“Absolutely fantastic! John and Zena took excellent care of Fergus. John is a real animal lover and I felt very comfortable to leave Fergus with him. I loved the daily check-ins with news on how Fergus was bonding with John 😊. Fergus had an amazing time and we will definitely be relying on John and Zena when we go out of town again!”

“Eric and his family were phenomenal with my highly energetic, easily bored, pup! It’s a little scary leaving your dog for a week, but Eddy was very well taken care during his stay! He updated us when needed, and assured us how well Eddy was doing. The communication and pictures of my dog helped ease the nerves and certainly assured us all was great! We will definitely be reaching out to Eric again the next time we head to NC, and I highly recommend Eric if you’re looking for a great dog sitter!”

“Lauren did a wonderful job with Mabel. Appreciated the meet and greet, as well as the communications/photos while we were away. Would definitely rebook with Lauren and highly recommend her pet sitting services.”

“Mabel had so much fun staying with Ricardo while we went on vacation. She enjoyed making new friends. This was the first time she stayed with someone she wasn't familiar with so she had a little anxiety at first but Ricardo was able to comfort her and she warmed right up making herself at home. Ricardo kept us updated daily on how our girl was doing and sent pictures which made us more comfortable leaving her. We will definitely be using Ricardo again!”

“I would definitely recommend Megaan for anyone and their fur babies. Meagan‘s communication was top-tier and she provided us with a picture of our boy every day. We felt extremely safe leaving him with her. Meagan was very attentive to any instructions that we left. We definitely plan to rebook with her in the future.”

“Andrew & Amanda & their little pup Chorizo were amazing with our Maltipoo. They communicated so well, answering our questions before we even asked, and sending photos. They treated her as if she was their own.”

“Sherry was great. I was scared to leave the pup with strangers but her home has a welcoming atmosphere. Obi seemed very relaxed and comfortable so I knew he was in safe hands.”

“I don’t have words good enough to describe our experience. Bruno was so loved and cared for, and it truly felt like he was at home. She sent frequent updates and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We couldn’t have asked for a better dog boarding experience. She is simply the best, and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pet like family. We will absolutely trust her with Bruno again!”

“This was my first time using Rover, and it was a wonderful experience! My dog is 12 years old and blind, so at first I was anxious about leaving her under someone else’s care. Jiyali made me feel very comfortable with her listed experience and asking the right questions before dropping her off to make sure she would be comfortable and happy during her stay. She sent frequent updates, and in every photo and video my dog looked so happy to be there! The process was very convenient, and both me and my dog were comfortable with the care she provided and will definitely request her again. I’m grateful to have found someone that could ease my anxiety and make the experience wonderful. Thank you so much for everything!”

“We are so pleased to have found this wonderful family to take care of our Tilly. We received sweet updates and pictures of our four legged family member thoughout her stay, she was treated as one of their own fur family members. We want to thank them for taking such good and gracious care of our pupper. This was our first experience using Rover.com and with this family your pupper will be well cared for and loved. Thank you to all of you for your kindness and care towards our girl.”

“Beverly is such a sweet and gentle dog sitter! She sends updates and is always out and about walking the dog, taking him on errands, and giving snuggles. He always smells better than when I dropped him off haha; that’s a plus! It’s definitely a vacation of love and fun for my fifteen year old chorkie! Will continue to resource her for care.”

“christie & her family were so awesome! she sent me pictures of my dog & he acted like he didn’t even want to come home when it was time to pick him up! :) i will definitely be booking with her again.”

About: From a young age I've been helping my mother take care of the many dogs we owned. Through the years we've also had everything from horses, cats, chickens, pigs and even rodents. It just seems fitting now that I'm an adult I would become an animal caretaker. I am willing to take care of almost any animal, if you have something unusual just ask. However I do prefer to not have to take care of certain reptiles. I'm currently unemployed so I am available most times of the week. I'm able to come take care of your pets whenever you are in need. I will follow all the rules that you would have about your pet and home. I will keep a very watchful eye on them at all times.
About: I’ve had dogs in my home my entire life and have always been an animal lover ever since I was a child! A fun little backstory about me...most teenagers get jobs to have money to go to the mall or whatever it is that they want to do, well my goal was to save up all the money I made and get my own puppy. That was one of the best things I ever did, I had her for 16 years. Other than having dogs all my life, I also have kennel technician and veterinary assistant experience. Before I moved back to North Carolina, I was working the front desk at a non profit animal hospital. I feel that I am a very genuine and good hearted person. I am willing to walk/jog/run/play fetch, honestly, I will do pretty much anything to make them happy while you’re away and would love to build a relationship with your fur baby!! I’m a stay at home mom, so my schedule is pretty open every day!♥️. It’s just my 4 year old and I until about 4pm Monday-Friday, so as long as your fur baby is good with kids anytime from early morning until then works! After 4 I have open availability without him (incase your baby isn’t good with kids). My weekends are generally 100% open so I’d love to help in any way that I can! Hope to hear from you!! 🤗 I can care for your pet(s) in my home or yours. Whichever you prefer. I promise I will always make sure that they feel comfortable, loved, and happy.

