About: First and foremost, I absolutely adore animals! Even as a kid, I would only accompany my mother to visit her friends, who had dogs or cats in their home. I appreciate, respect, and can relate to the bond humans have with their pets. They are very much family and there's nothing more satisfying than seeing your fur baby comfortable, relaxed, and content, in our home or yours, while you're away. We only board 2 dogs at a time, to ensure a quiet, calm, and more relaxing stay, and have a large fenced in backyard for playtime. Dogs staying with us must be house trained. We also have a cat, who loves to play with dogs, so to ensure his safety, any dogs boarding with us must be cat friendly. Some of my previous work experience includes 4 years as a veterinary assistant and I'm comfortable with administering medication, if needed. I have dog training experience and have even trained two of our own to become registered therapy dogs. Together, we serve our community by providing pet therapy in shelters for domestic violence victims, assisted living facilities, our local university, in elementary schools, and wherever she's needed. I currently work with German Shepherd Rescue organizations, assessing temperaments/behavior, conducting home visits, and fostering. We live near the airport, which makes it ideal for dropping off and picking up when traveling for work or going on vacation. Several of my clients leave their babies with us when leaving the country. In addition to dog sitting for many friends and family members over the years, I've also taken care of cats, horses, goats, and even iguanas! I can't wait to provide extra love, play time, and affection for your fur baby, too! I work from home and we have one dog and a cat. I closely supervise any dogs that are our guests here and can provide potty breaks as frequently as needed. Any pets staying with us are supervised inside and out. Our yard is large and fenced in, so it's a great place for play sessions. For drop in visits, I customize it to the owner's wishes and dog's needs.
“I hadn't left Chloe with anyone for over three years, so finding a dog sitter was a big event in our life. She and I spend every day, all day together, so I was like a mama dropping her child for their first day of kindergarten. But Chloe had such a positive meet and greet, she couldn't wait to return! During our initial meeting, Rayana let Chloe thoroughly explore her house, which thrilled her as she's part hound dog and her nose demands she smell every crack and crevice. When Rayana invited her up on the sofa and gave her a pillow, Chloe looked at me like, omg, are you seeing this?! Nobody lets me up on their couch but you, mom! The cherry on top was when Rayana proceeded to give her lots of hugs and kisses and praise. We had a wonderful chat, after which Chloe discovered the doggie door and the yard, and I was thinking I wouldn't be able to get her to leave! When we returned for doggy daycare I was feeling emotional and worried I might start blubbering, but within a minute of arriving, Chloe was so excited to be there that I couldn't get her attention to tell her I was leaving! It made all the difference to know she was with someone who would love on her like I do. Chloe was a rescue who had a traumatic start in life, and I never imagined I would find someone who'd give her the kind of love and attention that has helped her heal and flourish. I can't recommend Rayana more highly. She is definitely a dog whisperer who clearly loves her four legged friends. ❤️”

About: As a remote Registered Nurse (RN), I bring a clinical eye to pet care. I notice subtle changes in behavior or health that others might miss. I’m comfortable administering medications in any form, from pills to inhalers, and my own pets are on daily medication routines so it’s second nature. My background in farming gave me hands-on experience with animal health and handling, and I’ve worked with my own dogs on training from puppyhood. I’m home all day, every day, so your dog gets constant attention and care, not just a place to play and sleep. I work from home Monday through Friday, 9 to 5, with a flexible schedule that gives me plenty of time in the mornings, evenings, and throughout the day. I have lots of time for walks, potty breaks, and playtime, and my job allows me to step away whenever your pup needs attention. I can work from my office or the couch, wherever your dog is most comfortable. On my days off I tend to stay close to home, and if I do need to run an errand I won’t be gone long and can always accommodate you and your dog’s needs. I share my home with three animals who are very well loved. Haddie is my 7 year old spayed terrier mix, about 22 pounds, and my two cats are Zuzu, a spayed senior, and June, who is 4 years old and also spayed. Each of them has their own dietary and medical needs, so I’m already in the routine of specialized diets and medications. Your dog will fit right into that level of care. Haddie goes out every two to four hours and we walk together every day. There’s also plenty of backyard playtime. The backyard is not currently fenced, but a fence is going up soon. In the meantime I have a post with a long leash line in the yard and keep Haddie on a harness. I am always outside with her when using the leash line and never leave her unattended, and will do the same for your dog. My home is clean, open, and pet friendly. The furniture and beds are fair game for your dog. I do have a dedicated cat room with a gate that only the cats can fit through, so they always have their own safe space. All of my houseplants are pet safe as well. I also live at the end of a dead end street near the cul de sac, so it’s a quiet area with only local traffic and no busy roads nearby.

