A few days before the stay, they invited me over for a meet-and-greet so I could get a feel for their home, meet them, and introduce my dog to their sweet pup, Lana. The moment I walked in, I knew they were the right people. Their space was welcoming, safe, and dog-friendly, and their kind energy instantly put me at ease. Throughout the stay, they went above and beyond. They sent frequent updates and lots of pictures, which made me smile every time. It was so comforting to see my dog happy, relaxed, and having a blast with Lana. About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have cared for four dogs of different ages, breeds, and sizes. I currently have an 8-year-old mutt named Tucker who is incredibly sweet. Tucker previously went through heartworm treatment, so I have experience following medication schedules and giving medication as directed. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playing, basic grooming, and giving pets plenty of attention. I’ve also owned and cared for parrots, iguanas, lizards, hamsters, and many other animals. I genuinely love animals and will treat every pet like one of my own. I’m currently in college and only have about three hours of class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of free time to give your pets the attention they deserve. I’m available throughout most of the week for walks, drop-ins, playtime, feeding, and spending quality time with your pets. My apartment is very pet-friendly and comfortable, with plenty of places for dogs to relax. I even have a couch specifically for dogs, along with a dog bed and other cozy spots throughout the apartment. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and at home while they’re with me, and I’m happy to follow any routines or special instructions you provide.

About: Until 6 years ago I've ALWAYS had a kitty of my own since I was 13. Usually just one sometimes 2 or 3 and the one time 2 adults and 5 babies. My absolute favorite is male tabbys especially the big body ones lol. Just something about those chunky orange kitties I can't resist.

We recently lost our dog to cancer at just shy of 13 years old, and I’m currently volunteering as a dog walker at the animal shelter to help fill that void. With the limited hours available there, I thought we could try this avenue as well. I work full time, but my daughter and I would love to find a dog to walk Wednesday through Friday evenings, or weekends! We are available some weekends for dog/cat care while you’re away as well. About: What sets me apart from other sitters is that I have been taking care of animals since I was 15 years old. I stared working at a vets office and haven’t looked back. Pet care can look like many different things in my week such as, a single feeding, a walk, a check in or the full on in home service with all the feedings and all the walks. While, I would love to have every dog and cat over to my house I can’t realistically do that b/c I own a cat who does love other cats and she tolerates dogs, your dog or cat would have to be cat friendly. “Katy took care of my 5-month-old puppy, Bagel, for three days while I was in the area taking a painting class. Bagel is a very sweet, social and energetic puppy who loves people and other dogs, but he can become overstimulated around other dogs and doesn’t always know how to settle himself yet. Although I had explained that ahead of time, I don’t think either Katy or I realized just how difficult it would be for him to settle in a new home with another dog around. Katy really did try hard to make him comfortable. She took him on walks, played with him, worked on calming him down, and even made a trip to the pet store for a stronger harness, leash, blanket, treats and other things she thought might help. She communicated with me throughout the day and was very honest when she felt Bagel was becoming more than she could comfortably manage for a full day. After two particularly challenging days, we agreed to shorten his third day. Interestingly, he seemed to be settling in better by then, and Katy ended up keeping him until about 2:00 rather than the noon pickup we had planned. Bagel was always happy to see Katy and willingly went with her each morning, which meant a lot to me. I also really liked Katy personally and appreciated how much she cared about making the situation work. Bagel was simply a much bigger handful in her home than I expected, and I think being around another dog all day made it especially hard for him to turn himself off and rest. I’m grateful for the effort Katy put in and for how much she genuinely cared about Bagel during his stay.”

“I had an emergency and needed someone to take my two rough collies on their twice-daily walks. One is a retired service dog who is deaf, and the other is a young collie with epilepsy. Because of their special needs, I was quite anxious about finding the right person. Caitlin was exactly what I needed. She had a calm, reassuring presence and was warm, gentle, and playful with both dogs. She quickly understood their individual needs. By the second day, they were eagerly waiting for her arrival. Luna, the service dog, had never “done her business” on a leash before, but with Caitlin, she had no hesitation. Seeing that I have limited mobility, Catlin asked if there were other things she could do to be helpful.. I admire her initiative and appreciated her help. I will definitely be calling on her again.”

