“John and Zena have been nothing short of amazing! This was my first experience with dog boarding of any kind and they took car of our nervous shelter pup Benny like he was one of their own. Drop off was seamless and he has taken extra steps to ensure they are comfortable the whole time. Thank you so much for taking care of Benny!”

“We have left Rey with Courtney twice now and she has an incredible setup to ensure my dog felt safe and happy to play with other dogs. Will continue leaving my dog with Courtney whenever I have the need.”

“This was the first time using Rover. My contact with Kristen was easy and after the reading the reviews I felt she was the right choice for Diamond. Diamond came home happy and we will contact Kristen for our next sitting needs.”

“Eric and family are amazing! This was our first time using Rover and Eric went out of his way to make us comfortable and accommodate our schedule. We highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Shelly was wonderful with my little heeler girl who is absolutely insane. She needs 24 7 playtime food happiness and above all just needs to burn energy, Shelly did a wonderful job with her I will use her again in the future.”

“Can’t say enough great things about the care that James C. & wife provided to our elderly dog while we were on vacation. They were willing to take Apollo at the last minute when our previous boarding reservations fell through. Our dog had recently experienced a spider bite with subsequent need for wound care & medication. Couldn’t have asked for better care due to their knowledge & experience. They provided updates & readily responding when we had questions. Would highly recommend!”

“Cooper had a great time during his stay! We felt very comfortable leaving him here during the week and will definitely be booking again the next time we are out of town!”

“Christianna was so great to my babies. Took them at the last minute and handled unsure/fearful cat with love and care. Will 100% use her services again if I need a sitter in the future. Thanks again Christianna!”

“Vania is an EXCELLENT dog sitter. She kept my 10 week old Benji (He's a Cavapoochon) overnight when I had to make a trip to North Carolina. She frequently updated me on how he was doing with texts and pictures. This was Benji's 1st stay away from home and I was never worried that he wasn't being taken care of. I highly recommend Vania for dog sitting and boarding. I will definitely use her services again! ?”

“We dropped off our dog, Alfie, on our way to the outerbanks as our Airbnb didn’t allow dogs and we are so glad we booked with Kristin. Alfie had so much fun playing at their home and Kristin made sure to keep us updated with photos throughout the entire trip.”

“I can't say enough good things about Melody and Matthew as dog sitters! This was Chloe's second time being away from us, and we were a bit nervous, but they put us at ease right away. Throughout the 8 days, Melody sent regular updates that showed Chloe making friends with other dogs and bonding with their kids. It was clear she was comfortable, happy, and getting all the attention she needed. I felt completely confident that Chloe was in great hands, and it made our trip that much more enjoyable. Highly recommend Melody and Matthew!”

“OMG!!!! By far THE BEST EXPERIENCE I could ask for. Loved the transparency from the beginning! My Harmonie had the BEST time and I loved the pic mail received during her stay. Definitely will rebook when in town!!!!”

About: I am a mom to 4 high-energy medium/large breed dogs. I am no stranger to cleaning up accidents, administering medications, handling pets with reactivity, and fulfilling exercise such as playing fetch, tug, flirt pole, long walks, brain stimulation (keeping up with training/commands) or simply snuggling if your baby is low activity. I have been a self-employed residential cleaner for over 8 years and create my own schedule allowing me the flexibility to care for your pets and mine! I am so grateful for all my clients who trust me to help take care of their home and I am hoping to build trust with pet parents as I would love to transition into pet care full time as it has always been what I am most passionate about. While I do have four dogs of my own, I am able to keep your dogs separate from mine at all times if requested and or necessary when boarding. I built my dogs their own apartment behind our house fully equipped with heat, ac, a bed, and doggie door leading to a fenced in area so your dog(s) does not have to be dog friendly and we are also child free so your dog can be the only baby in our home the duration of their stay! But if you would like for your dog(s) to have a playdate and a doggie daycare style stay that can be arranged as well!

“I was very happy with Kathleen's service. I wanted input from my furbaby, Spike, about his stay, but he isn't very conversational! LOL But the picture Kathleen sent me of with him stretched out on her sofa, told me he was just fine. I'm look forward to working with her again in the future. Thanks, Kathleen!”

“Carolyn is absolutely phenomenal! Her whole family was absolutely great with my Cane Corso who is 125pds!! Carolyn is very accommodating when I needed to extend a day! She sends updates daily and she treated my Togue as if she was her own!! I’m glad we found this family!!”
“Jon has been a great sitter for Jinger, we're glad we found him. Our trips are better knowing she's being care for well. We truly appreciate Jon and 100% recommen him for your pet care. Thank you so much Jon!!!!”

