“We are always impressed with David. He is our go-to person on Rover for our dog. Our dog is a husky and is given plenty of time romping around in the yard. David often takes the dogs to a neighbors fenced in land and just lets the dogs run and explore in a safe environment. There’s even a small pond for them to splash and swim in. in addition, our dog is safely socialized as David will typically keep 2-3 dogs at a time and makes sure the dogs are staying are all friendly and compatible.”

“Teresa is so pleasant. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing our doggy was in good hands. I was happy to see the huge yard that the dogs could run and play. Definitely a 5 star sitter.”

“I wanna say thank you to Lauren she was really sweet. She was really nice. she took care of my dog really well. She had a great time beginning. She was shy but after that, she had a fun time. I’m so happy for her. I can see my dog. She had a great time she made Friend she slept. I will say Lauren is the best pet-sitter. And hopefully during the future, I wouldn’t love for her taking care of my dog again.”

“Katrin is so good with my anxious Wes. She’s super communicative with me, always sending pics & vids. She even added in an extra day of care when my flight got delayed.”

“Once again, Erin and Dave have gone above and beyond while taking care of my pup. My dog was well taken care of, loved like their own, and Erin was very responsive during the entire stay. My pooch loves staying with Erin and Dave, it’s her own little vacation!”

“Alex was wonderful. Marvel seems so happy with him! He was a great communicator and offered me a lot of flexibility when my travel plans changed a little. Highly recommend and will be using him again next time I’m in town!”

“So glad we found a comfortable option for boarding our dogs. It’s so nice to have them in a family environment with other friendly dogs to play with. Mary was very easy to communicate with and sent us pictures while we were on our trip.”

“Tracy was so warm and welcoming. My pup felt comfortable with her right away. She sent daily pic updates; which we really appreciated. I felt secure knowing my fur baby was being well taken care of and receiving lots of attention ☺️”

“Awesome sitter! Definitely will book again in the future. Compared to most sitters, I could definitely tell from pictures of his stay that my pup was much happier with Miyu! She was able to provide him with the perfect amount of attention.”

“Kenan and Kayleigh were so amazing. This was the first ever time our pups stayed with someone other than family. They provided updates regularly and really worked to make sure our dogs were comfortable, despite one of them having major anxiety. Thank you so much for everything!!!”

“We were very pleased with our dog's care over a 10 day stay! She looks healthy. She looks happy! We were given constant updates and pictures and kept apprised as to how she was doing. We have lived in this area for a year so we knew nobody regarding dog boarding. I'm so thankful for the care that our dog was given while we were away. I would definitely use Scott C. again for the exceptional service and consideration of our dog.”

“Britteny was absolutely wonderful with our two dogs. She got back to me immediately when I requested last minute, was super friendly and responsive, and even let our dogs sleep in her bedroom with her! Usually when I pick them up after they have been boarded they are a little “off” for a few days, but they are perfectly normal and happy this time. I highly recommend!”

“Amanda took such amazing care of our Winston. We never had to worry once because she was so incredibly proactively communicating and sending pictures. Over the moon pleased with Winston staying in Amanda’s care, will absolutely be a returning client!”

About: I have loved dogs since before my parents finally fulfilled my Christmas wish for a puppy when I was five. Since then, dogs have been a constant in my life and a crucial source of joy and fulfillment. Over the last decade I embraced the adult side of dog love by regularly dog sitting for friends and family and eventually adopting a dog of my own. Dogs have always been one of the best parts of my life and I look forward to meeting yours! I don't have a formal dog training certification, but I think my dog Rafiki would gladly give me one. I adopted Rafiki 7 years ago and he is wonderful. His special talents include spinning his tail like a helicopter and being the first dog that 'non-dog-lovers' actually enjoy. He was not always such a dream though. When he was a puppy he had all sorts of terrible habits that I won't get into (RIP tv remotes, shoes, untoppled drinks). I decided that I needed some help with this adorable rambunctious puppy and signed him up for day camp training with a trainer in Durham. Every day when I picked him up, the trainer would spend 30 minutes to an hour teaching me how to work with Rafiki. He taught me a million things and really opened my eyes on how interact with dogs, how to read their body language, and how to best communicate with them. Though I’m no expert, I’d be happy to reinforce any training or problem-solving you’re working on with your pup. I am also happy to just spend some quality time together making sure their time away from you is fun, safe and enriching. I would love the chance to take your pup on some walks and adventures while giving you the peace of mind of knowing they are in good hands! I have a flexible schedule that allows plenty of time for pet care. I like to stay active and enjoy hikes and walks with our furry friends. My dog is able to come in and out as he pleases. We have a fenced in yard (front and back) with plenty of room to play.

