Second her background makes her a animal lover (horse ranch manager) Coconut was a very happy guy when I picked him up. I will go to NOONE else in the Yosemite area for dog care. About: Being an animal lover all my years and having at times, two 90+ lb. furbabies of my own from puppy to senior age, I am experienced in dog care. You can rest assured no matter where you are, near or far, you can count on me providing a loving environment, whether in your home or mine. Your furbaby(ies) will get lots of love and attention. Whether you're here or traveling abroad your furbabies are safe and well provided for. Personally, knowing from experience how hard it is to leave a pet in kennel style boarding with barking dogs all day. I'm a stay at home family, looking forward to making extra money while having a nice time together in a kind and loving home. I like to abide by routines to make your pups stay a fun experience that they will look forward to a return stay. Currently, my home has one sweet female dog who is looking for someone to enjoy watching the birds with from out screen porch. Playing in the yard or taking walks for exercise.
“Tia is awesome! My pup’s first overnight and day camp went great. She sent lots of cute pics and the sweetest little write-up of how his stay went. I felt so comfortable leaving my little guy with her, especially after getting to meet the other dogs and seeing how calm and loving she was in her interactions with all of them. We are so grateful that our dog has a safe and nurturing place to socialize, play, and tire himself out! We will definitely be back and he can’t wait 😊”

“Mary was so wonderful with my boys! They’re usually really nervous around new people, but she made them feel so comfortable and took really good care of them. Mary sent me regular pictures and updates which I really appreciated. They seemed to have a great time at her place and got along well with her sweet dogs.”

“Our dog normally exhibits some separation anxiety but when we left him to board with Summer he adjusted well. Her family gave him plenty of attention and he enjoyed playing with their dog. The photo updates and good night messages were very thoughtful. I appreciated the communication since our dog is not often out of our sight. I have full confidence in Summer and will definitely be a repeat customer.”

“Amazing pet sitter — highly recommended! She accommodated our last-minute request and took such great care of our puppy. Our puppy looked so happy, comfortable, and well taken care of the entire time. She was wonderful to work with, very caring, and gave us peace of mind while we were away. Definitely an amazing sitter, and we would absolutely book with her again!”

“Megan is such a wonderful dog sitter. Her love for dogs shines through and when we picked up Penny, Megan gave us feedback on the stay and how everything went. Penny was obviously comfortable with her and now I know we have a knowledgeable, trustworthy person we can count on to care for our dog when we are out of town.”

“Amanda was great. She accepted Whinehead at the last minute and even picked him up. We had a time delay so she worked with us on that. Would definitely recommend! Seemed like after a few hours Whinehead warmed up to her. He doesn’t do that to everyone. Thank you Amanda!”

“Michelle is the best and gave JR lots of personal attention. She was easy to accommodate our schedules with drop off and pick up times and kept me updated. She is watching him again while the threat of Dorian approaches. I am confidant he is in good hands during this time. She has a pet emergency plan in place which is comforting.”

“Having Blue stay with Amanda was his first time ever spending a night without us! Amanda was extremely accommodating and so wonderful. She sent some pictures of Blue and her baby Cleo during his stay, and when we had our meet and greet I felt so at ease knowing Blue would be in good hands. It is so apparent that Amanda’s good vibes with animals made Blue’s stay a fun play date instead of a scary experience.”

