About: My home can offer you the level of care and attention you want for your pet. I’ve always believed dogs shouldn’t just be “checked on”—they deserve attention, interaction, and a sense of comfort while their owners are away. Your pet will be loved on as if he/she were my own. I’ve had dogs my whole life and have raised several from puppies through their senior years, including a rescue, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of needs and personalities. My home is very pet-friendly, with a large backyard for play and space to relax. I also have a 5-year-old lab and a young child, so safety is a top priority. I only accept dogs that are gentle and a good fit for a family environment. My goal is simple: to give your pet a safe, calm, and genuinely cared-for place that feels as close to home as possible. I am currently working part-time, so I am home frequently. Your pet won't be left alone for long periods of time. My schedule is pretty flexible, so I'm available 24/7 unless I am going out of town. I usually work Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 5pm-10pm. I prefer to do a meet and greet before boarding. I cant always accommodate last minute bookings, but don't hesitate to reach out. I have a large fenced in yard, one very playful 5 year old lab, and a friendly toddler. My dog has free rein of the house and yard. When I am home, I leave the back door open so she can come and go as she pleases. When I leave, I can separate the dogs and crate as needed.
“Eugene was wonderful. He was responsive, friendly, and professional, and this isn’t even to mention the physical space that our dog was able to play in! Two acres of a fenced in yard, and our dog was able to chase squirrels to her hearts’ delight. We will definitely be using Eugene again.”

“Priscilla was very good. She sent pictures of Ollie every day and he looked like he was having a good time. He didn't have any complaints when he got home. She has a great yard for dogs to play in and her dog kept Ollie entertained.”

“She took care of my dog like her own. I highly recommend her. She kept me in the loop by sending pictures all the time. My dog had a great vacation and was very happy in her care!!”

“Cassie and Tradd were the BEST home away from home for our dog! They sent us lots of updates and he was always smiling so wide, we knew he was well loved. We cannot recommend them enough - they have definitely become our go-to Rover family!”

“We are so pleased to have found this wonderful family to take care of our Tilly. We received sweet updates and pictures of our four legged family member thoughout her stay, she was treated as one of their own fur family members. We want to thank them for taking such good and gracious care of our pupper. This was our first experience using Rover.com and with this family your pupper will be well cared for and loved. Thank you to all of you for your kindness and care towards our girl.”

“Christianna was very accommodating of our last minute sitter request for our golden retriever. She was very flexible, taking him in at 11pm on our way to the Outer Banks. We received pictures during Wesley’s stay and Christianna always responded quickly to any messages. We would definitely leave Wesley with Christianna again and recommend her to anybody’s fur babies.”

“Daisy had a great time with Cassandra and Tradd. She had a fun time playing with noodle and macaroni as well as their two children. Very thankful we found them and absolutely intend on reaching out the next time we are going out of town!”

“Georgia got the best care with Rachael & Garth- they sent a bunch of pictures though out the day too and we had a such a peace of mind knowing she was in good hands!”

“My husband and I recently moved to the Elizabeth City area and we don't know anyone here. Last minute my husband was able to attend an event with me a few hours away. I quickly scrambled to find someone to sit our furbabies. I messaged Christianna and she quickly got back to me saying she could watch them. Since I'm a very nervous dog mom and we've had bad experiences hiring a dog sitter online (we used a different website at that time), she agreed to come meet us the night before and the dogs. We dropped the dogs off Saturday morning and she was instantly great with them. They walked right into her house with no fear. Throughout the day she sent updates and photos (that definitely put my mind at ease and I was able to focus on the event I was attending). She was great with them all day and they came home super tired and ready for bed! :) We will definitely book with Christianna again.”

“Kristynah is the best dog sitter anyone could ask for. Knowledgeable, extremely caring, and gives the best updates plus takes beautiful pictures of your pup. I love it when she is available to watch my puppy because I know he is in good hands. 10/10”

Adventure-ready dog walkers - Maple
“I'm basing this review on my limited experience with hiring dog walkers. This is my first time using this app or any dog walker services for that matter. I was amazed how easy it was to sign up and find a qualified dog walker under such short notice. I was worried my dog's stature and puppy manners would be intimidating, but was worried for nothing. The walker, Renee, handled him really well and passed in flying colors. Will use this service and walker again in the future if the need arises again.”

