From the first moment we met, I knew that "we had a match" for my dog. All the pictures and updates from Maegan were reassuring and it was clear to see that things were going very well. She clearly loves all dogs and is very attentive and in tune with their moods and actions. Her home and fenced yard were secure, safe, comfortable and very welcoming. My one concern going into this was that Maegan has small children and my dog hasn't been around many. But I expressed my unnecessary concern and learned that her kids are as professional, sensitive and loving of dogs as their parents. Five stars doesn't seem like enough!”

About: I have cared for animals my entire life. Growing up we were a multiple dog and cat family at all times. This is why I understand the care and attention pets need while their owners are away. I have a full time job, however I am very flexible on my work day hours so scheduling for drop-in visits or walks Monday-Thursday will be no problem. I am off Friday-Sunday, so my weekends are even more flexible for the care visits I can provide. For drop-in visits I will arrive at the scheduled time every time. My routine can vary based on client requests, however I typically prefer to let the pet out for a bathroom break first thing. After that, I will ensure food and water are refreshed as needed for the scheduled feeding times. I typically like to allow the pet to run around outside or take them on a walk to get them up and moving during my visit. Before the visit ends, I like to ensure they get another opportunity to use the bathroom before bringing them back inside.

I have experience with large dogs and small dogs, as well as cats and small animals like hamsters. When your pet stays at our house they are allowed in bed and on our furniture. The only thing I ask is that your pet is kid, dog, and cat friendly :) If you would like to bring your animal to my house I would be more than happy to watch them here, but if you would rather me come to your house that is fine too! I do offer drop in visits at your house but am unable to stay there while you are away. About: I have four cats and a german shepherd. I grew up having dogs and cats my whole life. I have raised kittens and bottle fed them and have experience with small dogs and very large dogs. I currently work full time monday- friday. I am available early mornings, I have an hour lunch break, and I am available after 3pm most days! I am free all day on the weekends. My one concern going into this was that Maegan has small children and my dog hasn't been around many. About: I’m a lifelong animal lover whose always had dogs and cats throughout my childhood and adulthood. I also have professional experience working at a doggy daycare, where I cared for 70+ dogs each day. That experience taught me how to handle dogs with a wide range of personalities, energy levels, and needs while making sure every pup feels safe, happy, and loved. At home, we have a good sized fully fenced-in yard where your dog can run, play, and get plenty of outdoor time. I also love staying active myself, so going for walks with the dogs is one of my favorite parts of pet care. Whether your pet needs some extra playtime, a good long walk, or simply some love and companionship while you’re away, I’ll treat them like one of my own. I recently moved to North Carolina from Massachusetts with my fur babies and husband for my husband’s career and to continue his college career at UNCW.
