A few days before the stay, they invited me over for a meet-and-greet so I could get a feel for their home, meet them, and introduce my dog to their sweet pup, Lana. The moment I walked in, I knew they were the right people. Their space was welcoming, safe, and dog-friendly, and their kind energy instantly put me at ease. Throughout the stay, they went above and beyond. They sent frequent updates and lots of pictures, which made me smile every time. It was so comforting to see my dog happy, relaxed, and having a blast with Lana. Moose is an older Shitzu mix, with cataracts and is hard of hearing, but Brody gave him extra love, during his week long stay, and sent photos and videos. I’ve been around animals my entire life, from growing up with dogs and cats to caring for my own pets throughout adulthood. I’ve also had German Shepherds for the past 10 years, so I’m very comfortable with big dogs, big personalities, and dogs who need someone confident handling them. I especially love big dogs and am comfortable with large or intimidating breeds. I also grew up riding and caring for horses, including having my own horse and caring for them from fifth grade through high school, so I’ve always been very comfortable around larger animals. I own my home on an acre of land with a large, fenced backyard, so dogs staying with me have plenty of space to play, sniff, explore, or just relax. There are no shared walls or homes packed right up against us, which makes for a pretty peaceful environment. I also work for myself, which means I have a flexible schedule and can spend a lot of time at home with your pets. I’m happy to follow their normal routines, give them plenty of attention and enrichment, and send lots of photo updates along the way. My goal is for your dog to feel like they’re having a little vacation of their own while you’re away. 🐾 If you’re looking for someone who will treat your dog like one of their own (I only board ONE guest dog at a time!), I’d love to meet you both! I work for myself and primarily work remotely from home, so I have a very flexible schedule and am home most of the day. If I need to step out for work, it’s usually only for a few hours, and I’m never far from home. I also love being outside, so if your dog is an adventure dog, I’m always happy to have a hiking or outdoor buddy! For dogs who prefer to stay closer to home, my large, fully fenced yard gives them plenty of space to play, sniff, and enjoy some fresh air without needing to go anywhere. I’m happy to match your dog’s routine and personality, whether they want an active day of walks and outdoor adventures or a quieter day of backyard time, naps, and lounging around the house. Safety, trust, and creating a comfortable environment are my top priorities when caring for a dog. I know that being in a new home with a new person can be stressful, so I’m patient and give each dog time to settle in and get comfortable at their own pace. I also have personal experience caring for a reactive dog, so I understand the importance of paying attention to body language, respecting boundaries, and being proactive about potential triggers. If a dog is comfortable and enjoys other dogs, I’m happy to gradually introduce them to my German Shepherd, Klaus. If they prefer their own space, my home has plenty of room to keep dogs comfortably separated when needed. About: What sets me apart from other sitters is that I have been taking care of animals since I was 15 years old. I stared working at a vets office and haven’t looked back. Pet care can look like many different things in my week such as, a single feeding, a walk, a check in or the full on in home service with all the feedings and all the walks. While, I would love to have every dog and cat over to my house I can’t realistically do that b/c I own a cat who does love other cats and she tolerates dogs, your dog or cat would have to be cat friendly. I love when my friend's pets get excited to see me because I equally share their joy! Dogs: I have always loved dogs and had at least 1 since childhood until a few years ago sadly. The automatic baby voice comes out when I see and talk to a dog. I have found myself spending more time with the dogs than the humans at gatherings sometimes and I appreciate those moments. I love all breeds and sizes! When seeing a new dog in passing, I ask each owner if it’s okay for me to “say hi”/pet their fur baby because all are different with different personalities and life experiences. I listened to many behavioral podcasts along with my research to understand their uniqueness, and now I deeply appreciate and understand wholeheartedly the love earned from such individual little creatures. My kitties are my shadows, I never use the restroom alone. They have taught me so much and I love the unique personality that I find in each one of them. I know how important it is to respect their space (especially if they're more standoffish) and ensure they have all their resources, especially when their humans are away! Currently working my own flexible schedule so I can make any time work that your fur baby needs. Some pets are used to early mornings and some are used to late evenings. Whatever works for yours! My kitties eat raw, so I make their food daily and give them specific supplements and treats depending on their behavior and the litterbox situation. I'm in tune with my kitty's behaviors and meows knowing what they're requesting in that moment. When caring for other people's pets, I'm mindful of where we use the bathroom (if possible) and clean up appropriately. No details are too many, I'm very supportive of specific needs and how your fur baby may be familiar with their care.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is that I have been taking care of animals since I was 15 years old. I stared working at a vets office and haven’t looked back. Pet care can look like many different things in my week such as, a single feeding, a walk, a check in or the full on in home service with all the feedings and all the walks.
