's home. When caring for a pet in the client's home, I take the time to thoroughly assess the environment and identify any potential hazards or risks. I make sure that the pet has access to fresh water, food, and a comfortable space to rest. Overall, my approach to caring for pets is centered on creating a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment that promotes their well-being and happiness.

About: I have hands-on experience raising my own dog, Bentley, who is just over a year old. Taking care of him has taught me patience, consistency, and how to understand a dog’s needs at every stage. We spend a lot of time going on walks, playing ball, and playing tug-of-war, so I’m very comfortable keeping dogs active, engaged, and happy. What sets me apart is the genuine care I have for every animal I look after. I don’t just “watch” pets—I make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I’m attentive to routines, good at reading behavior, and I always take the time to build trust with each pet so they can relax and have fun. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I already care for my own dog, Bentley. I’m used to planning my day around walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and making sure he gets plenty of attention. I have a flexible schedule, so I can easily include additional pets and give them the same level of care, time, and consistency. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for, no matter where they are. In my home, I keep a clean, pet-friendly space with plenty of room to play and relax. I stick to their usual routine for feeding, walks, and sleep so they feel at ease, and I always supervise playtime. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions closely to keep things consistent for their pet. I pay attention to behavior, make sure they’re secure at all times, and give them lots of love and attention. My goal is to build trust with both you and your pet so you can feel confident they’re in good hands.

About: I've been an animal lover all of my life. I had cats for most of my childhood and early adulthood. They were my best buddies who cuddled and slept with me, as well as posed for drawings and paintings. About 18 years ago I adopted a pit mix, named Humble. He was the most gentle giant you could ever meet. He accompanied me on camping and hiking trips in Maine. He passed away a few years ago. Now I'm the lucky mom of a rescue dog named Chance. He is an 8 year old undetermined breed. He may be a Doxie mixed with Papillion. I rescued him from the streets of China. I was working as an ESL teacher in Shenzhen,China at the time. He is one of my best friends and I spoil him with lots of love, treats and walks. I am a certified yoga teacher, artist and pet care provider. I started out pet sitting as a side business to earn some extra money, but it has become so much more than that. It is such a rewarding job and a great honor to care for so many beautiful animals! I will take great care of your fur babies and your home. You can have peace of mind with me as your pet sitter. I can't wait to meet you and your pets! I am usually available most week days and weekends ( except the ones marked off my calendar), for house sitting and drop in visits. I can walk your dogs and keep the house and yard picked up during my stays. I will spoil your pets with lots of love and attention Safety is always my first priority. I never leave pets unattended outside, make sure harnesses and collars are secure during walks, and never feed them anything but their food. I will give them your treats if you give me permission. I also make sure the floors and rugs if the home are kept clean and that their is nothing dangerous around that they could eat .. I am Extra careful!
“Samantha responded to my request less than 30 min. My dogs didn't know she was showing up and on their first meeting both of my dogs started wagging their tails and greeted her with love and Samantha instantly returned the love even before I was seen. Lol. This immediately told me how she would be with my babies. They loved her and felt very comfortable. I'm glad I chose Samantha to help care for my babies. She has a great attitude and lots of love to give. She made my babies smile! That is very important to me. When I need care again, she will be my first pick. ?. Thank you very much Samantha!”

About: I've cared for all kinds of animals throughout my life from my own animals to my friends and families. I always was the first of my siblings to volunteer to help feed, walk, watch over, bathe, and learn about animals and it's since been a passion of mine. I work part-time so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets in my free time. I the sweetest cat,Olly, so I definitely get creative with indoor/outdoor activities. I have a variety of cat toys that your animal will have access to (depending on your preferences), puzzles and home made interactive games so your pup will constantly be entertained and hopefully tuckered out when returning home!

So I’m available all day before then and after I get out at 8pm! Also can be available if needed more! Very flexible! I will care for them however you specify your needs are! About: I’ve taken care of quite a few of close friends pets. Cats, Dogs, etc. I have such a big heart for all animals. I hope I can be a great fit for you and your family members.🐶🐱 I’m currently working part time. Looking to stay busy and do something I love! Pets are the best additions to our families and I find it very important to keep them feeling loved and occupied! I have a fenced in back yard, I keep them fed (3 times a day) , teach them tricks, give a ton of cuddles, and care for their every need to the best of my ability!
About: I have plenty of experience caring for pets of my own, as well as volunteering at the local SPCA. Feeding, bathing, grooming, walking, playing, etc. I have one dog of my own, and had one prior who was handicapped and paralyzed, so I have decent experience. I am good to work with any breed or size of dog. I am pretty decently flexible, as I work mornings from 5:30-10, and then anytime after I am 100% free 7 days a week! Feeding, bathing, grooming, walking, playing, simply spending time with, etc. in client’s home for in-home visits. Depending on the task, I can do almost anything needed.
About: I have worked at a veterinary office for the past 9 years as a kennel tech and a veterinary assistant. I adore all animals and have tons of experience with them. I have animals of my own but always love getting to spend time with others and getting to know others. I have experience with special needs pets, aggressive pets, pets who need extra medical attention, etc. I’d love to get to know your fur baby too! :) I work in the pet care industry daily and want to provide my skills and knowledge to those who need care for their pets while they are away! I live on 5 acres and have the capacity to crate pets if the need arises. All of my pets are more than friendly with other pets, and have been trained specially to be that way.
About: I obtained my Masters degree from LR in occupational therapy and love to coach sports in my spare time. I moved to Elizabeth City for a job almost 3 years ago. I am looking to make some money doing something I love in my spare time. I have owned dogs my entire life (currently have 2 rescues) one of them is a sassy, sweet, 6-yr old rescue named Skye and the other one my parents now have is Storm a 1 1/2-yr old lab/husky mix! I love to be around dogs, just playing with them brightens my days! I will treat your dog as if he/she were my own and give them a good time whether it be with a nice long relaxing walk, or playing fetch/tug till we're both tired :) Hope you'll trust me with your furry family member because I'd love to get to know them, while also helping you as the owner out while you're away. I am currently working full time during the week M-F and coaching on the side in the evenings. Coaching is almost over, so I will have additional availability coming soon. Currently open for weekend drop in visits or walks! I have a dog who I play with and take on walks almost daily so pet care is important! As a dog owner myself, I will work hard to make sure your dog feels comfortable and safe, while having fun and getting some exercise in!

About: Your animals will love coming back to me, I’ve grown up with dogs multiple from every breed cocker spaniel, dachshund, labs you name it I’ve had one and although we aren’t in a spot to have one of our own we love the idea of having there company around because they are a mans best friend. About: I've been taking care of dogs my entire life. I have experience with large, medium, and small dogs. I have experience with rescues that have special needs, puppies, as well as senior care. I’m happy to specialize each experience for max comfort for your pup. I have a remote job and am flexible with scheduling around your pups needs. There are times when I am unavailable but I will always have any walks, visits or day cares scheduled accordingly . I have a corgi mix of my own that goes on walks and potty breaks at a regular schedule. I have a fenced yard and a friendly corgi mix to keep any pups company. I do not have a crate but if provide one I have no problem if that is better for your pup.
