About: Animals have always been the center of my life. I'm currently a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and PhD student at North Carolina State University, where I focus on animal health and welfare. Before returning to veterinary school, I spent over a decade leading teams in the technology industry, so reliability, communication, and professionalism are second nature. Whether your pet is an energetic puppy, an older parrot, an independent and opinionated cat, or a shy saltwater goby, I take care of them all. For every single animal, from a senior who needs a slower pace or simply loves extra attention, I'll care for them as if they were my own. I understand normal pet behavior, can recognize when something doesn't seem right, and I'm comfortable administering most medications if needed. While you're away, you can expect: Frequent photo and video updates Prompt communication Play and engagement tailored to their energy level Plenty of affection and enrichment Respect for your pet's routine and training I know leaving your pet with someone else can be stressful. My goal is to make both you and your loved one feel completely at ease from our first meet-and-greet through the moment you return home. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend(s)! My dissertation-writing schedule gives me the flexibility to provide dependable, individualized care without rushing from place to place. Caring for pets is something I intentionally weave into my day, so your dog or cat receives genuine attention, enrichment, and companionship, not just a quick stop in. I love having animals as part of my daily routine, and I strive to make every visit feel calm, engaging, and tailored to your pet's unique personality. Creating a safe, enriching environment for animals is simply part of who I am. My home has a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely explore, play, and relax under close supervision. Because I share my home with my own dogs, fish, and other beloved animals, it's already thoughtfully designed with their safety and well-being in mind. From secure fencing and pet-safe spaces to keeping anything potentially hazardous out of reach, I strive to create an environment where every animal can feel comfortable and secure. I believe every living being deserves kindness, patience, and respect. Whether your pet loves to run and play, curl up for a nap, or quietly observe the world around them, I'll provide a calm, loving space where they can settle in and feel at home. My goal isn't just to "watch" your pet, it's to make them feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for while you're away.
“Leaving our sweet boy behind has never been as comforting and low stress as it was with having Jason watch him for us. Knowing Colt was having a great time and in a loving home while we were out of town means the world to us! We came back to a safe and happy boy. We are so grateful!!”

“Michelle was a fantastic sitter for our Pepper. She provided daily updates and photos, and it was apparent that Pepper was enjoying his time with her. We highly recommend Michelle”

“Elise was absolutely wonderful to work with. She has great customer/pet skills. She offered a meet and greet, which meant a lot to me personally. She communicated with me throughout summer‘s entire stay including pictures. She made Summer feel as if she were right at home and I could see that in the pictures I would highly recommend Elise to any first time users and I will definitely use her again when needed.”

“Jessica was an amazing Sitter. She’s a great care of our Sheepadoodle. He loved being there she must update it on how he was doing and sent us lots of pictures. I would highly recommend her to watch your dog.”

“Olivia was amazing! We left our 7m kitten with her, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She sent us daily updates and pictures, which made us feel so comfortable knowing he was happy and well taken care of. He absolutely loved staying with her! He got along so well with her male cat and even had fun with her two kids. Olivia was so sweet, caring, and attentive, and we could tell our kitten was genuinely happy and comfortable with her. We would 100% recommend her and will definitely book with her again!”

I also have experience with animals with special needs. I am interested in walking dogs and checking in on pets. I work full time, but am available on my days off and in mornings or afternoons after my regular job. I am available most weekends. For now, I plan to do drop ins and walk dogs. Safety is top priority. I believe in meet and greets before working with animals to make sure the animal and owner is comfortable. I work full time and available most evenings and on my days off. Message me to check my availability. I am usually pretty flexible with my schedule! I am currently not able to accept animals in my own home. I take walks around my neighborhood frequently so you don’t have to worry about your pet not going out. I don’t have a big fenced in backyard but it is good for small dogs. I have a kitten who loves dogs and cats. He’s very sweet and lovable. I work part-time from my home so i’ll have plenty of time to play, cuddle, and walk your furry friend. My job allows me to choose my own hours so i’m able to make your pet feel loved when they are here. I have a small fenced backyard good for small dogs. I also have a very friendly kitten who loves dogs and cats. There are a lot of dog parks by me along with a lot of places to explore.

About: I’ve been around cats since birth and taking care of them my whole life. I’ve also taken care of a dog, a German Shepherd and a Doberman pinscher. I am a loving caretaker. I have pet sit for multiple people.