About: My husband and I are in our forties, no kids, but one sweet Maltese mix that we love to snuggle on the couch with and a bossy cat who gets along with dogs. We have a dog friendly home with a fenced backyard. We have had small dogs for 10 years and can administer pills and ointments. There is a park a block away that we go to every day to get in a good long walk on lunch. Our dog, Scout, loves other small dogs. We have discovered when we use Rover he doesn't even notice we're gone if we leave hime with someone else who has a dog for him to play with, and we enjoy doing that for other families. I have worked with pets who need medication and special care, as well as anxious dogs who need constant activity (or to just be left alone). I understand that pets are a part of the family and need to be cared for as such. I have my own pup now and know how important it is to have a trusted caretaker so you can fully enjoy your time away. I currently work part time in a very flexible environment making it easy to accommodate many different needs and scheduling preferences. Any pets are treated like part of the family and given full priority over any other engagements I’m happt to board other dogs if meet and greet goes well with my own pup! I’m more than willing to stay overnight in others homes if that makes you more comfortable, or just have multiple drop in visits at your preference.
About: I’ve taken care of pets all my life, being a life-long dog owner to pet sitting for friends/family/ on Rover! I fully understand that your fur baby is your family. I have experience with special-needs dogs and have given loving care to a special needs rescue dog of my own. I have experience administering daily and monthly medication, taking my pets to training, giving regular walks, feeding, grooming and going on trips for enrichment. I am happy to play with your cat, feed, scoop litter, and do light grooming (for kitties who tolerate it)! *I have experience providing injection insulin to diabetic cats while cat-sitting and can provide this service for your kitty , and am additionally comfortable providing this for your dog after a training session with you (but had a very positive experience administering to cats). My job schedule changes on occasion due to part-time work but I will always have my Rover profile updated to my current availability for bookings! I am not currently boarding at my home but I will always make sure your fur baby is safe and take care of on walks by using proper equipment, keeping them hydrated with clean drinking water and being aware of extreme weather conditions, keeping in regular contact with you. If you would like me to transport them, I have a clean driving record and will make making sure they are safe and comfy in my car, never unattended. At your home, I will make sure they are never closed/locked in somewhere they should not be or locked out of somewhere they need access to. Again, they will always have access to their water and food in the manner that you instruct me to have it out for them. I will follow all safety protocols with keeping your house secure. I love sending pet photos to those who request them because I know how important and reassuring that can be when you are away!

About: I have been a veterinary nurse at an AAHA accredited hospital for the last 6 years, and prior to that, worked at an additional hospital as well as a pet store with exotics. I am more than comfortable administering any method of medication, and taking care of your medical needs, special needs, or senior fur babies. I own two friendly dogs, two sassy cats, and a baby ball python myself- variety is the spice of life. If you’re looking for a medically experienced caretaker for your kids, I’m your gal! *also have grooming experience with medical needs animals I just moved to the Asheville area, so Im excited to explore around. I have just taken a M-Th veterinary position, but I still plan on working Rover into my schedule! I have two friendly dogs, who will play with dogs that want to play, ignore the ones who don’t, and will be gentle with the young and little ones. I do not have a yard, but I am very active and used to taking my large dogs for >3-4 mile walks daily.
