I recently moved here from Michigan to live with my husband here in the Slocum neighborhood in Havelock North Carolina. Back home I have two puppies, Millie and Ruby and here in North Carolina I have a puppy and kitty named pepper and maple. Back home I have been reliable to take care of my neighbors dog and cat to take care of them by feeding their dog and cat, taking their dog for walks, playing with their dog and cat and making sure their dog goes outside to go potty. I love being a parent to my puppy and kitty and it’s the best part of my day to come home to them 💕🐾🐶🐱 I’m unemployed and currently looking for a job but I’ll be able to take care of your animals during the day throughout the week and at night if needed. I have a fenced in backyard which is where I take out my puppy maple out to go potty. As mentioned before I have kitty named pepper as well. Maple is 6-7 months old and gets along well with other animals and is a very friendly and social dog. I take maple for walks and sometimes for runs often. We do have a pet scorpion as well but he stays in an enclosed glass cage away from the other animals. Pepper has her own room where she sleeps and has a litter box, a cat tree, and a food and water bowl. Both pepper and maple are allowed on the furniture and maple has a dog kennel and two dog beds but she sleeps in our room. And she also has a food and water bowl in the kitchen area. There are plenty of toys for the animals to play with but you are welcome to bring your own toys as well. I would also like to add that there will be no additional caretakers and it’ll just be me.

Whether your pet is shy or full of energy, I’m here to meet them where they are and make them feel right at home. I am self employed and work from home with a flexible schedule so I have time to dedicate to your pups and kitties! I can typically accommodate last minute bookings. As stated prior, my dog (who has now passed) was a service dog and went through safety training. I learned a lot throughout that course about pet handling and care. I am active and fit and can work with with animals from the smallest of kittens to the largest of pups!

About: I grew up on a farm with dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens, donkeys, pigs, fish, and the occasional duck or goose. I was responsible for a lot of their care before and after school, and I worked as a kennel technician for a couple of years. Currently I work on Duke’s campus with sick dogs in the pediatric department. I also just love animals! I’m good at attention to detail, cleaning up after pets, feeding/watering/medicating, and walking. I’m comfortable with any and all kinds of pets. I am a student, so I would be available for pet care before/at 12:30pm and after 4:30pm on week days, and available all day on weekends. I can also spend nights as needed. I am not able to keep pets in my dorm as it is against university policy but I would be more than happy to commute or spend nights for house/petsitting. I have done so before, and I do very well with this. I find it to be a fun experience

About: I grew up with cats. I got my first cat for my 6th Christmas. Many of my current clients also have cats, many with dogs. I love my feline toe bean furbabies just as much even if some can be shy some times.

Her attention to detail with our meet and greet gave me confidence but she really knocked it out of the oark with her stellar care. Weird measure metric I know but whenever we're away, his coat gets oily like he gets sad and doesn't clean himself. When we got home today he was happy, clean, and soft. So I know for sure he really enjoyed her company. I absolutely recommend her and will reach out to her for our future pet sitting needs.”

About: I have been caring for animals my entire life as a child, wildlife rehabilitator and as a wildlife biologist. For the last year and a half I have built a very nice reputation as a dependable and loving pet sitter. I have watched dogs, cats and birds! I have taken care of many senior dogs as well as a few puppies. Needless to say I’m not afraid of a pee pad or pill bottles! I work remotely and choose my hours, meaning, I can be with your animals at all time if need be. I do not mind staying with them 24/7 while you are away. It also means you can contact me any time that you need too. I live on a dead end road with very low traffic and have a very large yard. We will also go for nice walks down to the river where our road ends and a trail leads out to the river. My two main borders often do not want to leave or they want to come back home with me. It’s a great spot for dogs, whether they need to be leashed or not. If I am staying at your house I will always follow their normal routine. I really like for my clients to leave a note with food instructions, treat instructions, medicine, and daily routine. I also like to have a just incase number (neighbor or family member in the area) and the veterinarian. This is all just incase of an emergency and to make sure your pet stays safe and has the best time possible with me.

About: I've been around and owned dogs all my life. My breed of choice is the German Shepherd, but I've had many different furry friends in my life. I also spent 7 years volunteering at Saving Grace in Raleigh - helping with rescue dogs. I'm retired, and I see this as a way to enjoy walking and being with dogs. All three of my shepherds were trained by me. One was off-leash trained. I'm just interested in walking dogs, but as I've stated, I'm highly trained to walk and care for any breed. Your pup will have fun walking with me!

I prefer Havelock clients for in house sitter jobs. If you need a lot of check ins I would rather keep your fur baby at my house, to avoid charging more for gas. I care for pets in their homes based on the guidelines the owners set out. I will always check their food and water bowls, walk or play outside and bathroom break.

The first words most people would use to describe me would be "animal lover"! -Professionally, I have veterinary and animal handling experience. I worked as a Licensed Veterinary Technician Assistant between college and graduate school, which gave me experience with administering medication, pet safety,checking vital signs, soothing anxious pets, basic grooming, etc. I also spent two years in grad school walking dogs,boarding, and doing check-ins with "Wag!" which I thoroughly enjoyed! Professionally, I am a biologist and have a working knowledge of animal physiology -I have personally mothered and treated a Heartworm Positive dog, so I am well-versed in caring for a pup currently undergoing that! With my current seasonal position coming to an end, I expect to have a wide open schedule for the next few months. I am a pretty early riser, but can be flexible It is priority to make sure that your pet is as comfortable as possible while missing you! I choose to not use a crate with my dog, but can with yours if you prefer that. I'm very active and like to ensure that animals get as much activity and enrichment as they like. I am very big on sending lots of photos and video updates on your pet throughout the day!

About: I’ve cared to dogs since I was 12, beginning with family pets and expanding to neighbors and friends. I helped raise a littler of ten black lab puppies, ensuring they received proper nutrition and constant affection. I’ve cared for many breeds in a variety of settings, including watching and managing up to 5 black labs at once, taking them on structured walks, playing with there favorite toys and keeping their routines calm and consistent. My experience cover feeding schedules, baths, crate safety and off leash play. I am currently a student at coastal Carolina community college as a dental assisting student. Mondays and Thursday I get out of class at 11:40 and 12:50. Tuesdays I arrive at school @11 and leave @3:40, Wednesdays 8-2:40 and Fridays 10-2:40. On weekends I’m available and times after school. I have a back yard, not fenced in. Pets in my home are not treated bad, not screamed at or hit to be punished. They are always treated like my own, with cuddles, little snacks if allowed and plenty of play time. They would go on walks and be seen by other individuals for petting if the owner is comfortable.
