About: Hello! My name is Emma and my family currently own seven dogs ranging from various sizes. We have a 10lb teacup doodle to a 80lb golden retriever. I have actually raised 5 of them from when they were puppies to now. I have been dog sitting my own dogs from 6-7 years now when my parents go on vacation for a week or longer. I feed them, take them on walks and such. I also started accepting other clients 4-5 years back for over night stays or week stays. I don’t leave the dogs alone unless I have work or school. I also walk my friends’ dogs when they get busy so I have a lot of experience. I am unable to offer for pets to stay at my place because I have an apartment but I do not mind staying over to make sure your dog(s) are well taken care of. I always make sure to follow the schedule given to me by the owners and make sure that they get plenty of exercises and play time. I am currently working part time so I have plenty of time to take them out and watch after your dogs. I usually let them out in the morning around 6ish for the first time and will feed them around 8ish. After that I let them out whenever they went when I’m at home or about every 3-4 hours if I’m working. I feed them around 5/6pm and let them out one last time around midnight if needed. I also prefer to take walks early in the morning or later in the evening to avoid other dogs and avoid the heat. I don’t offer to board dogs in my apartment but at the client’s home, I do think the dogs are more used to and know what they can and can’t do. I will do my best to make sure there aren’t harm that will come to them but usually a fenced in yard or I can take them out on a leash as needed. I also can put them in crates as needed but usually that is not a problem.

I recently moved to Newport News so I have a completely open schedule. I am already cooking fresh food for my mom's dogs and walking them regularly. Come join us. Dogs have full access to our entire downstairs which open up to a well-maintained fenced in yard. == FEEDING == During feeding time, your dog will fed in their crate or a play pen area to prevent food aggression and upset stomachs caused by consuming foreign dog food of other pups. == SLEEPING == Crate-trained dogs will sleep in crates (please specify if your dog is used to a certain size, as we have a wide variety of sizes available. Dogs who are not crate trained will sleep in a pen. Special accommodations can be made for dogs who are not able to do either of those. == WALKS == While it is our goal to make sure each dog get proper exercise and socialization, we do not provide walks during boarding due to liability and risk factors involved with walks (dogs escaping from harness, eating something off the side walk, coming into contact with an unfriendly dog, etc). We do, however give them plenty of outdoor time with the other dogs or solo to socialize and play, which we find is ample exercise for the pups that stay with us. REQUESTED INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR PET Prior to dropping off, please fill out your dog's bio as much as possible. == THINGS WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR DOG == -Is your pup sick and/or contagious? -Quirks or habits that would be helpful to know (humping, chewing on paws, separation anxiety, excessive barking, etc). -Current or past illnesses, injuries, or traumatic history/triggers. -If they are taking any medication or require any special care instructions. -Is your pup up to date on vaccinations and flea & tick medication. We understand vaccines are not bulletproof and that some illnesses may have an extended incubation period but we highly recommend the vaccines to create the safest experience. *Please know that we are unable to care for sick/contagious dogs. If your pup shows any signs of disease or illness, please let us know beforehand so we can make sure you receive a proper refund. If we discover that your pup is exhibiting obvious symptoms of disease with the first 12 hours with us, your dog will need to be picked up and no refund will be issued. I am a stay at home mama. I pick up and drop off my children at school and have the rest of the day free to help take care of your dogs. We live in a very clean two-story home, fenced in yard, and all the necessities required to properly care for your pets. About: I have experience taking care of dogs from puppy stage to adult. I really enjoy playing and spending time with them. I have trained 3 dogs of our own from their puppy stage using positive reinforcement. Please give me a chance to take care of your baby! I am a military spouse and have lived in the area for over 2 years. My background before becoming a military spouse was a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and I worked with missing and exploited children. I have almost an acre of a fenced in yard. I also have 2 dogs, but will keep them separated and kenneled from your dog.
About: I grew up on a farm in Ohio taking care of all sorts of animals. Being a Dog Mom myself I know the daily stress and worries that come through your head while you're busy days take over your schedule. We make bath time fun, or at least try our best! Every dog has their own personalities and needs throughout the day- am here for them and you! My constant goal is to provide the security to you and fun to your fur babes at any time because I understand life isn't 9-5 and your needs cant be confined. I have an open yard and an open floor plan house for all the zoomie needs. We are a walkable distance to the Experimental forest for short or long winded walks. I have space for crates and a large crate for use if needed. My babe Zoe will keep great company to your pet and share all of her toys. Your pet will be so loved however you want to utilize my service opportunities!
