She provided great care for Lilly and sent lots of pictures and messages to let us know how things were going. I would definitely recommend her and will be bringing Lilly back again very soon!

Richard was watching my puppy when hurricane Helene hit. Despite the chaos and crisis he stayed in communication as best he could and kept her safe the entire time I was gone. Words can’t express my gratitude. Aside from that, he was very accommodating of her puppy needs and took great care of her.

Second adventure for Charlotte at their place and second great experience! I think Charlie would rather be here than home since she gets to romp around with so many friends and other happy doggos. If we go out of town, or if we just want to drop for doggy daycare, this is the place we will always check first!

I cannot say enough good things about Samuel and Erica! This was my first time boarding my dog, and I was incredibly nervous—but they made the entire experience amazing from start to finish. A few days before the stay, they invited me over for a meet-and-greet so I could get a feel for their home, meet them, and introduce my dog to their sweet pup, Lana. The moment I walked in, I knew they were the right people. Their space was welcoming, safe, and dog-friendly, and their kind energy instantly put me at ease. Throughout the stay, they went above and beyond. They sent frequent updates and lots of pictures, which made me smile every time. It was so comforting to see my dog happy, relaxed, and having a blast with Lana. When my dog didn’t want to eat at first, they reached out right away and kept me posted until she finally finished her dinner—something I really appreciated as a nervous first-timer. When I picked her up, she was completely worn out—in the best way! After three days of nonstop play and attention, she came home happy, tired, and clearly had the time of her life. Samuel and Erica treated my dog exactly how I would want her to be treated—with love, patience, and genuine care. They communicated wonderfully, kept me in the loop the whole time, and truly felt like people I could trust completely. I’ll absolutely be booking with them again. Highly, highly recommend!

They kept her safe and busy while my husband and I participated in a friend’s wedding festivities. About: I have had dogs my whole life. I have experience caring for puppies, elderly dogs and sick/disabled dogs. I can administer medication, if needed. My dogs are our family members and yours will be treated the same. I am currently working from home so your pet won’t be left home alone for very long periods. I am available during the week and weekends including holidays. I have two very sweet and mellow Cavalier King Charles Spaniels to keep your doggie company. They will have access to 2 separate fenced in areas, one with a doggie door. Your dog can be crated or not and are welcome on the furniture with our dogs. Ours sleep in an x-pen together but your dog can sleep where ever it prefers. I want them to be comfortable like it is their own home.

About: Hi! I’m Salem, and I’d love to welcome your pup into my home while you’re away. ❤️ I believe boarding should feel like a vacation for your dog—not a stressful stay in an unfamiliar place. I provide a loving, comfortable home environment where dogs can relax, play, get plenty of attention, and follow a routine that helps them feel safe and settled. I have experience professionally in dog daycares, grooming, and boarding facilities. I am certified in pet cpr and can administer insulin or any other medications as needed. I’m very attentive to each dog’s individual personality and needs. Whether your pup is energetic and loves to play, prefers leisurely walks and lots of cuddles, or needs a little extra patience while adjusting to a new environment, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I also pay close attention to body language and behavior so I can recognize when a dog is excited, overwhelmed, tired, or simply needs some quiet time. My goal is always to make their stay as positive and stress-free as possible. While your dog is staying with me, I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you never have to wonder how your baby is doing. 🥰 Your dog isn’t just a guest—they’re part of the family while they’re here. I’d be honored to give them a safe, loving home away from home! 🌅 Morning: Potty break, breakfast, medications if needed, and some playtime or a morning walk. ☀️ Midday: Supervised play, enrichment, cuddles, and plenty of downtime/nap time. 🌤️ Afternoon: Another potty break, playtime or a walk, depending on each dog’s energy level and needs. 🌙 Evening: Dinner, potty break, relaxed play or cuddles, and settling in for the night. 🌙 Bedtime: One last potty break before everyone gets cozy for the night. The most important part: I keep the schedule flexible based on each dog’s normal routine, age, energy level, and comfort. Some pups need lots of activity, while others are happiest with a quiet day full of naps and cuddles. I want their stay to feel as close to home as possible. 🐶❤️ Boarding from my home is my primary source of income, which means I’m able to make caring for your pups my priority every day. I’m here to give them plenty of attention, supervision, play, enrichment, and cuddles throughout their stay. When your dog stays with me, they’re not just being boarded—they’re spending their vacation with someone whose whole day revolves around making sure they’re happy, comfortable, and well cared for. 💜🐾 I provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming home environment where dogs can receive plenty of attention throughout the day. I have two friendly dogs of my own who can provide companionship for dogs who enjoy playing with others. I provide a variety of dog beds, toys, and enrichment items at my home and each furry friend is welcome to find their new favorite spot to lounge or thing to play with if they choose to. I will always accept items from home for them to feel cozy as well just be aware they will be in a group setting with other pups. I understand that every dog has different needs and comfort levels, so I’m happy to adjust their routine accordingly. Dogs who love to socialize can enjoy supervised playtime, while dogs who prefer their own space can have quiet time and relaxation away from the other pets. I’m also comfortable with crate training and can easily accommodate dogs who are crate-trained or who need a separate space for meals, rest, or decompression. My goal is to make sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re in my home. 🐾❤️

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and started helping care for them as a kid, everything from feeding and walks to training and cuddles. Since I turned 20, I’ve been professionally dog sitting and have cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I’m a lifelong dog lover with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. Growing up with dogs taught me early on how to connect with them, understand their needs, and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I’m currently available most days of the week and am flexible with scheduling, so I can easily adapt to you and your pup’s routine. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just providing company and comfort, I genuinely enjoy every moment spent with dogs and treat them like part of the family. I’ve been around dogs my whole life and started professionally pet sitting in my early 20s, so I know how important it is for your pup to feel comfortable and safe in their own home. Whether I’m caring for a high-energy puppy or a slow-moving senior, I bring patience, love, and plenty of attention to make sure they’re happy while you’re away. I always do my best to stick to your dog’s routine and keep things clean and respectful in your home—like a familiar, trusted friend stepping in when you need an extra hand.