“She was great with Chase; she kept me updated every day—sending me photos and updates on his behavior. Chase was very happy with her. I would definitely contact her again. Thanks, Rihanna.”

“Misty was really great with my cat while I was away for the holidays :) She sent me daily updates and photos and was all I could have asked for! I was nervous leaving town, but she definitely helped minimize the stress of it for me. Super appreciative!”

“We love Ashley! She has been our pet sitter for the past few years. She sends pictures and gives us updates with each visit. Our pets are always loved and well taken care of.”

“Teresa did a wonderful job taking care of our menagerie for a week while we were gone. We have 1 dog, 3 cats, chickens, a bunny and fish tanks, which can be a lot for some pet sitters, but Teresa did a great job. Will continue to use her for future trips :)”
“The absolute BEST! So great with my cat. She sent updates, got great pictures, and it was clear my cat loved her. She really took the time every day to show some love to and take care of her. I felt so much better being away because of the AMAZING job Kristen did. I cannot wait to book her again! 10/10 recommend”

“This was the longest I’ve ever left my cat, Jack, and I honestly could not have asked for a better sitter. Jack is extremely shy and nervous around new people, so I was very anxious about leaving him, but Nicholas was incredibly patient, kind, and understanding with him from the start. Within just a few days, Jack completely warmed up to him, which honestly says everything. I received beautiful daily pictures and videos, and it was so reassuring seeing how comfortable, happy, and loved Jack was while I was away. Because of that, I was truly able to relax and enjoy my vacation knowing he was in such great hands. I came home to a very happy cat, and I’m so grateful for the care and attention Jack received. I would absolutely recommend Nicholas to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and reliable pet sitter.”

“Viridianne continues to be truly amazing! She is incredibly attentive to detail and takes such great care of my cat every time I’m away. I always feel at ease knowing she’s looking after him, and I can tell how much she genuinely cares. She goes above and beyond, and I couldn’t ask for a better sitter. I’m so grateful to have found her and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and compassionate to care for their pets. Thank you Viridianne!”

About: I've had animals ever since I can remember. Big, small, smaller, just about anything you can think of I've had. I take pride in making sure all animals around me are happy and cared for. I can care for dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, and any small animal from hamsters to bunnies. I'm currently searching for a part-time job, so I will have plenty of time to take care of your animals. I love to be around animals, more than people. So, I've got time to take long walks and excellent care of all your animals. I always take my pups out on a leash. They are trained to go into their crates when we leave. All of my animals get plenty of exercise, lots of toys, and all my love. I can assure you I'll take extra special care of your animals, just like I do mine.
About: Hi there, everyone! Please scroll to the bottom and read our policies before booking! But before you go, let us tell you about ourselves! We offer the most unique experience for your pets, allowing them to have their own getaway when you have things come up in life. Whether that is planned vacations or when life likes to kick you down, we are here to offer a boarding experience like no other. My family and I have always owned dogs; I grew up with them and trained them all my life. Our family is also part of a rescue. So what better way to use our land than to also take care of other people's dogs! We are located in the northern part of Alamance County. We offer 98 acres of land with several walking trails next to a flowing creek, a clean and swimmable pond with a shallow area, a gated outside area with separate runners for the cool days with a nice breeze, and an inside area with luxury crates equipped with barn doors and beds inside of them for all of our furry visitors to relax and feel right at home! Here at our farm called The Retreat, we want your pet to have their own getaway while you have your own getaway! Currently, we are usually available 24 hours a day for your pet. I work from home as a bookkeeper and as a Realtor, so I’m usually here working from home unless I’m running to show a home. While I’m out, I have my wife and the rest of my family to cover my spot until I return. So, your pet should always have someone here to care for them! Here, your pet will always have someone to care for them throughout the day, so you can trust they are in the best of hands. We also understand that it’s a lot of land, so we offer clip-on air tags for your dog's collar while they stay here for extra safety and surveillance. It is our goal for our furry guests to have a safe and stimulating environment at all times during their stay!