“Would definitely recommend, my dog can be a little complicated and needs a little extra love and these two took care of him great. Definitely will be back and thankful they helped during a holiday!”

“This is our pups 2nd stay with Kristin, they love her and we're excited when we got to her house. They got lots of long walks and play time. Kristin was even able to trim their nails which is very difficult for our Shepard whom usually requires full sedation for pedicures. She's a dog whisperer for sure!”

I got into Rover to build a customer base for when I can open my dream rescue and training facility. I love taking care of animals, no matter their shape or size. I know how important it is to leave your animals in trusting hands now and days. I’m an anxious mess when I leave behind mine. If I can give just the slightest bit of relief to you and your family while you are away from your furbabies, that’s my goal! I listen to instructions and am not aftaid to say my thoughts and questions, if any. I am always willing to accommodate your babies needs. I like to send updates throughout the day and I will send pictures as well. If any problems arise while they are in my care, you will be contacted immediately. I will treat your animals how I would want mine to be treated by others. I am currently working from home as a stay at home mom. Your pets care and needs will fit in to my schedule as if they were my own. I would care for your pets as if they were mine. I want your furbabies to feel like nothing had changed despite your absence. I strive to make sure they are comfortable and happy!

“Andrea was kind enough to drop in on our cats while we were gone for a week. The house looks great. The cats look well loved. Photos and videos every day were a great treat! Can’t wait for our next trip so we can have Andrea over to care for them again.”

“Laura is a great pet boarder and my 2 cats were very comfortable with her and her family. (Thanks so much for taking wonderful care of them.) She sent me frequent pictures and I was surprised to see my shy boy actually coming to them for pets! She was also flexible with times which was a blessing as we were traveling out of town. We would absolutely board with them again!”

About: Hi, I’m Macee! I’ve been pet sitting for several years and love caring for animals. I have experience with dogs of all ages and personalities, including senior pets. Whether it’s overnight stays, drop-ins, walks, or medication, I’ll make sure your pets are cared for like my own! I work full-time during the week, but I am available before and after work, on weekends, and for overnight stays. I make pet care a priority and always ensure pets stay on their normal routine as much as possible. I believe consistency is important for pets, so I follow each owner’s instructions carefully. Whether it’s feeding schedules, medications, walks, or bedtime routines, I strive to keep pets comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I treat every home and pet with respect.

“Our cat was well taken care of. Carolyn came on the days scheduled and gave fresh food, water and clean the litter box. Our cat was fine when we returned home. Carolyn did a great 3!”

About: I've been taking care of dogs my entire life. I have experience with large, medium, and small dogs. I have experience with rescues that have special needs, puppies, as well as senior care. I’m happy to specialize each experience for max comfort for your pup. I have a remote job and am flexible with scheduling around your pups needs. There are times when I am unavailable but I will always have any walks, visits or day cares scheduled accordingly . I have a corgi mix of my own that goes on walks and potty breaks at a regular schedule. I have a fenced yard and a friendly corgi mix to keep any pups company. I do not have a crate but if provide one I have no problem if that is better for your pup.
About: I have experience working with animals of all breeds/species. I used to work for a boarding/daycare/grooming facility that was also connected to a vets office. I’m familiar with farm animals, dogs, cats, most small pets, and reptiles. I had my own horse for 17 years. Currently I have two German Shepherds who are both 4 years old- so I’m very familiar with working breeds! *I have experience with administering medications and animal first aid* I’m currently a stay at home mom and have full availability. More than likely my son will be with me for drop in visits- but for house sitting, arrangements can be made if necessary! With my two being a working breed we go on a lot of walks, and play a lot of fetch. But they also know how to be couch potatoes! Either way I can follow the lifestyle your pet is used to whether it be cuddles and lounging or going outside to play. I’m all about communication so pictures and daily check ins are something I like to provide!

About: With several years of cat sitting experience I’ve helped neighbors, friends, and family by providing check-ins, feeding, and playtime. I know how important it is to keep cats comfortable in their own environment with their own routine, and I’ll treat your Cat/cats with the same care and patience I’d give my own.

“I can’t recommend Kaylan enough! From the very beginning, she went above and beyond, not just checking the boxes, but truly caring for my animals like they were her own. Her updates were the perfect mix of hilarious and helpful (seriously, I looked forward to them like a mini comedy show), and they gave me total peace of mind while I was away. The real magic? My skittish barn cat, who usually acts like humans are a myth, actually walked past her like she belonged there. That’s a miracle in itself and says everything about her energy and patience. She clearly has a genuine knack for animals, even the tough cookies. If you’re looking for someone who’s not only responsible but has a true gift with animals (and a great sense of humor), Kaylan is the one!”

