“Katy took care of my 5-month-old puppy, Bagel, for three days while I was in the area taking a painting class. Bagel is a very sweet, social and energetic puppy who loves people and other dogs, but he can become overstimulated around other dogs and doesn’t always know how to settle himself yet. Although I had explained that ahead of time, I don’t think either Katy or I realized just how difficult it would be for him to settle in a new home with another dog around. Katy really did try hard to make him comfortable. She took him on walks, played with him, worked on calming him down, and even made a trip to the pet store for a stronger harness, leash, blanket, treats and other things she thought might help. She communicated with me throughout the day and was very honest when she felt Bagel was becoming more than she could comfortably manage for a full day. After two particularly challenging days, we agreed to shorten his third day. Interestingly, he seemed to be settling in better by then, and Katy ended up keeping him until about 2:00 rather than the noon pickup we had planned. Bagel was always happy to see Katy and willingly went with her each morning, which meant a lot to me. I also really liked Katy personally and appreciated how much she cared about making the situation work. Bagel was simply a much bigger handful in her home than I expected, and I think being around another dog all day made it especially hard for him to turn himself off and rest. I’m grateful for the effort Katy put in and for how much she genuinely cared about Bagel during his stay.”

I currently work close to home so commute is not far at all. I have a very flexible schedule with work and can be available at many different times. I enjoy cooking for pets when I can, making it feel more like going to Grandma's house instead of day care 😉 I am very attentive to moods and behaviors, while also going above and beyond to make sure they feel safe. I have treated sick animals, given medications, assisted in giving injections, and followed food regimens. I've been bitten by several different kinds of animals, so I know how to deal with the not-so-fun parts. I have plenty of energy to walk and play, toys, and my own reliable transportation. I've done extensive research on behaviors and relationships of pets and I'm always learning. I would be happy to write daily reports and/or take pictures, whatever makes you feel at ease. Outside of caring for my own animals, I'm not very busy, so if you need a last minute service, I will likely be available. I can transport animals in my car and also have a female German Shepherd who is fixed and is sweet as can be, if your pup would like a play mate! I'm always looking for new spots to walk & hike, making sure your bestie doesn't get bored ☺️ I strive to work with pet parents to provide high standard, seamless care for every animal & your peace of mind. Morning, afternoon or evening, I'm available for your pet care needs. My pets are well taken care of and honestly a little spoiled 🤭. We have different foods for different cat needs, we don't use cheap food brands in our household. Our dog is walked at least 5 times a week, sometimes more. Each animals gets individual attention and plenty of pets. I make my own treats to give my dog her medicine and also try other pet recipes from time to time. All animals are vaccinated, de-wormed, and get vet check-ins annually.

About: I have many years of experience in the veterinary industry and animal health, and I've cared for animals my whole life, including senior pets, puppies and kittens, birds, and small mammals. I offer pet care on the side as my schedule allows, and my goal is always to accommodate what your pet is used to. For house sitting, my standard rate covers overnight care with normal daytime absences. I stay overnight and am out during the day, with potty breaks as indicated, plus meals and playtime. Some pets need more than that. Puppies, seniors, pets on medication, and dogs with separation anxiety often do best with someone home nearly full time. I'm happy to provide that level of care, but it's priced separately since it limits the other bookings I can take. If your pet can't be left alone for long, just mention it in your request and we'll sort out the right rate at the meet and greet. I also offer drop-in visits and dog walking, which are booked and priced separately. I offer pet care on the side as my schedule allows, with availability for drop-in visits, walks, and house sitting. About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have cared for four dogs of different ages, breeds, and sizes. I currently have an 8-year-old mutt named Tucker who is incredibly sweet. Tucker previously went through heartworm treatment, so I have experience following medication schedules and giving medication as directed. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playing, basic grooming, and giving pets plenty of attention. I’ve also owned and cared for parrots, iguanas, lizards, hamsters, and many other animals. I genuinely love animals and will treat every pet like one of my own. I’m currently in college and only have about three hours of class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of free time to give your pets the attention they deserve. I’m available throughout most of the week for walks, drop-ins, playtime, feeding, and spending quality time with your pets. My apartment is very pet-friendly and comfortable, with plenty of places for dogs to relax. I even have a couch specifically for dogs, along with a dog bed and other cozy spots throughout the apartment. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and at home while they’re with me, and I’m happy to follow any routines or special instructions you provide.

About: I love dogs and cats and grew up with both in my home since I was a baby. I pet sit on the side for friends and family and have loved it. I love to play and cuddle and walk your dogs. I live in the North Wilkesboro area. I have one dog who is 3 yrs old and loves friends. I am an administrator by trade so dedicated, hard-working, and responsible. I am clean and tidy so you don't have to worry about coming home to a dirty house. I don't mind cleaning up after myself or your pet. I work full time 8-4:30. I am home on the weekend. I spend my nights and weekends with my dog so we can easily include yours as well! I have one 3 year old female dog. She is fixed, trained and won’t be a problem. We go on walks and I have a long chain for the dogs to explore the yard with. I live in a safe neighborhood with no worries or issues. I treat the dogs like family. They can be on furniture and I normally do not crate my dog. If yours needs crated I have a spare room so they can feel safe and not upset not being with my dog.