“What an absolutely amazing experience. My cat was care for, loved on, and I received so many wonderful pictures. I’m always nervous to leave her since she has separation anxiety but she was calm and happy when I got home like I was never gone! Will definitely be using them as my pet sitter from here on out!!”

“Fred had a long-term stay with David and his family while we were in the middle of a cross-country move. He had a meow-velous time and was returned to us happy and with new toys. Dave's kids treated him like one of their own and Fred loved his time with them. We were so relieved to have a comfortable, caring home-away-from-home so gave us piece of mind so that we could concentrate on selling our house, packing it up, waiting for the new house, move in and unpack -- a two-month process that avoided a lot of trauma for our cat and worrying for us. So happy that Dave was such a good fit!”

About: I have taken care of my friends and neighbors pets countless times while they were away. I have also owned two dogs since I was twelve so I'm really great with pets! I am currently a stay at home wife so I have lots of flexibility! I will make sure your animals get the best care ever! Although, I am not able to care for pets in my own home I can take care of them in yours. I enjoy going to local parks and being outside so I would love to be outside with your pet.

About: I've always loved cats. I had cats growing up in New York, a house full of cats. My mother was allergic to cats so until she passed I wasn't able to have any cats of my own. But now we have two cats. I watch them when my family's out of town. I feed them breakfast and dinner. I play with them. I pet them. I love on them and most importantly I treat every cat with the upmost respect like they are little people.

Currently I have a pug, Pixie. I have had guinea pigs, hamsters, bearded dragons, turtles and cats before. Currently I work part time and have lots of extra time for walks. I am very flexible with changes if you need to add more visitis. I offer visits to your home, 30 minute and 60 minute walks, and transportation services. “Was lucky enough to find a family who treated Lily as well as they did. Teresa was always available and when my schedule changed she was accommodating with last minute changes. Lots of outdoor play and she would send me updates throughout her stay. If I am ever in the area again I will 100% look her up to watch Lily.”

“Tori and Zachary watched our dog for the day at their home. He fit in great with their own dogs. He loved running around a fenced in backyard, and came home nice and tired. We will gladly use them again.”

“David was a really really great sitter for my dog. He took him out to play with his dog and they had a wild time and barely wanted to come back home with me. I think he’s going to need the day to recover. He’s a really friendly guy and seems to really care about getting the dogs what they need.”

“Scott is a great sitter for us, and Blue really enjoys visiting him. I requested a doggy daycare day, and he responded quickly to let me know he would be available. I love working with Scott on Rover; it is convenient and easy.”
“Kenan was willing to take my dog with short notice and was very responsive to messages. He provided pictures and a video. He has a great set up that allows the dogs some shade outside, even on hot days. When I picked up my dog she was smiling and even went to say goodbye to Kenan. It's obvious that the dogs like him and are being well taken care of.”

“David was great with our 12 week puppy! Super awesome communication and very understanding of our anxiety as new puppy parents. Percy came home tired and happy. He cannot wait to go back!”

