We had tried our vet's kennel and even the "luxury" pet kennels, but our dog is a "people" dog, and was definitely traumatized by those places, and it took days for her to get back to our normal dog. Putting my dog in a cage for days is NOT what we wanted. But Maribel was our answer. She loved on Gracie, played with her, texted us with pictures, and when we picked her up, she was not traumatized. About: Hello! Ive taken care of all types of cats both young and old since I was a young teen. Often I was nicknamed the cat whisper by my family as I could befriend any feline no matter how skittish. I am an avid cat lover, as I have two fur babies of my own. I specialize in elderly cat care and understand the extra time, attention, and temperament it requires. I am able to help with distributing medication and cleaning up litter boxes. I will even clip your feline friend’s nails as long as it does not cause them excessive stress. I will always be sure that they have fresh/water and are spoiled with all the cuddles and ear scratches I can provide before I leave. And most especially be prepared for cute kitty photoshoots. Please be aware I require a one week booking notice. And at least 1 met and greet with your fur baby.
About: I have always loved animals. I very much care about their comfort and wellbeing. I’m also always ready for a good puppy or kitty cuddle! I have a pretty open schedule usually. I just need a heads up in advance. For drop ins I usually prefer afternoons, but it’s interchangeable. I can stay with your dog for most of the day usually, if needed. I am able to crate your animals, leash walk only if needed, and keep a close eye on them when going outside. About: I started taking care of the family dog a few years ago. With him, I administered medication in a positive way and helped train him. I am comfortable using a harness and a regular collar. I also helped train my senior dog on his reactivity with positive reinforcement. Currently, I am on summer break. She uses a harness/retractable leash for walks and a collar/retractable leash for short walk around house for fresh air/bathroom break. I am mindful always of any visible items on the floor that may have been dropped and could be of hazard! I also vacuum daily to reach areas under the bed for this reason also. I check that her pet stairs to my bed are placed accordingly to get accessibility to the bed. Food and water are always checked twice daily and located in 2 different parts of the house. Cat- My cat (Baby Muffin) does not try to escape to the outdoors (yet.....), however; as a precaution I rarely open my sliding glass door open largely or for any longer than necessary. I am mindful always of any visible items on the floor that may have been dropped and could be of hazard! I also vacuum daily to reach areas under the bed for this reason also. Food and water are always checked twice daily and located in 2 different parts of the house. I am always aware of her visibility, for example, if she does not appear when I am home or prior to leaving my home; I check for any closed coset doors, cabinets, etc. for a place she may have accidentally been trapped. Trust: Dog-My Westie needs immediate attention and "lovins'" when I walk through the door. Prior to leaving her she is talked to a prepped for me leaving by telling her key statements and then leaving three varieties of chew bones in front of the refrigerator (which she waits for). Trust is provided through routine and consistency. For example, everyday a You Tube video plays a repeating jazz coffee house with ambiance. I also take the measure of saying her name with happy intentions prior to entering my home to ensure she knows it is me at the door. Trust is continuing to repeat the names of her toys daily with playtime and telling her what is happening prior to a walk, etc. or getting close to dinner, bedtime or a ride/walk. Cat-My cat gets talked to immediately when arriving home to ensure she knows just how loved she is! I call her name sweetly and she's petted. She is given cat treats in her special bowl twice a day. At my house, I try to provide trust through routine and consistency. I offer her many places to sleep by herself with her special blankets and provide toys rotated for stimulation (springs, play mice and of course a random paper bag!) Environment: Sallie Mae and Baby Muffin: I have a daily routine where they are give their special treats twice a day, keeping fresh food and water available and rotated, clean bedding for their special sleeping. Our daily routine includes that the TV is left on with YouTube coffee-house jazz ambience and I always provide calming statements of affirmation for them when leaving for the day and again when arriving home. Cat- In the morning, the litterbox is cleaned with scooper and fresh litter is added as needed. I then take that trash out so that litter is not a bad fragrance when returning home. Cat hairballs are discarded as needed and floor area cleaned. Dog- Twice a week I clean a Turf system and relace turfs with clean ones while the others are rinsed and dried. Monthly grooming for her is provided through a mobile service. However; I give Sallie Mae a bath anytime it is needed with special shampoo, tepid warm water with a shower sprayer and then immediately wash and dry her towels that were used.

“I hired Jessica to walk my 25lb corgi/rat-terrier mix on the same day. She responded very quickly and we made a date for late that afternoon. She was punctual and delightful. My pooch fell in love with her quickly. I went over some of my concerns (no use of cells, watch for large truck and bicyclists, etc.) and she listened intently and engaged with me on each topic, which made me sure that she was listening and understood. Then they headed out. My little guy came back tired and very happy. She took a few minutes to debrief with me and we talked about 'next time'. I will definitely be using Jessica again. I highly recommend her.”
About: I’ve cared for pups ever since I can remember. From Beagles to Great Danes to Shih Tzu’s to Miniature Terriers. I love playing with my fur friends. Catch and tug-o-war are my favorites. I also love giving scratches and pampering my four legged friends and just making them feel as special as they truly are! Please be aware I require a one week booking notice. And at least 1 met and greet with your fur baby. Currently I work part time during the week but am available Tuesday mornings and afternoons, as well as all day on weekends! I am occasionally open for drop ins during the week after 5pm or before 10am When in your home I will follow whatever instructions you provide for me to be sure your fur baby is at the upmost comfort. I will be sure they have fresh food or water. I’ll check to see if there are any accidents or signs of anxiety and address that accordingly. Know that if at any time I feel your pet needs extra attention I will be happy to provide that. I will always be sure to send you pictures of your little one when I visit or house sit.
About: Hi! I have always loved working with pets. I have owned pets since I was a child and I have dealt with both cats and dogs. I spent time working at a doggy daycare called Ruff Housing and I got to learn further how to take care of a variety of dog types with a variety of personalities. I look forward to getting to spend some time with your pets and giving them all the love when you can't be there! I currently work from home and get to create my own hours so I will have plenty of time to spend time with your pets or make sure I am able to walk them. I enjoy taking some time to go on walks during the day so I would love to include your pet on them! I have a fenced in yard as well as access to a dog park and walking trail. I have two fur babies that love to play and will keep your pup entertained. I can crate dogs as needed! I am willingly to work with any requests to ensure your fur baby has the best time away from home and is safe and cared for in your absence.

She also fosters a dog and he and my dog got along well, and even tuckered my high energy border collie/aussie mix out. “We found the perfect person to watch our Gracie. MARILBEL was accommodating, sweet, and a natural dog lover. Along with her dog, Molly, Maribel gave Gracie a wonderful few days. We had tried our vet's kennel and even the "luxury" pet kennels, but our dog is a "people" dog, and was definitely traumatized by those places, and it took days for her to get back to our normal dog. Putting my dog in a cage for days is NOT what we wanted. But Maribel was our answer. She loved on Gracie, played with her, texted us with pictures, and when we picked her up, she was not traumatized. She was her happy, normal dog self. We are grateful for Maribel and highly recommend her.”