About: Cat sitting is a calm and rewarding experience. When I arrive, I make sure the cat has fresh food, water, and a clean litter box. At first, some cats may be shy and keep their distance, so I give them space and move gently around them. Over time, the cats become more comfortable. Some will come up for attention, while others prefer to relax nearby. I follow their routine and pay attention to their behavior to make sure they are happy and healthy. Cat sitting is about being patient, respectful, and making sure the cat feels safe and cared for while their owner is away.
“Tonya was awesome. She is kind, caring, on time, and updates regularly. She spent extra time with Holly. We would have no issues whatsoever letting Tonya care for any of our dogs. She is like Family. Thanks Tonya.”

“Robert was amazing with my two dogs! He kept me updated with photos and took great care of them while I was away. They were happy and relaxed when I got back. Highly recommend him!”

“Alyssa took such great care of our two kitties on our ten day vacation. We had never left them this long and we were a little nervous, but couldn’t have had a better cat sitter. She sent lots of photos and detailed daily updates, and was super communicative beyond regular report card check-ins. And she left the sweetest gift! 1000% recommend.”

“Kristin was absolutely the best! Goose got so excited each day I dropped him off. Kristin was flexible with my changing work schedule and so loving towards my sweet boy. Will definitely be using her to care for my pup again.”

“Rhonda was warm and friendly! It seems that Dakota had a very interesting visit with her. This was the first time we had him to a sitter. He came home exhausted and happy!!”

About: I am a true animal lover. I have a level of empathy for pets that most people think is crazy. Your pet is part of your family and will be part of mine as well. I have a lot of love to give. I am more then happy to accept a million phone calls and texts because I know top care is important. I am patient and understanding and take the time to help with house breaking and learn new tricks. I use to breed Siberian huskies. That is one of the most energetic and mischevious breeds out there. I help with a local rescue in rehoming and donations. I am also actively involved with helping take strays to local vets and following up with owners. My family consists of me, my husband and our five children. There is always someone to give love and attention. We keep our own pets somewhat on a schedule and we play a lot in our back yard. I have a large fenced in yard and three very active dogs who enjoy to play. I also have 5 indoor cats. I can easily crate if needed.
“Christianna is wonderful! They are great with Copper, and she is usually always available late notice! I always receive pictures during the stay, and updates on food and potty breaks. Copper is always very excited when we arrive at Christianna's house, and he is always so happy when I pick him up. I would definitely recommend Christianna!!”

“BOOCHI’S FIRST DAY AT DAYCARE 🐶 All I can say is WOW... I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter than Monti! When it comes to loving on your fur baby & making them feel at home away from home, Monti is an absolute ANGEL!!! When we first met for our meet and greet last week, it was abundantly clear that Monti and her husband truly love and understand dogs. At first, I was hesitant to book my pup, Boochi, for his first day at daycare because he tends to be a bit picky and kinda anxious sometimes, but Monti and her hubby made him feel completely at home right away – it was like Boochi was part of their family! ❤️ Yesterday was Boochi’s first day at daycare, and he was initially a little nervous when I dropped him off… he wasn't sure whether to follow me or stay with Monti. Fortunately, Monti is a PRO with dogs, and she was SO on top of his care plan – you can tell that she honestly loves and cares about the dogs she watches. From bringing out an entire room full of toys to streaming Boochi's fave comfort cartoon, Monti went MUCH further than the extra mile to make sure that he was comfortable and content… and did I mention how well-fed Boochi was? Not only did she make him his fave lunch, but she even sent him home with cheerios and some leftover chicken with broth! Throughout the day, Monti sent me adorable photos and videos, as well as regular updates with cute little stories about Boochi’s first day at daycare – which really put my mind at ease while I was away… it was clear that Boochi was bonding with Monti, having an awesome time, and getting LOTS of love, attention, and “sugars” (aka kisses). Later, when I arrived for pick-up, Boochi almost didn’t want to leave… he was happy, totally relaxed, and sorta tired from his fun, eventful day – which is always a good sign! In fact, Boochi barely ran over to me because he had become SO comfortable with Monti! Ultimately, Boochi’s first day at daycare couldn’t have gone better! I’m SO glad we found Monti and her husband, and we will definitely be booking again ASAP… it’s such a relief to know that we’ve finally found someone that we can trust with our baby boy! For anyone seeking a warm, caring, professional, and reliable sitter who goes above and beyond to treat your fur baby like family, I HIGHLY recommend booking with Monti… and don’t just walk – RUN!!! 🐾”
“Taylor was fantastic. She is very flexible with her time and very patient. She arrived on time and did a great job with my high-energy Siberian Husky. I will definitely re-book her.”