About: For nearly 20 years, caring for animals has been one of my greatest joys. I have 19 years of pet care experience, including 15 years as a devoted cat owner, and currently care for a flock of chickens and an angora rabbit on our peaceful two-acre woodland property. I offer boarding and doggy daycare in a calm, home-based environment where dogs can enjoy plenty of supervised outdoor time, new scents to explore, and lots of individual attention. Our chickens are securely fenced in their own area, and our rabbit is safely housed in the garage, allowing visiting pets to relax comfortably in their own space. I understand that every pet is unique. Whether your dog loves adventure and play or prefers a quiet place to nap, I’ll work to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. For cat owners, I also offer home visits so your feline friends can stay happy and stress-free in the comfort of their own home. When your pet stays with me, they’re treated like family—not just a booking. You’ll receive attentive care, regular updates, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing your pet is in experienced, caring hands. Pet care is naturally woven into our daily life. As a homeschooling family, I have the flexibility to provide attentive care, supervision, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day rather than leaving pets alone for long stretches. We live on a peaceful two-acre woodland property and maintain a home where animals are loved, respected, and considered part of the family. Caring for animals is already part of our routine, from tending our flock of chickens to caring for our angora rabbit. My wife and I are proud to provide a welcoming, inclusive environment for all families, including LGBTQ+ families, and we strive to create a safe, respectful space for everyone. Our 8½-year-old daughter is a budding farmer and fellow animal lover who has grown up helping care for animals with kindness and respect. Together, we’ve created a home environment where pets receive plenty of attention, affection, and engagement. Because I work from home and homeschool, I’m able to adapt to each pet’s needs and schedule, helping them feel comfortable, secure, and right at home during their stay. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. We have a spacious, open home with no indoor pets, allowing visiting dogs to settle in comfortably and enjoy plenty of personal attention. Our property spans two peaceful wooded acres, providing a calm environment away from busy roads and heavy traffic. Our resident animals—a flock of chickens and an angora rabbit—are securely housed in separate fenced or enclosed areas and do not interact with visiting pets. We also maintain a fenced garden area, helping ensure clear boundaries throughout the property. While our yard is not fully fenced, all outdoor time is carefully supervised. Dogs will be leashed during walks and outdoor adventures, and I closely monitor all activity to ensure their safety. Guests can enjoy plenty of fresh air, woodland strolls, sniffing opportunities, exercise, and enrichment while remaining under attentive supervision. For in-home cat visits, I follow each family’s instructions carefully, maintain your cat’s routine, and ensure your home is left secure after every visit. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I believe safety starts with attentive supervision, clear communication, and treating every animal as if they were my own.

“Misty is truly amazing and really proactive with our pups. Truly a professional. We had a toenail issue during one visit and she sent me photos so I took Wolfie to the vet to get evaluated and Misty later texted to see how he was doing post-visit. The injury was his fault…chasing a squirrel and lost footing in the gravel. I know some people may find it odd to use this app but it’s legit. We receive texting and picture notifications with report cards during each visit. You won’t regret it! :-)”

“Banjo LOVES his afternoon walks with Ashley! She picks him up and takes him for a walk around the neighborhood. He gets his exercise and gets to check out the neighborhood. We love using Rover and Ashley while we're at work. She sends us photos from their walks and Banjo's excited face says it all!”

Currently, I have two dogs (Jack Russells who are 2 and 8 yrs old) of my own that I have raised since they were both 8 weeks old. I have knowledge in feeding, medication management, daily exercise, enrichment activities such as tricks, routine care (bathing animals), hygiene maintenance, potty training, and as always, I strive to have strong, reliable communication with owners of your furry friends! I specialize in cats and dogs BUT if you are need of services for another animal, please dont hesitate to reach out as I am willing to help, learn whatever I need to, and give some extra love to your pet! AFTER August 10th, all services will be unavailable until December as I return to school outside of the area. Please do NOT book past August 10th. Thanks so much for understanding! ☺️ Mon-Sun: 8am-2:30pm (schedule varies but I will try my best to work something out with you!!) Meet and Greets: Scheduled meetings BEFORE desired sitting dates; I come to your home to get to know you, your fur babies, and the required schedule/rules. (I leave this up to the client's preference but I usually recommend it!) (CAN provide services before/after hours when requested!!) *AFTER August 10th, all services will be unavailable until December as I return to school outside of the area. Please do NOT book past August 10th.* Thanks so much for understanding! ☺️ As I previously mentioned, I have two dogs (both Jack Russells) of my own that are 2 and 8 years old. I strive to maintain a clean space and comfortable for my pets where they can relax and follow their usual routines with no worries. I maintain consistent feeding schedules, provide daily exercise and playtime, and ensure their safety by always supervising. They have designated rest areas (although I do allow animals on furniture), plenty of enrichment activities/toys, and lots of affection of course! I also have a large yard where my dogs love to run around and play with toys (when outside, they are always supervised) and a quiet neighborhood that is perfect for walks! I am always keeping my eyes on them, making sure they are healthy, eating/drinking, and exercising correctly. In a clients home is a bit different as this is not my personal space. I tend to follow the routine/schedule exactly as written and complete the usual duties such as feeding, walking, playtime, waste/litter cleanup, etc. I keep the home clean, ensure safety over the property and animals, and provide regular updates and photos to owners during each visit. I always double check and make sure all pets are comfortable, safe, and have everything they need in their space before I leave.