About: I began my career in pet care over 27 years ago as a professional pet sitter, building a highly successful in-home service. As demand grew, I naturally transitioned into boarding select dogs in my home—an offering that quickly expanded beyond capacity. This growth led me to open and operate three pet hotels over a 25-year period. During that time, I furthered my expertise by becoming a Certified Canine Behavior Specialist and a Certified Fear Free Trainer, allowing me to better support dogs with a wide range of behavioral and emotional needs. In January 2024, I sold my final pet hotel and opened my current Training and Behavior Modification business in Clayton, GA. Over time, many of my training clients expressed interest in having their dogs stay in my home, and I found the experience both rewarding and impactful. As a result, I now offer exclusive in-home boarding as part of my services. My boarding program is intentionally different from traditional facilities. Dogs in my care are treated as members of the family, receiving daily enrichment, structure, and positive reinforcement of appropriate manners. I also offer training opportunities during their stay when appropriate. I specialize in working with anxious, fearful, and hyperexcitable dogs, providing a calm and supportive environment tailored to their needs. Because this is my home, I am selective about the dogs I accept to ensure a safe, harmonious environment for everyone. All dogs must be dog-friendly or neutral, with no history of aggression. Additionally, due to my 4-foot fencing, I am unable to accommodate dogs who are known fence jumpers. I am what you call, semi-retired. I sold my lasts pet hotel and moved to the mountains for a more relaxing lifestyle...which I have found! I make my own schedule and work as little or as much as I want to. My training business keeps me in our local community so I am never far from home. Mornings are always pretty much the same. I wake up around 7, make coffee, get the dogs out, feed the cats their wet food, and then spend some time catching up on training reports. While I'm doing this, I take breaks to let the dogs inside, take the cats remaining food to their feeding station, scoop their boxes and snuggle with them for a bit. Once the cats are taken care of, I prepare my dog's enrichment feeding puzzles and they get some enrichment time. Back to reports. When they are done eating, they get to digest for 30 minutes or so and then we head out for a walk down our beautiful mountain road. I am a strong believer in letting the dogs sniff. We go as far as we can in 30 minutes and then turn around and come back. Some days we make it a mile and a half, others, we only go a half mile. It is totally up to their sniffers. When we come home, everyone is usually beat and ready for a nap. If I have scheduled clients, I get ready and head out to see them. I am generally only gone for a couple hours before returning to let my dogs out for another potty break. This is the time we play outside. My dogs love to run and play with each other but they also love to play fetch. My yard is very large so there is plenty of space to throw a toy to let them run. When we come back in, it is time for cookie games. I like to play a game where as soon as a dog sits, they get a cookie. Mine already know this game and are fast sitters so when dogs visit, they learn how much fun this is too. Once cookies are handed out, we either hang out on the couch for snuggle time while I play games on my phone or if I have an afternoon client, I head out for another couple hours. My evening routine is pretty consistent as well as I am a home body. I love our mountain home and evenings are the best time to go out on the deck, grill up some dinner while the pups run around and then watch the beautiful sunset. I feed the dogs in the same manner as in the a.m. only in bowls this time. After 30 minutes, it back out to potty. My cats always find a way to fit into our daily routine by finding my lap or sitting on my table for head scratches while I do reports. After dinner and sunset, we either continue to hang out on the porch or head inside to relax on the couch until bedtime. Bedtime is around 10 p.m. and the dogs go outside one final time and then get their final cookie of the day. My dogs all sleep in bed with me and once the lights are out, the snoring begins. We have a 2 level home on 4 acres (1 acre fenced in) on the side of a mountain outside of Clayton, GA. Our closest neighbor is hidden up our long driveway behind a thick area of trees and then there is one down the mountain, off to the side. We live on a mountain, gravel road...you can't even see our house from this road due to the thick trees and distance from the road. We live with dogs and cats and our house shows this. Our leather couches are covered with blankets and cat claws have marred all the corners and edges. We have a custom-built cat activity center on our living room walls so the cats can get up high and look out over the mountains. The only carpets in the house are 1. by my bed so I don't step on a cold floor in the morning and 2. in each of the bathrooms for the same reason. We understand that puppies and dogs can have accidents so this house was built with that in mind. Our yard is fenced with 4 foot tall goat fencing which we had professionally installed to assure it is tight with no holes at ground level and at the gates. Dogs are always introduced to our yard by first taking a leashed walk around the perimeter to see how they behave around the fence. Once this is done, we allow the dogs to freely walk around the yard, dragging a long line. We are looking to see if your dog shows any interest in escape through either digging, climbing on the fence, or pushing at the gates. If your dog (new dogs) is only boarding for a few days, they will only go out with the long line on for safety. If they are boarding longer, we will remove the line if they are showing no interest in escape and let them run freely with our dogs. If your dog enjoys walks, they will receive one daily as long as they walk nicely on a leash. If they are hard pullers, I offer training services to help them learn better leash manners so they can be walked with the group. In my home, dogs are allowed as much freedom as possible. I have crates and pens and am happy to use these for management (especially if a puppy isn't house trained yet) as well as when I leave and for sleeping. Each dog is unique so there is no standard rule. All dogs are fed separately. My goal is that your dog feels at home in my home. I want them to have fun and feel safe while you are away so that you can enjoy your time away and not worry about them. My partner is a Veterinarian and so are several of my friends. I hope to never have to use their services but if I do, they are always ready and willing with advice and care. However, if something does happen that requires Vet care, your Vet will be contacted and used if possible. Of course, you will be notified immediately as well. Safety is always my first priority, followed very closely by fun and meeting all daily requirements.
“Frank was GREAT! He provided loving care to Willa. She was happy and spoiled when we returned, just like we wanted. Frank kept in touch with pictures and texts. He is reliable and left my house clean. I never had a moment's worry while I was away.”