“This family was great with my pomchi! They showed my puppy nothing but love and she loved them in return! I had to book with them last minute and they were okay with it and very flexible with their time and availability. I would definitely book again! Thank you so much!”

About: I have been a babysitter for over 20 years. Most of the families I worked with had pets, dogs or cats. I have had cats of my own over the years but now I help my mom take care of her 2 dogs. I recently moved to Newport News so I have a completely open schedule. I am already cooking fresh food for my mom's dogs and walking them regularly. Come join us. I prepare meals for my mom's dogs weekly. I research foods they can and cannot have to make sure they are happy and healthy. I also walk them 3 times a day minimum. There is a dog park on the premises but they mostly just sniff around :).

“The best doggie day camp available. Julie, her boys, the dogs, cats, etc. took the best care of my 2 month old Aussie. Even working on obedience and crate training. Highly recommend.”
“Michael and his wife took such great care of our puppy and made me feel such at ease being away! He sent updates throughout the day and the pictures he took of her were amazing! Highly recommended, he is now my go-to person!”

“We are so appreciative of Ricardo and his family opening up their home for our dogs. Taking it slow and making sure they have a good time while we are getting settled into our new house. We get pictures and updates throughout the day and our dogs are so excited to get there to spend the day. Very grateful to have found them nearby to us.”

About: As a stay at home and home school mom there is usually always someone home to love and play with our (your) animals. We have two daughters (17 & 15) and one son (10). *I’ve recently updated this profile to include the following: As an owner to two small dogs myself, I understand the worry and anxiety of leaving my small, fragile, pup, in the care of others who may have larger dogs coming and going where an accident can happen. I don’t like to take chances with one of my own, or one of yours getting hurt. Even by accident. I’ve recently updated my profile to only accept dogs up to a certain pound. This will help with my profile score, for the many dogs I’ve had to turn down. However, if you are a prior client, I will accept your larger dog (they’ve all been wonderful and fine because of my judgement at meet and greet) and in addition any future clients who have a small dog/big dog combo, I will consider a meet and greet to verify we would be a good fit and will make exceptions on a case by case. I will not be sitting for more than one family at a time. I’d like to advertise our service as a small dog oasis. We have tons of toys, treats, dogs beds, and love to offer to spoil and keep your little ones happy and safe. I know the peace and ease of mind I offer will stand out. I send pictures, and/or videos, daily, unless you ask me not to. I will also FaceTime you with your pet, upon request. * We have a 5 year old, 10lb Maltipoo, who acts more like an indoor cat, (sleeps a lot) and follows me everywhere, a 9 month old, 7lb, Malshi (Maltese Shitzu), who is a baby and wants to play with her toys all the time. We also have a 4 year old yellow lab, Sam, who acts like a lab. Aren’t they all full of energy? Sam likes to stay outside and loves his job as a guardian dog to our miniature goats. He comes in for freezing temperatures, over night to sleep, or heat advisories only. He’d rather be outside. All three get along with ALL animals, strays, neighbor’s yorkies’, neighbors dogs, etc. We have two acres of yard with a fenced in area that has a dog house, goat house, tree house, etc. which is where he stays. We are an animal loving family. No young kids that harm or hurt in any way. Your pets are guaranteed a “spoiled rotten” experience for sure. Schedule We are home most of the time. We let the pups run around and play inside. We prefer inside dogs over outside dogs, but will take the dogs outside many, many times to walk, run, and play. Just I inform us of their home habits of how often they like to go out. Safety, trust & environment- I am highly protective over the dogs well being. Safety and emotionally. We use leashes when walking/running your dog and to let them out to use the bathroom. Dogs are fed at separate locations to ensure no jealousy and fights. Not to mention stolen food and a hungry pup. The dogs we sit for sleep in the master bedroom. We sleep with the door shut. This is to ensure we can always have eyes and ears on your pup. No accidents or trouble to get into. They seem to like having the constant company around them, even if we are asleep, they know they’re not alone.