About: Animals are my life! I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. My experience in Pet Care is from having my own pets and caring for family, friends and volunteering over the years. I treat you fur baby as my own and give them lots of attention.

“So professional and helpful!! Highly recommend! David really went above and beyond, taking JuneBug on a nice long walk down along the river, and including lots of photos of her smiling face.”

About: I love animals, I had a Yorkie for 10 years and he was my best friend. I trained my dog and he was so independent. I'm currently working part time as a personal care Aide. My schedule is prey flexible. And gives me plenty of time to love on some animals. I have plenty of yard for our fur friends to play. And a nice neighborhood for a nice walk. I also have two children who love pets

About: I treat every dog like family—lots of love, attention, and a routine that keeps them comfortable and stress-free. I have experience with both energetic puppies (helping reinforce potty training, basic commands, and structure) and senior dogs who need a little extra care, patience, and sometimes medication support. I’m very attentive and pick up quickly on each dog’s personality and needs. Plus, I keep you updated with pictures and check-ins so you never have to wonder how your pup is doing! Pet care is intentionally built into my daily and weekly schedule so I can provide consistent, high-quality attention without ever feeling rushed. I block off time specifically for each pet to ensure they receive the care, exercise, and interaction they’re used to at home. My routine is designed to prioritize reliability, flexibility, and a calm, structured environment—so your dog experiences stability, not disruption. I provide care that keeps your pet’s routine as consistent and stress-free as possible, whether in my home or yours. In your home, I respect your space and follow your pet’s established schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions, including medications. In my home, I create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where pets receive plenty of attention, supervised care, and a calm routine. I’m mindful of each dog’s personality—whether they need more activity, structure, or a quieter setting. My goal is always the same: your pet feels secure, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.
About: I grew up on a farm taking care of all kinds of animals! I took care of cows, horses, pigs, goats, chickens, quails, frogs, dogs, cats, snakes, lizards, hamsters and rats! I have always been a major animal lover and continue to be! I love spending time with my pets and for my friends and families pets too! I currently am remote Purchasing Associate for a national dermatology company. My shifts are usually about 5 hours long, which gives me lots of time to spend with the fur friends. I usually run my dog in the morning and evening, and spend time with her at the park and other places I go to. Sometimes Cardi, Boat and I just like to hang out in the yard and have a cup of coffee! I often take walks and go to the park and many other places. When I pet sit for my friends and family I work with what they have in their home. At my home I also have a long lead so they can safely play in the yard!

About: I have raised many different types of dogs for 15+ years. For the last 5 years, I have housed many different animals in need. I have trained puppies, as well as nervous, and abused dogs. I make sure my home is a very welcome environment for animals of all kinds. Like my husband likes to say, I want a petting zoo in life. I currently work part-time in a pawn shop and full time mom to an adorable little toddler. We love being able to be around and care for animals as much as we can. I go on holidays maybe once or twice a year so I’m always around willing to help train or even just be a companion to your furry friend while you’re away I have an open yard with plenty of space to run around. I also have crates within the house just in case they need to be crated too. I have 3 adult dogs that roam free and are very friendly, as well as 3 puppies, and a 2 cats inside my house as well too. But it’s very rare my cats will come out during the day if I’m housing a dog inside.

“She did a fantastic job looking after our puppy, Thor. She was very patient and treated him like a member of her own family. I’m grateful for all the photos and videos she sent me. 100% recommended.”

“Grace was amazing with my three dogs, two of which are disabled. They are my world and she was amazing. Highly highly recommend Grace. Use her if you need someone to watch your dogs. Better than any kennel. Beautiful property and I trust her. Will use again. You should too.”

“Randy was amazing!! He and my dog were so great together! I received plenty of pics and updates about our pup while we were away! Amazing sitter and really cool human! Will definitely reach out to him the next time we travel.”

“Nova had a great time with Shawn and Charles! Their backyard was perfect for her to get out all of her energy with a chuck-it, and there were large windows to lazily gaze out while relaxing around. They went above and beyond for Nova’s water-dog tendencies by allowing her to splash in the bath after getting hot. She also came home with some homemade treats! 🥰”