About: Hi 🐾 My name is Juliana, and I’m a passionate and reliable pet caregiver with a strong background in animal care. I graduated from NC State with a degree in Animal Science, where I built a solid foundation in animal health, behavior, and welfare. I also spent two years working at a veterinary hospital, where I gained hands on experience caring for dogs and cats in a professional setting. During that time, I assisted with handling all different kinds of breeds, monitoring their health, and making sure they felt safe and comfortable, especially in stressful situations. This taught me how to read animal behavior, respond calmly, and provide attentive, compassionate care to each unique animals needs. I pride myself on being dependable, communicative, and genuinely attentive to each pet’s unique needs and personality. You can feel confident knowing your pet will receive safe, loving, and personalized care while you’re away, along with plenty of updates and peace of mind for you as I would want for my own pet! Right now, I’m in a transition period before shipping out for the Air Force, and I’d love to spend that time doing something I genuinely enjoy—caring for animals. Whether it’s pet sitting, dog walking, or just giving your pet some extra love and attention, I treat every animal as if they were my own. As a pet sitter, I prioritize the safety, trust, and environment of every pet that I care for, whether they are in my own home or in the client's home. When caring for a pet in the client's home, I take the time to thoroughly assess the environment and identify any potential hazards or risks. I make sure that the pet has access to fresh water, food, and a comfortable space to rest. Overall, my approach to caring for pets is centered on creating a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment that promotes their well-being and happiness.
About: I've taken care of animals for most of my life. Everyone around me always trusts me to make sure they're walked, fed, watered and loved whether they ask for it or not. I am currently working full time from 3pm to midnight, so I have plenty of time during the day to play with your little ones! I can follow any crating system/instructions set by the client as well as any basic things like walking, feeding etc. I unfortunately cannot board any animals in my home.
About: Since I was 10, I've always loved watching and caring for dogs and other animals. I started by helping neighbors with their pets—feeding them, taking them for walks, and making sure they felt safe and happy while their owners were away. Over the years, I've learned to understand animals' moods and needs, whether they're playful, shy, or anxious. This experience has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to create a calm environment for pets. Because of this, I would be a great sitter—I know how to keep animals comfortable and cared for, making sure they get the attention and love they deserve when their owners can't be there. No matter the animal i’ll be there for them! I worked at a pet store for over a year which taught me a lot about any sort of animals and their health. Since I already have a puppy with my own schedule, i’m totally used to juggling pet care! I know how to fit feeding, walks, playtime, and rest into my day, so adding care for another pet would just be a bit of extra love and attention. My experience with my own pup means i’m great at keeping routines steady and making sure every animal feels cared for. It fits naturally into my schedule because im already a pro at managing a furry friend’s needs! Besides my pup, I balance that’s with a box turtle, two hedgehogs, three leopard geckos, two cats, and at my parents house I take care of their two dogs, and two fresh water fish tanks. I can take care of animals in lots of ways depending on what they need. Whether it’s walking them to make sure they get exercise and fresh air, house sitting so they have company and someone to watch over them, or just stopping by to check on them to feed, play, and give them attention, I’m ready to help. I understand how important it is to keep their routine consistent and make sure they feel safe and loved while their owners are away.

About: I have been taking car of all kinds of dogs for years. I've watched dogs from Labrador puppies to senior German Shepards. I've owned dogs my whole life and I've always had a special bond with them. Dogs usually gravitate towards me because I am a very fun and light hearted person. I am a nanny for a mother of three during the day but I am usually only needed two or three days a week so my weekends are completely free. Even days when I watch my kids I am off by 3pm and can spend evenings with the pets. I have several dogs of my own so my house is fully equipped with w fenced in yard and my house is pet safe. In regards to a clients home I would of course check what the client has in place but as a pet owner I am also aware pets can be sneaky and love to get into mischief. I am always checking on clients pets making sure they are safe and not getting into things they shouldn't. I am also certified in pet cpr and massage therapy incase a pet does get into distress or if they need some other help with pain. Over all my priority is always the health and safety of my client beloved pets.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I’ve cared for both dogs and cats alike for many years. Even though I’m new to professional pet sitting, I have plenty of experience caring for my own beloved pets and ensuring they are happy, healthy, and well-loved. I’m reliable, patient, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I would treat every pet with the utmost care and attention they deserve while you are away. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I love spending time with them and I am accustom to caring for them through my years of growing up with them. Including feeding, walks, playtime, and making sure they feel comfortable and loved. I have a flexible schedule and can dedicate time throughout the day to give pets the attention, exercise, and companionship they need while their owners are away. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. With my knack for attention to detail, I pay close attention to each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions provided by the owner. In a client’s home, I make sure pets stay in a familiar and stress-free environment while keeping the space clean and tidy. I’m patient, attentive, and understand the importance of respecting and building trust with both pets and their owners. My goal is to make every pet feel loved, safe, and well cared for.

“Priscilla was very good. She sent pictures of Ollie every day and he looked like he was having a good time. He didn't have any complaints when he got home. She has a great yard for dogs to play in and her dog kept Ollie entertained.”

“Benjamin took great care of our two dogs for a full month, and we’re really grateful for it. They came back clean, fresh, and well cared for, even without their usual weekly baths, which we really appreciated 😊 He was also kind and responsive whenever we reached out.”

Alicia also gave us such a nice attention by providing us eclipse glasses; it was so nice of her to think of us. Thank you Alicia for everything and also for our dear Midnight.”
