“Amy & John took such good care of our two dogs, boarding them for nearly a week while we traveled. I was so appreciative and relieved they would consider us, as our young dog, River, is always curious and has a pretty strong prey drive. I wondered if he would be suited to life on their farm. Our other guy, Colton, is 15 and has significant arthritis. These two could not have more different needs at this point. Amy and John have a beautiful farm, two special rescued dogs, Bruno & Pork Chop, cattle, chickens, even emu. This would be a new experience for both our guys! Generally we spend a great deal of time with them off leash walking our family farms, but this would be a new property and boundaries without fencing. At our meet and greet it was clear Amy and John are special people. We admired them right away! They are very experienced, and were aptly methodical about the introduction of all the dogs and their other farm animals. Their confidence that this could work for all parties involved was reassuring. Amy and John went above and beyond, very kind to take our dogs a day earlier than planned with short notice, and welcomed our daughter, also new to them, who transported the dogs for us. They were excellent at communicating, sending us updates, pictures, and videos, even though we’d told them this was not necessary, as keeping up with River, his energy and curiosities, we knew could be a full time job in and of itself. But it gave us great peace of mind hearing early on that all was going well and there were no issues. Because of Amy & John’s care, patience, and diligence, after a full day with them we received the following, “..Bruno and River have become fast friends, running circles and playing hide and seek in the woods like wild things! We’re not using the leashes at all as we walk in the woods. River’s been absolutely perfect about coming back when we call him.” And I got the biggest kick out of, “I just got back from a walk with all four dogs, Pork Chop and Colton waddling behind me and River and Bruno having a blast playing chase.” Along with a picture Amy sent of River with his head poking through from behind her knees (as crazy as it sounds), something he humors only us with here at home, we KNEW both our guys felt comfortable, were happy and very much cared for. I could not imagine a more perfect scenario for our dogs. Now back at home, we can definitely sense they are missing Amy, John, Bruno, Pork Chop, and daily life on their farm. I’d love to arrange a play date to help with this, and I KNOW precisely what River and Colton’s reactions will be once we approach their farm. It’s clear this is a family that loves animals and cares so much for the well-being of all they have rescued and assumed responsibility for. They are kind, exceptional, hard-working individuals, and we feel so fortunate to have met them and to have our dogs cared for by them. This is who we will turn to any time we need care and boarding for our dogs!”

About: I have been pet sitting since 13 years old and I have been volunteering about three times a week at Orange County Animal Services where I walk and provide enrichment for cats and dogs. I’ve taken care of a variety of animals- dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, lizards, guinea pigs, and even rats. I have experience with all ages, behavior, and energy levels, as well as taking care of multiple animals at one time. I work at Green Beagle Lodge, a daycare and boarding facility where I oversee playgroups and do stuff like cleaning ears and eyes, balming paws, brushing, etc. I work three 12 hours shifts and week, Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, as well as Thursday evenings from 4pm to 7pm. I am available Thursdays before 3pm and all day Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday. I am available for drop in visits, such as a couple time a day to simply feed and walk your dog or cat (or other animal). I can also do more involved pet care, such as staying overnight and hanging out with your fur baby all day!