I’m experienced with a wide range of animals, from dogs and cats to large and farm animals like horses, goats, and chickens. This means I’m comfortable handling different routines, environments, and responsibilities with confidence. I also have a strong understanding of pets who need extra support, including seniors and those with anxiety. I take a calm, gentle approach, move at their pace, and prioritize building trust so they feel secure while you’re away. I pay close attention to small details—changes in behavior, appetite, or mood—so nothing gets overlooked. Combined with reliable communication and consistent updates, you can feel confident your animals are in capable, caring hands. Animals have been a constant part of my life, and caring for them is something I take seriously and genuinely enjoy. I provide reliable, attentive pet sitting for families who want their pets to feel safe, comfortable and loved while away. About: I am 27 years old and a recent graduate at Johnson and Wales University. I have been taking care of my dog India for the past 6 years I even trained her on my own. I even took her to college with me for 4 years. I also took care of a Scottish terrier when we had her when I was in high school. I currently help take care of and train my grandparents schnauzers. I have taken my dog on many walks and bath her weekly. I have experience taking care of a cat as well as horses! I am adept at dealing with dogs with separation anxiety, PTSD, and big personalities. I currently work full time and my schedule varies based on the week and holidays. I typically have off Tuesday, Sundays so I will be available all day those days. I am also usually off by 3 at work. I have a fenced in backyard but due to my dog India being so small we typically keep her on a leash when taking her outside. For my 2 lab puppies they just wander the backyard. I do request a meet and greet for most bookings for safety reasons for new clients. At your home I will ensure all instructions are followed based on the needs of your pets!
About: I have worked in and out of the veterinary field since I was 15, so I am well experienced with all types of animals, with varying degrees of care. I can come anytime during the day or night to help ! Feel free to reach out about any questions or scheduling needs! If you have a fenced yard, I am happy to play fetch, run around and play with your pups. I’m happy to take them on walks, dog parks, and adventures. I am very flexible and willing to do whatever is most helpful and causes the least amount of stress for you and your fur babies.

I look forward to taking care of your fur baby! :) My schedule is very flexible and I am currently working part time, so i will have plenty of time to play with your fur baby! About: Im currently in vet tech school and I have included photos of the some of the dogs i own, rescued, and babysat over the years. Your babies are in good hands. I’m currently working par-time, because of school and this would help gain more experience with caring for and handling different animals with the field I'm going into. I have a fenced backyard with four other dogs who are friendly and would love to meet other dogs. But i have no problem keeping them separate if that is what you would prefer.
About: I’ve worked in animal rescue since I was 8, during that time I fostered countless dogs, cats, kittens and puppies. I grew up with four family dogs, one of whom was special needs and a Chihuahua who I brought with me when I moved out, she was my baby until she passed at 16 years old. Now I have Pepper, a psycho but very lovable German Shepherd/Border Collie mix. I have a very flexible schedule and I try to keep my calendar up to date but just check with me and I’ll let you know if I’m available! I’m a stickler for detail so I will follow your instructions to a T. Depending on your dogs needs, a day at your home may look like frequent play-time, a 30 minute walk, maybe some light obedience training and lots of love.
About: I’ve had dogs in my home my entire life and have always been an animal lover ever since I was a child! A fun little backstory about me...most teenagers get jobs to have money to go to the mall or whatever it is that they want to do, well my goal was to save up all the money I made and get my own puppy. That was one of the best things I ever did, I had her for 16 years. Other than having dogs all my life, I also have kennel technician and veterinary assistant experience. Before I moved back to North Carolina, I was working the front desk at a non profit animal hospital. I feel that I am a very genuine and good hearted person. I am willing to walk/jog/run/play fetch, honestly, I will do pretty much anything to make them happy while you’re away and would love to build a relationship with your fur baby!! I’m a stay at home mom, so my schedule is pretty open every day!♥️. It’s just my 4 year old and I until about 4pm Monday-Friday, so as long as your fur baby is good with kids anytime from early morning until then works! After 4 I have open availability without him (incase your baby isn’t good with kids). My weekends are generally 100% open so I’d love to help in any way that I can! Hope to hear from you!! 🤗 I can care for your pet(s) in my home or yours. Whichever you prefer. I promise I will always make sure that they feel comfortable, loved, and happy.

“Duke,Scooby, and Brittany loved their stay with Jenny. They especially loved being able to go in and out as they wanted. Duke and Scooby enjoyed their supervised swim times to the pond. We got to see Duke and Scooby swim before we left. We knew they were going to enjoy their stay. Pictures showed they were being themselves doing what they wanted to do.”

“First time leaving my pup with Rebecca. I am very high maintenance, though my dog is usually super easy. Rebecca was so easy to work with. She was so responsive, sent me lots of great photos and happily answered my neurotic questions about whether Milo ate, etc. Rebecca is a great sitter. Highly recommend.”