“Bob and Jan did a wonderful job caring for our disabled dog, cats, bunnies and chickens. They were tidy, kind, communicative and thoughtful. I felt very relaxed with the animals in their hands. Highly recommend.”

“Jan was amazing with Minion and his care. She was punctual, attentive, and made sure to let me know of anything she saw. She gives the absolute best updates too! Her attention to detail with our meet and greet gave me confidence but she really knocked it out of the oark with her stellar care. Weird measure metric I know but whenever we're away, his coat gets oily like he gets sad and doesn't clean himself. When we got home today he was happy, clean, and soft. So I know for sure he really enjoyed her company. I absolutely recommend her and will reach out to her for our future pet sitting needs.”

“Sarah was awesome. One of our cats had recently been sick, and Sarah provided updates and monitoring. She even managed to administer medication to a cat that doesn’t easily trust people. House was left just like she found it. Will definitely be using her for future needs”

Lucky, I was able to find Jessica last minute thru Rover and everything worked out perfectly! I’d never used Rover before and was a bit nervous to entrust a stranger with my lil girl but I ended up being worried for nothing! Lola loved her play date with Jessica’s fur baby, Peanut, and having some time out of the hot sun! Thanks Jessica, you are amazing! I’ll definitely hit you up next time we visit Emerald Isle!”

“Amber took wonderful care of my two elderly dogs. She is skilled, the property is excellent for the dogs, and they clearly enjoyed their stay. We look forward to having the dogs stay with Amber, again. Thank you!”

About: I have been caring for animals my entire life as a child, wildlife rehabilitator and as a wildlife biologist. For the last year and a half I have built a very nice reputation as a dependable and loving pet sitter. I have watched dogs, cats and birds! I have taken care of many senior dogs as well as a few puppies. Needless to say I’m not afraid of a pee pad or pill bottles! I work remotely and choose my hours, meaning, I can be with your animals at all time if need be. I do not mind staying with them 24/7 while you are away. It also means you can contact me any time that you need too. I live on a dead end road with very low traffic and have a very large yard. We will also go for nice walks down to the river where our road ends and a trail leads out to the river. My two main borders often do not want to leave or they want to come back home with me. It’s a great spot for dogs, whether they need to be leashed or not. If I am staying at your house I will always follow their normal routine. I really like for my clients to leave a note with food instructions, treat instructions, medicine, and daily routine. I also like to have a just incase number (neighbor or family member in the area) and the veterinarian. This is all just incase of an emergency and to make sure your pet stays safe and has the best time possible with me.

About: With years of hands-on experience breeding dogs and training German Shepherds, I bring a deep understanding of canine behavior, structure, and care to every pet I watch. From high-energy working dogs to beloved family companions, I provide attentive, knowledgeable, and compassionate care tailored to each dog’s needs. Whether it’s structured exercise, basic reinforcement training, or just dependable companionship, your pet will be in experienced and caring hands. I have part time job that I work at occasionally, but my passion is caring for our furry friends! I have 3 of my own and always find my most joyful moments are spent loving on them. Caring for pets is all about meeting them in their comfort space and going from there. Each furry friend has their own boundaries and when caring for them, it is vital to get to know them and build a trusting relationship with them, based on their personality. A meet and greet is the best way I have found to start this relationship.

About: -Personally, I have been caring for pets for 18 years. Pit mixes, reptiles, and felines. The first words most people would use to describe me would be "animal lover"! -Professionally, I have veterinary and animal handling experience. I worked as a Licensed Veterinary Technician Assistant between college and graduate school, which gave me experience with administering medication, pet safety, checking vital signs, soothing anxious pets, basic grooming, etc. I also spent two years in grad school walking dogs, boarding, and doing check-ins with "Wag!" which I thoroughly enjoyed! Professionally, I am a biologist and have a working knowledge of animal physiology -I have personally mothered and treated a Heartworm Positive dog, so I am well-versed in caring for a pup currently undergoing that! With my current seasonal position coming to an end, I expect to have a wide open schedule for the next few months. I am a pretty early riser, but can be flexible It is priority to make sure that your pet is as comfortable as possible while missing you! I choose to not use a crate with my dog, but can with yours if you prefer that. I'm very active and like to ensure that animals get as much activity and enrichment as they like. She played, did some crafts, and was so well taken care of. Nova is a puppy, and our baby so knowing she was in the hands of someone who loved her just as much as we do made us feel so much better about leaving for a long weekend. If you’re doubting if you should book- just do it!”