They also will enjoy being able to roam free while I'm here. However, on a few occasions I may leave for 3-4 hrs for a client meeting. Presently only taking non-aggressive pets. I'm happy to pickup or drop off your pup if needed. Only willing to do house sitting in a non-smoking home and fully Air conditioned/heated. “Rose took good care of my Rocky for the day. She had a nice private, air-conditioned room for him with a fenced yard. She also sent me updates with photos during the day.”

About: I currently have two well loved pups, both on daily medication. I believe every pup deserves love, regardless of behavior or perceived aggression. I have experience with heartworm positive dogs as well as dogs who experience seizures. I am a current college student living at home with my family so I am available with lots of free time for your furry friend! I will occasionally have my partner over for meals or to just hang out if I am house sitting, depending on the distance and length of the booking. I believe that keeping an animal clean and safe is the best way to ensure health, as well as making sure the animal is comfortable with me. If I am watching someone who is shy, I am more than happy to give them their space (while ensuring they are safe).

Adventure-ready dog walkers - Shawboro
“I'm basing this review on my limited experience with hiring dog walkers. This is my first time using this app or any dog walker services for that matter. I was amazed how easy it was to sign up and find a qualified dog walker under such short notice. I was worried my dog's stature and puppy manners would be intimidating, but was worried for nothing. The walker, Renee, handled him really well and passed in flying colors. Will use this service and walker again in the future if the need arises again.”

About: I have always had a fur baby growing up and I can’t imagine not having one around now. They bring light and joy and love and I make it my life’s mission to show them the same! I have worked with senior dogs that have required medicines as well as ones that just need all the loves. I have personally owned dogs, cats and even rabbits and I’ve loved each and every one of them equally! My current fur baby is a blind cat who requires some extra attention but she just lives her life as though she doesn’t have this disorder. Your fur babies are in good, loving hands with me and I can’t wait to meet and snuggle with them! As of right now, I am wide open and flexible on availability! Whether you’re going on vacation or just need a friendly face to stop by and keep them company for a bit. Your rules are my rules. If your pup needs to wear shoes and a coat on a walk I’ll gladly dress him/her to the nines! If they need to be fed and crated after the walk, I got you! If they need medicines administered I can do that. We will talk details when we meet!

I have my own transportation so that won't be a problem either I will do my best to walk the dog safely and to make sure they have food and water. I will also make sure that they feel loved

