About: I have had, rescued, and taken care of a wide variety of dogs from smaller malti-poos to a Dane who had been living on the street, was skin and bones, and ended up 188 lbs. Currently I have Pippa, a 7-year-old Labrador who is allergic to chicken, so I make part of her food. I am home most of the time, except when I host overly-complex board games at the Hickory Library or the Highland Rec Center -- and those sessions are at most 3 hours long. I am home most days, except when I am hosting 3-hour board games at the local library and rec center. Otherwise, I take care of our house and rental properties. I have a large fenced yard -- especially-so since my house sits along North Center Street. I also use carabiners to make sure that gates are locked.

I keep a good eye on them and don't like to by physically away from them for long as I know it can be a hard transition sometimes.
About: I have been taking care of animals since I was a little girl. I am currently a full-time student at Appalachian State University studying Veterinary Technology. I am going to be entering my third year in the fall. I am looking to spend time with fur babies while I am completing school! I’ve worked with many pet owners who are apprehensive to leave their pets with anyone due to the pet’s nervous temperaments, and other various quirks, and every single time the animals have surprised their owners by completely settling in with me. I prioritize play, love, and connecting with each individual pet I watch however they specifically need. We go on walks and I have a long chain for the dogs to explore the yard with. I live in a safe neighborhood with no worries or issues. I treat the dogs like family. They can be on furniture and I normally do not crate my dog. If yours needs crated I have a spare room so they can feel safe and not upset not being with my dog.