About: I began my journey learning about responsible pet care and dog training when I was ten years old and enrolled in 4H with my puppy. Since that early age I have gained professional experience in vet clinics, pet stores, and as a professional dog jogger. I did extensive research on positive reinforcement training when I adopted my shy, border collie mix puppy in 2020 and am a strong believer in its ability to form strong bonds and trust with any pet. I currently have a remote job that gives me open flexibility. I can also make evening visits and overnights stays throughout the week. I can work from your home on my laptop when I am pet/house sitting, providing a lot of companionship for your best friend! I will care for the pets in your home, where they feel most comfortable. About: I have been pet sitting since 13 years old and I have been volunteering about three times a week at Orange County Animal Services where I walk and provide enrichment for cats and dogs. I’ve taken care of a variety of animals- dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, lizards, guinea pigs, and even rats. I have experience with all ages, behavior, and energy levels, as well as taking care of multiple animals at one time. I work at Green Beagle Lodge, a daycare and boarding facility where I oversee playgroups and do stuff like cleaning ears and eyes, balming paws, brushing, etc. I work three 12 hours shifts and week, Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, as well as Thursday evenings from 4pm to 7pm. I am available Thursdays before 3pm and all day Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday. I am available for drop in visits, such as a couple time a day to simply feed and walk your dog or cat (or other animal). I can also do more involved pet care, such as staying overnight and hanging out with your fur baby all day!
About: I couldn't imagine my life without animals. My mom bred labs when I was a kid and I have always lived in a house with dogs. I worked in a vet for a while I was in high school where I walked, fed, cleaned up after, and provided medications to dogs visiting or boarding. I have also been the go-to pet sitter for family and friends for years. I’m always available by phone. I am also more than willing to send pictures or texts to pet parents that would like them. I currently work full time Monday through Friday in a remote capacity and on site as needed, but I’m lucky enough to have a lot of flexibility. I have always treated pets as part of the family and think that all animals should be treated with compassion. I also believe that positive reinforcement is the most effective training method and that you can always teach an old dog new tricks.
About: I am a veterinary assistant (coming from a emergency and specialty hospital setting) with a background of animal boarding/daycare experience which includes basic grooming (nail trimming, anal gland expression, bathing...), training, and play. I'm comfortable and experienced with all types of animal behavior and am more than happy to accommodate special needs! I am skilled in dog and cat medication administration: intranasally, subcutaneously, orally, and intramuscularly. I am also RECOVER certified in dog/cat CPR BLS/ALS and well versed in handling animal emergencies and events. I am also comfortable with chicken (just chickens at this point in my career), rabbit, and guinea pig care including SQ, IM, and oral medication administration. I love animals and i'm elated to have the opportunity to take care of your babies! I'm currently a part-time worker at a general family vet practice and pick up shifts occasionally at an emergency veterinary hospital. My schedule is a little flexible due to this fact and my availability will reflect this! I do own two (2) cats of my own and will ask if your pet is comfortable with being left for maximum 2 hours at a time, no more than once a day so I can check up on them. This is for house sitting only. When visiting your home I'll be conscious of how your pet receives me. For bright, young puppies and kittens, I'll keep them entertained and stimulated for the length of my visit, making sure there is no signs of trouble or illness. I'll be sure to clean and sanitize myself before and after each visit with these puppies/kittens to ensure their safety and health. The same applies with young and old adult dogs and cats, taking into consideration the special needs that come with age.
About: Ive grown up with animals my whole life, I started walking my family dog and cleaning up after my family cats when I was pretty young and Ive been doing it ever since! I take care of my own dog, and I have also had experience house sitting and dog walking for friends and neighbors. Im currently in school at Alamance Community College, and I have class 9-5 every Tuesday and Thursday. Other than that and the occasional appointment I am pretty open :) I like to follow a timely schedule with my dog (when I feed her, when I walk her, when I take her out, etc.) But of course it isn’t always perfect, and I am willing to adapt to any specific instructions/ guidelines.

“Amy & John took such good care of our two dogs, boarding them for nearly a week while we traveled. I was so appreciative and relieved they would consider us, as our young dog, River, is always curious and has a pretty strong prey drive. I wondered if he would be suited to life on their farm. Our other guy, Colton, is 15 and has significant arthritis. These two could not have more different needs at this point. Amy and John have a beautiful farm, two special rescued dogs, Bruno & Pork Chop, cattle, chickens, even emu. This would be a new experience for both our guys! Generally we spend a great deal of time with them off leash walking our family farms, but this would be a new property and boundaries without fencing. At our meet and greet it was clear Amy and John are special people. We admired them right away! They are very experienced, and were aptly methodical about the introduction of all the dogs and their other farm animals. Their confidence that this could work for all parties involved was reassuring. Amy and John went above and beyond, very kind to take our dogs a day earlier than planned with short notice, and welcomed our daughter, also new to them, who transported the dogs for us. They were excellent at communicating, sending us updates, pictures, and videos, even though we’d told them this was not necessary, as keeping up with River, his energy and curiosities, we knew could be a full time job in and of itself. But it gave us great peace of mind hearing early on that all was going well and there were no issues. Because of Amy & John’s care, patience, and diligence, after a full day with them we received the following, “..Bruno and River have become fast friends, running circles and playing hide and seek in the woods like wild things! We’re not using the leashes at all as we walk in the woods. River’s been absolutely perfect about coming back when we call him.” And I got the biggest kick out of, “I just got back from a walk with all four dogs, Pork Chop and Colton waddling behind me and River and Bruno having a blast playing chase.” Along with a picture Amy sent of River with his head poking through from behind her knees (as crazy as it sounds), something he humors only us with here at home, we KNEW both our guys felt comfortable, were happy and very much cared for. I could not imagine a more perfect scenario for our dogs. Now back at home, we can definitely sense they are missing Amy, John, Bruno, Pork Chop, and daily life on their farm. I’d love to arrange a play date to help with this, and I KNOW precisely what River and Colton’s reactions will be once we approach their farm. It’s clear this is a family that loves animals and cares so much for the well-being of all they have rescued and assumed responsibility for. They are kind, exceptional, hard-working individuals, and we feel so fortunate to have met them and to have our dogs cared for by them. This is who we will turn to any time we need care and boarding for our dogs!”