About: I have always loved and been surrounded by dogs growing up. I'm looking for some fur babies to spoil. I would love to take them for walks or just leisurely relax on porch if they prefer. Happy to snuggle up and watch a movie. If they enjoy belly rubs or playing fetch give me a call. I work from home so I am here most of the day to provide love and affection to your pets. My schedule is accommodating so I'm open to last minute bookings and can guarantee quality time with your pet. Please feel free to text or call. Look forward to meeting and getting to know your pup. I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm available for sitting most weekdays and weekends just let me know what days you need. I will be happy to take your dog for a walk on a leash during the day or let them run around in a fenced yard if you have one. I can easily crate them if you need me to.
About: I have been taking car of all kinds of dogs for years. I've watched dogs from Labrador puppies to senior German Shepards. I've owned dogs my whole life and I've always had a special bond with them. Dogs usually gravitate towards me because I am a very fun and light hearted person. My friends often refer to me as a Disney princess because of how I am with animals. I belive all animals need love and respect and I always do my best to make them feel safe and loved. I am a nanny for a mother of three during the day but I am usually only needed two or three days a week so my weekends are completely free. Even days when I watch my kids I am off by 3pm and can spend evenings with the pets. I have several dogs of my own so my house is fully equipped with w fenced in yard and my house is pet safe. In regards to a clients home I would of course check what the client has in place but as a pet owner I am also aware pets can be sneaky and love to get into mischief. I am always checking on clients pets making sure they are safe and not getting into things they shouldn't. I am also certified in pet cpr and massage therapy incase a pet does get into distress or if they need some other help with pain. Over all my priority is always the health and safety of my client beloved pets.
About: As a pet sitter, my goal is to provide more than basic care. I want your dog to feel safe, understood, and comfortable in your absence while maintaining the routines and expectations they are accustomed to at home. I understand the importance of secure handling, appropriate exercise, mental stimulation, and respecting each dog’s individual temperament. I am especially passionate about caring for working and high-drive breeds, including dogs that may require experienced handling, structured routines, or additional enrichment. I also understand that some dogs can be sensitive to changes in environment or routine, and I strive to make their time away from their owners as stress-free as possible. Your pets are part of your family, and I treat their care with the same seriousness, attention, and respect I would expect for my own animals. My years of experience with working dogs allow me to provide knowledgeable, dependable, and individualized care for dogs that need someone who truly understands them. Running my own farm allows me the freedom and flexibility to accommodate almost any routines needed for daily walks or drop ins or house sitting. I’ll provide attentive care tailored to your pet’s individual needs, including feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, companionship, and basic household care. With 25 years of experience working with animals, I’m comfortable caring for pets with a variety of personalities, energy levels, and routines.
About: I have taken care of both dogs and cats of all ages since the age of nine. My son is 13 and a very big cat lover! He will not be assisting with pet care, but does reside in the home. We have two cats Everest(8) and Harley(5), and one dog Layla(1). Our home features two large automatic litter boxes, one 5ft scratching post with other small ones throughout the home, enrichment toys, beds, pet blankets, and two filtered water fountains available 24 hours a day. Both cats are on feeding schedules, so your baby will also need to be on a schedule- we can discuss what times work best for your pet! Layla is crate trained and does not free roam without supervision. We also have a spare bedroom for pets that need some time to adjust or need more space away from all the uncertainties of a new home. We will treat your baby like our own and accommodate, so they can feel at ease! *Currently taking the month of September off from my primary job, so will be entirely available for bookings through Rover. I work 4-5 days a week, 5-6 hour days. My schedule can be altered as needed because my pets are just as important as any other family member. My pets are very well cared for and prioritized just as any living being should be. They are treated with kindness and care with regular checkups and special care catered to their individual personalities.

“Alyssa was flexible with our crazy Navy scheduling and constantly sent funny/cute pictures of our pup while she let him out around lunch. Would highly recommend!! She will love your pup as much as you do!!”

About: Hello! I am currently in school to be a registered veterinary technician, but I have experience at an animal shelter and veterinary clinic working as a Veterinary Assistant. I am so passionate about this line of work! I have always had pets growing up and my love for them has grown more and more as I’ve gotten older. My mom has 9 cats a dog and a duck! I have a passion for understanding and learning about all different types of animals. I would love to meet with all of y’all before starting our sittings or walks. Just to better understand your pet and their needs plus getting to know you! Anytime I am not working I would love to help as much of y’all with caring for your sweet animals as possible! Right now I work Mondays Wednesdays Thursdays and Fridays but soon I will strictly be doing school so I will be home mostly so my schedule will be much more open! I am unable to bring dogs or cats into my home:( However, I can most definitely come sit your animals in your home! Thanks for understanding

“Absolutely fantastic! John and Zena took excellent care of Fergus. John is a real animal lover and I felt very comfortable to leave Fergus with him.

“Leslie was amazing! Our dogs are generally not good around strangers or other dogs so it becomes very difficult to find a dog boarder. Leslie's exceptional experience with dogs kept them right at home at her place. I was hesitant because she has a young daughter but she insisted that they became best friends. Her love and care towards animals showed and I would trust her over and over again to take care of my fur children. Thanks Leslie!”

“We had a great experience with Kathleen, great communication. Even before we dropped off our dog she was communicating with us and answered any concerns I had. Stays in contact and is great with keeping you updated with what the dog is doing through great videos and a lot good pictures. If you’re looking for a great person to take of your dog you found the right person. Thank you for everything Kathleen.”

“Nicole is amazing! Our dogs were so happy and came back nice and tired. We don't have the easiest dogs and she handled them like a pro. Definitely recommend and will continue to use her!”