Currently working my own flexible schedule so I can make any time work that your fur baby needs. Some pets are used to early mornings and some are used to late evenings. Whatever works for yours! My kitties eat raw, so I make their food daily and give them specific supplements and treats depending on their behavior and the litterbox situation. I'm in tune with my kitty's behaviors and meows knowing what they're requesting in that moment. When caring for other people's pets, I'm mindful of where we use the bathroom (if possible) and clean up appropriately. No details are too many, I'm very supportive of specific needs and how your fur baby may be familiar with their care.

About: II’ve loved animals my whole life and have a natural gift for connecting with them—especially cats! I have extensive experience with medical care, including giving injections, liquid medications, and complex pill schedules. I also previously held a Groomer’s License in Colorado, so I am very comfortable handling pets of all sizes and temperaments. I’ve cared for animals with everything from broken limbs to chronic diseases, so your pet is in very capable hands." I moved to Elizabethton just before Thanksgiving to be with my parents and I became the primary caregiver for my father, who has dementia. It’s a responsibility I’m proud to take on. Getting out of the house to walk, play with, and fall in love with your pets is exactly what I need to stay balanced. Since I manage my dad’s daily tasks, I have a very flexible schedule and the time to truly focus on your fur-babies. I’m looking for that 'pet therapy' a reason to get out and about just as much as your pets are looking for a loving caregiver. I’ll be there whenever you need me to even in short notice! Safety and trust are my top priorities. When I am in your home, I am respectful of your space and extremely vigilant about door safety and environment hazards. I am honest about my capabilities; I would never attempt a medical or care task if I wasn't 100% confident I could do it safely. My vehicle is also set up for safety, with plenty of room and when needed a leash that conect to their collar or harness then buckes to the backseat so your pets are secure while we are on the go.
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is that I have been taking care of animals since I was 15 years old. I stared working at a vets office and haven’t looked back. Pet care can look like many different things in my week such as, a single feeding, a walk, a check in or the full on in home service with all the feedings and all the walks. While, I would love to have every dog and cat over to my house I can’t realistically do that b/c I own a cat who does love other cats and she tolerates dogs, your dog or cat would have to be cat friendly. So most of my jobs are me coming to your home whether that is a drop in or a full time boarding situation while you’re on vacation.

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have cared for four dogs of different ages, breeds, and sizes. I currently have an 8-year-old mutt named Tucker who is incredibly sweet. Tucker previously went through heartworm treatment, so I have experience following medication schedules and giving medication as directed. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playing, basic grooming, and giving pets plenty of attention. I’ve also owned and cared for parrots, iguanas, lizards, hamsters, and many other animals. I genuinely love animals and will treat every pet like one of my own. I’m currently in college and only have about three hours of class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of free time to give your pets the attention they deserve. I’m available throughout most of the week for walks, drop-ins, playtime, feeding, and spending quality time with your pets. My apartment is very pet-friendly and comfortable, with plenty of places for dogs to relax. I even have a couch specifically for dogs, along with a dog bed and other cozy spots throughout the apartment. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and at home while they’re with me, and I’m happy to follow any routines or special instructions you provide.
About: I’ve been around animals my whole life! I’ve done everything from fostering to raising litters of puppies and kittens. I’m an active person so there is no shortage of playtime. I’m very dedicated to providing the love and support pets need! Caring for pets is always a priority of mine as I currently own a dog and cat myself. I work part time so my schedule is very flexible. I have a spare bedroom in my house with a large mattress for pets to rest on. There is space for a crate if needed. My backyard is very spacious. My area is fairly quiet as I live outside the city. I also have a very friendly dog and cat so your pets can have new friends (can be separated if needed).