About: Since a little girl, there has always been dogs inside or outside of the house. As of right now, I have six dogs all different sizes, ages, and personalities. Therefore, I am very comfortable handling anything from energetic puppies to senior pups who need a gentler space. I understand how to manage multiple dogs at once and read their body language to make sure each one gets the care they need. Because of that, I am patient, adaptable, and used to real life situations. I treat every animal like they are my own regardless of where I am (why I have 6 lol), and make sure they feel safe and loved. I am currently a freshman in college who is fully online. Therefore, I have plenty of time on my hands to play with your pups and get what they need! During the summer time, I will be doing this full time as I will be on break. I have a large yard with many pups yours can play with. If needed, I can easily crate your dog if that is what you prefer, however, all dogs are welcome on the furniture here. I also have a quieter space for the older, wanting to sleep dogs🙂

“Ro did a fantastic job looking after our 2 cats. They have very different needs and she cared for them both. She also left our house clean and tidy. Thank you Ro! We have already booked her again!”

“Kim was absolutely wonderful with our older kitty, Georgia Mae! She came to our home a bit early so that she could meet us and our Kitty. I was hesitant to have anyone watch our kitty, because yes, I’m an overprotective fur baby mama, and could not bring myself to put her in anyone’s care but my own. Let me tell you, letting go, and letting Kim take care of her was one of the best things I’ve ever done! Kim was so loving to Georgia Mae, she showed her caring and love of fur babies right away, and our Lil girl went right up to Kim in trust....great sign! I am already looking at other dates in the near future for Kim to again show her love for Georgia Mae, and sweet manner with myself and my husband. She is the best! Thank you Kim! Thank you Rover! We now have a wonderful new friend of our family!”
“She is the best I’ve ever seen and I recommend her to anyone. Now I know where to take Gil when we go to casino. I love visiting this town-Bryson City. It is great. If u want to get anyone to sit or keep ur dog Michelle and Robbie are the best. I feel safe my dog is happy and having a blast.”

“I ended up needing a short-notice, “panic” cat check-in option from Rover before a 10-day trip. Lillie responded and communicated promptly. Her response saved my trip, She did a pre-trip visit to check out my 5 fuzzies, then dealt well with them for several food and water refill and social interaction visits. When I need cat sitting services again, I will be going back to Lillie.”

“Aaron went above and beyond for our kitty! She got sick just before we were scheduled to leave; he gave her medicine, and dealt with the unpleasant litter boxes that accompanied her illness. Thankfully that only lasted a few days. She is shy, and never let him get a good look at her, but he kept trying. Aaron is also an excellent communicator. He kept us apprised of her condition (as revealed by her litter boxes). We highly recommend Aaron and hope to have him as our sitter for the foreseeable future.”

“Stefanie was amazing!! She helped make our dog a part of our wedding photos and kept her for us during the ceremony so that we had a stress free day! She took so many photos and was so sweet to our fur baby!!”

“Meagan was great and our pups were well taken care of! She worked with us on flexible drop off and pick up times due to the event we were attending. We highly recommend Meagan for your pet needs. Thanks!!”

“Really a ten! The people were wonderful! We got pictures of our dog during the train ride and was even able to park free of charge in their back yard. They also provided comments on interactions with other dogs which shows me the high level of care offered. Highly recommended!”