About: I have a wide range of experience in caring for 1-30+ dogs at a time. I’ve cared for numerous family and friends’ dogs, hunting dogs, and I’ve worked for two boarding/daycare businesses over the last 3 years. I have experience working with dogs who have seizures, and in administering a wide range of medications. I am a full time student and work part time, so my hours are a little complex, but I’m more than willing to work together with you to try and find a schedule that works for everyone! I can care for your doggo in your home so that they’re the most comfortable, and so they can stick to their routines! I’m happy to run around and play with them and take them for walks; I’m also very happy to be a couch potato with them! I really do care about your dogs and want to give them and you peace of mind when they’re in my care!
About: I have plenty of experience caring for pets of my own, as well as volunteering at the local SPCA. Feeding, bathing, grooming, walking, playing, etc. I have one dog of my own, and had one prior who was handicapped and paralyzed, so I have decent experience. I am good to work with any breed or size of dog. I am pretty decently flexible, as I work mornings from 5:30-10, and then anytime after I am 100% free 7 days a week! Feeding, bathing, grooming, walking, playing, simply spending time with, etc. in client’s home for in-home visits. Depending on the task, I can do almost anything needed.
About: I like animals more than people and I’ve never met an animal I couldn’t make friends with! While I am new to Rover, caring for animals is not new to me. As a kid I helped my dad raise three litters of puppies, which taught me early on about responsibility, patience, and proper animal care. Over the years, I’ve always had anywhere from one to four dogs and one to two cats at a time. In addition to dogs and cats, I currently have or have had bunnies, turtles, fish, goats, pigs, chickens, ducks, and cows. I also have experience caring for and riding horses. I’ve helped with the birth of puppies, goats, and piglets. While I’m not a veterinarian nor do I have formal veterinary training - having owned and cared for a plethora of animal species, I have learned a lot about animals and gained a lot of hands-on experience. I’m comfortable caring for sick animals, administering basic medical care, and monitoring health concerns. Animals have always gravitated toward me — especially the shy, anxious, or less trusting. I’m patient, calm, and genuinely enjoy earning their trust. While your pets are my responsibility, they will be spoiled, loved, safe, and well cared for. I recently decided to leave my people-y career after 15 years. Again, I prefer animals to people so I can’t think of a better way to spend my newly acquired free time! My schedule is pretty open with a day or two notice. Your animal(s) and home will be loved, cared for, and respected. About: I've cared for all kinds of animals throughout my life from my own animals to my friends and families. I always was the first of my siblings to volunteer to help feed, walk, watch over, bathe, and learn about animals and it's since been a passion of mine. I work part-time so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets in my free time. I the sweetest cat,Olly, so I definitely get creative with indoor/outdoor activities. I have a variety of cat toys that your animal will have access to (depending on your preferences), puzzles and home made interactive games so your pup will constantly be entertained and hopefully tuckered out when returning home!

About: Dogs have always been a part of my life! At one point I had 5 shepherds! I’ve always volunteered (or was paid 🤭) to walk my neighbors dogs when I was younger or watch/play with friends and family pups. My energy has always matched theirs! I’ve watched pups for extended periods of times while friends were out on a boat DET or deployed (cats too!). Animals have just always had a special place in my heart 🫶🏼 I’m active duty military and when I’m home, I’m not a big traveler so I am home a lot. The extent of my travel has always had something to do with my dogs. Hiking, trail running, Going to the beach- if I can bring them, I’m doing it! My husband owns a gym with a HUGE fenced in dog yard that he takes our 3 shepherds to every day. So that is an option if you’d like your pet to have the freedom to run around with other dogs and be around people every day! Let’s chat and we can work something out! I am reliable, trustworthy and punctual! I work from 9-2 and my husband works 5am-12.. the rest of the day we are at home playing with the pups, taking them to run around dismal swamp (it’s more like a park) or building things. We don’t travel much, our pets are our world so we like to be here with them and take them on adventures! They have to live their best life too, right?! My availability is very open and I look forward to playing/caring/watching your pet! Customer (and dog owner 😉) service and satisfaction is my goal! I have a fenced in yard with 3 loving GSDs that we have had since they were pups! They sleep in our bedroom with us at night and there isn’t a kennel in our home. If your dog sleeps in a kennel or needs to be kenneled when no one is home- that’s perfectly fine too! We have extra comfy doggy beds for your pup when they’re boarded as well! My home is a safe, loving environment so rest assured, your pet will be treated like they’re my own!
