About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have cared for four dogs of different ages, breeds, and sizes. I currently have an 8-year-old mutt named Tucker who is incredibly sweet. Tucker previously went through heartworm treatment, so I have experience following medication schedules and giving medication as directed. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playing, basic grooming, and giving pets plenty of attention. I’ve also owned and cared for parrots, iguanas, lizards, hamsters, and many other animals. I genuinely love animals and will treat every pet like one of my own. I’m currently in college and only have about three hours of class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of free time to give your pets the attention they deserve. I’m available throughout most of the week for walks, drop-ins, playtime, feeding, and spending quality time with your pets. My apartment is very pet-friendly and comfortable, with plenty of places for dogs to relax. I even have a couch specifically for dogs, along with a dog bed and other cozy spots throughout the apartment. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and at home while they’re with me, and I’m happy to follow any routines or special instructions you provide.

About: I cannot remember a time in my life where my family didn’t have cats growing up. It was instilled in me at a very young age on how to provide space, love and comfort to any temperament of feline we adopted throughout the years. Our Bengal is a true member of our family!

“Katy took care of my 5-month-old puppy, Bagel, for three days while I was in the area taking a painting class. Bagel is a very sweet, social and energetic puppy who loves people and other dogs, but he can become overstimulated around other dogs and doesn’t always know how to settle himself yet. Although I had explained that ahead of time, I don’t think either Katy or I realized just how difficult it would be for him to settle in a new home with another dog around. Katy really did try hard to make him comfortable. She took him on walks, played with him, worked on calming him down, and even made a trip to the pet store for a stronger harness, leash, blanket, treats and other things she thought might help. She communicated with me throughout the day and was very honest when she felt Bagel was becoming more than she could comfortably manage for a full day. After two particularly challenging days, we agreed to shorten his third day. Interestingly, he seemed to be settling in better by then, and Katy ended up keeping him until about 2:00 rather than the noon pickup we had planned. Bagel was always happy to see Katy and willingly went with her each morning, which meant a lot to me. I also really liked Katy personally and appreciated how much she cared about making the situation work. Bagel was simply a much bigger handful in her home than I expected, and I think being around another dog all day made it especially hard for him to turn himself off and rest. I’m grateful for the effort Katy put in and for how much she genuinely cared about Bagel during his stay.”

I’m a senior at Appalachian State, and my class schedule gives me plenty of flexibility throughout the week, including days when I only have one or two classes. I have a dog of my own, so potty breaks, walks, and getting outside are already a big part of my everyday routine—and I’d love for your dog to join us! I especially love long walks, trips to the dog park, and finding fun ways for dogs to get their energy out while getting plenty of attention along the way. I know every pet has their own personality and routine, so I make sure to care for them in the way that makes them happiest and most comfortable. Whether that means extra playtime, lots of cuddles, a favorite walking route, or simply some quiet company, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.

About: I have two family dogs of my own ages 8 and 7. Beyond caring for these two, I have walked a golden retriever occasionally for a while and assisted with neighbor care of other dogs. I am currently a full time employee, but beyond my work I am more than happy to come play and walk your fur baby! While I work a traditional 8-5, I am happy to come by on my lunch break and after work. I am happy to bring your dog around town for a good walk. I am also happy to just walk them in your neighborhood and play with your dog for extended time depending on the day of the week.

About: I have taken care of animals ever since I was 10 years old. I would always walk dogs around my neighborhood and to check in on cats as well. I love hanging out and loving on all animals! At school there is plenty of grass for the dogs to run around and I am able to bring the crate and everything into my apartment if needed. Cats, I am also available to do whatever is helpful and needed! I have my own space with no other animals!

About: My family and I have fostered dogs and cats for the last 12 years. Through this I have gained valuable experience with working with a variety of dog breeds. Although, my experience goes beyond this as my love for animals is one of my greatest traits. While working pastime at a childcare facility, I have enough time throughout the day to check on your pet, let them out for a potty break, or just keep them company! Depending if I have any other activities or events to attend to, I’m pretty much free all the time. I currently have 3 dogs and 2 cats. For the dogs, we have a large, fenced in yard with plenty of room for them to run and play. All of our dogs have leashes and collars to ensure safety for us and our pets. As for the cats, they each have their own litter box which is scooped daily and their own food bowls.

About: I have been taking care of all kinds of pets, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, bearded dragons, etc, for 10+ years, and would love to meet yours! Earned CVA license after 300 hours of veterinary internship. I am currently a college student at Appalachian State University, so as long as my course schedule does not interfere with pet care, I am available! About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life since I was a toddler. I have fostered, pet sat for friends and family many times and recently lost my own dog of 13 years. I recently retired and miss having a pup in my life. I’m available and flexible for daily walks as well as able to provide boarding in my home. I am very attentive and loving toward all fur babies. About: Retired from workforce, former military, active person, daily walks with our dogs—neighborhood, parks, trails. Worked with certified dog trainer for our two dogs. Time on my hands. I am retired and have plenty of time when not playing with our own two dogs and exercising. They are the center of our lives. We have a fenced in back yard for our dogs. Since I am retired, and my wife works part time, I spend most of my time with our dogs. We will not bring client’s pets to our home nor will my wife be a caretaker.

About: I have been caring for pets since a very young age, rarely going any time in my life without a cat, dog, mouse or snake! I am currently staying home full-time with plenty of space to welcome furry friends into our little sanctuary while providing lots of love, care, patience and play!