“Our pup totally enjoyed her day! She seemed so happy (and tired lol) when we picked her up. Luna was a great playmate! We got a ton of pics and videos to see how her day was going. Kristen was so very sweet to us and our furbaby. We know she was well cared for and will rebook here again 💜”

“We came on vacation here and my dog, Shadow, was miserable because he has separation anxiety issues, so I contacted Amy to see if she could keep him for me during the day so he wouldn’t be alone. It was an amazing experience! She was so good with him and he actually loved going after the first day. Amy was a lifesaver for me, I could relax on my vacation and know Shadow was in good hands. Will definitely be using her again next time we come to town. Thank you so much!”

About: I bring a lifetime of hands, on experience and a naturally calm presence. I’ve cared for dogs and cats at every stage of life, from puppies and kittens to seniors, starting with volunteering at a veterinary hospital at age 12. I’m especially good at reading animals and helping them feel at ease in a new environment. I work from home, and pet care is part of my everyday routine. Being around animals, caring for them, and paying attention to their needs is second nature to me. The best part of my day is dog walks and cuddles. I focus on helping pets feel comfortable and secure. I stick closely to what they’re familiar with and take my cues from the animal. 💛

“Amanda was perfect in every way and was able to accommodate our last minute plans. Mochie has a blast and will be back! Super convenient location and nice environment for dogs. Thanks Amanda”

“We couldn't have asked for a better puppy sitter! Danita kept us updated with sweet pictures of our completely relaxed puppy while we visited Dollywood for the day. She took him for a walk and even got him to eat a bit, which he rarely does when he's not in his routine. Next time we're in Townsend and in need of a puppy sitter, we will definitely reach out to Danita. THANK YOU so much!”

“We've used Ro a couple times for over night stays and walks during the day and they've always been great. The most recent visit was for mid day walks. She was super communicative and helpful. One of our dogs had tummy issues and she went back to check on him and put him in his create to avoid accidents in the house. I'm so grateful to be able to trust her and that she's willing to go the extra mile for our animals.”

“Now that my dad is back on his feet and able to walk the dogs again, we just wanted to share how grateful we are for Cheyenne’s help over the past few weeks. She has been incredibly flexible and easy to work with the entire time. Even this past week, with rainy weather and a puppy who loves puddles, she was willing to adjust her schedule to make things work. That kind of willingness to adapt really made a difference for us. Cheyenne was also good about communicating and keeping us updated, which we appreciated, especially since timing varied a bit day to day, but she kept us informed. Overall, she has been accommodating, responsive, and easy to work with through every change we threw her way, and it gave us real peace of mind knowing our dogs were in good hands. If we ever need a dog walker again, we will definitely be reaching out to Cheyenne.”

About: Ever since I was 10 I have had experience taking care of animals. At one point in time we had 26 animals throughout our house that we had to care for. I take pride in caring for animals because they are a true joy and blessing in this world. I also have a dog of my own who is very well trained that I have had for 7 years now. I have quite a lot of free time. Therefore, potentially walking and taking care of your pets will not only give me something to fill my time with but also give me immense enjoyment! Any scheduling conflicts you may have won't be a problem for me! My house currently does not have a fence, however I will gladly walk your pets on a leash if need be. I have a lot of experience with animals and have no problem walking or putting your animals in a crate if it is what is needed.

“Aaron was absolutely wonderful with our two girls!!!! And we appreciate all the pictures and updates while we were away as I am definitely one of those worry dog moms!!!! We definitely know he will continue to use him as one of our girls is very picky on who she will poop for!!!! If you need anyone he is definitely the one!!!!!”

“Lillie has been great working with our new dog Archie. She is very patient and gives great updates, which is very helpful when trying to figure out what behaviors we need to work on with him.”

“Allyson was great. She sent loads of pictures of our elderly dog. She obviously had no trouble helping him up and down the ramp, and helping him get up from laying down. He's an old dog (age 17) so needed a little assistance and she was willing and able to do so. She judged what he could handle, as it was warm and he is an old husky, kept in good contact with us during her visits.”