About: I have had many different animals my entire life including cats, ferrets, chinchillas, chickens, ducks, hamsters, rabbits… In my 20’s I founded “Not Just Pets, Professional Pet Care”. In my 30’s I founded “Equine Specialist, Care and Training”. I had horses for over 30 years. I trained, showed, pleasure road, belonged to 3 horse clubs and eventually started my own 4-H club. I have bred and trained Boston Terriers and German Shepherds. Currently, I have 4 dogs that I rescued from a SC kill shelter. I have worked with Aly from Coal Mountain and Karen from Arcadia Animal Rescue’s. Both have been amazed by how well adjusted the four dogs have become considering how terrified they were in which no one else would take a chance on. Animals are my passion and greatest friends! I am currently taking an online course to become a Certified Canine Massage Therapist. I work for myself taking care of Seniors and animals. Relocated 04.07.2025 from Maine. I make my own schedule and am flexible to care for your furry family! Every situation can be different. Meeting with the client and their animals is important. I like to know about any vices, medications, vet info, where supplies are at, etc. Taking notes and leaving daily notes for each client keeps communication open and I find is appreciated.

About: I have volunteered at an animal rescue sanctuary for 10+ years. As a caretaker my duties at the sanctuary require demanding physical labor, housekeeping, and responsibilities of supervision over animals and other volunteers. We had over 100+ different types of animals and always have been around dogs and cats! They are my joy! I work 2 full time jobs but I have mornings, evenings and weekends open! I am looking for something that will fit into that kind of schedule. I have no animals at home. It is safe and a very clean environment. About: Hi! I’m Celeste — your dog’s new favorite auntie 🐾 I’m a lifelong animal lover originally from Denver, now living right in downtown Asheville with my 5-year-old “puppy” (yes, she still thinks she’s a baby). We go on daily mountain walks, explore the city, and spend way too much time cuddling — so your dog will fit right into our routine. I’m dependable, nurturing, and super communicative. I’ll treat your fur baby like my own, keep you updated with plenty of photos, and make sure they feel safe, loved, and entertained the whole time. Whether your pup needs hikes, chill couch time, consistent structure, or someone who just gets dog personalities — I’m your girl. Can’t wait to meet your four-legged best friend! 🐶💛 My schedule is super flexible. I’m home most days and can accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits. Because I live right in downtown Asheville, I’m able to pop in quickly for walks, check-ins, or longer stays. I’m available weekdays, weekends, and holidays, and I can often take last-minute bookings. If you need consistent care, overnight sitting, or a recurring schedule, I’m happy to make that work too — just send me a message! In My Home: I create a calm, safe, and loving environment. I live in downtown Asheville with my friendly 5-year-old pup, and we follow a steady routine of walks, playtime, and mellow downtime. Visiting pets get the same treatment as my own — constant supervision, lots of affection, fresh water at all times, and a cozy place to relax. I keep my space clean, dog-proofed, and stress-free so every animal feels comfortable and at home. In Their Home: I follow your pet’s normal routine to keep them grounded and secure. I handle feeding, walking, potty schedules, medication (if needed), enrichment, and plenty of snuggles. I’m big on communication, so you’ll get updates and photos as often as you’d like. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and understood while you’re away — no disruption, just comfort.

Sydney is amazing!! She helped me out with my puppy very last minute. She always came on time and followed instructions perfectly! Even though my dog gave her some difficulty in the beginning she was patient and quickly made him feel very comfortable with her. She always sent photos and updates with each visit. I highly recommend her! We cannot thank you enough!

Heather is amazing! I could tell from the very start that she knew a lot about animal behavior and that her dog, Louie, would be a good fit for my Willow. Heather was extremely accommodating, as far as asking if Willow needed any meals, and also with regard to ensuring Willow had her treats over the course of the day. I would absolutely, unequivocally recommend Heather for doggie daycare!

Our dog Mint came to us as an adult rescue with a tender heart and big separation anxiety. She trembles and cries to ride in a car, uncertain where she’s being taken. On her third visit with Brody, as soon as we turned into his driveway she quieted and started wagging. As I drove away, the rearview mirror showed her dancing around his legs and eagerly running to his front door. Priceless peace of mind!

Alyssa was absolutely amazing with my pup, Biggie! She took care of him while my family and I went to the Biltmore and out to dinner, and I couldn’t have felt more at ease. She sent so many pictures and videos throughout the time he was with her, which made me feel so comfortable and reassured. She was incredibly accommodating, and it was clear from the moment we picked him up that he had the best time! Biggie went straight to sleep when we got home, which tells me he was happy, loved, and well played with. Alyssa and her family treated Biggie like one of their own, and it truly meant so much to me. I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and loving sitter. We will absolutely be booking with her again whenever we visit!!

About: I grew up with dogs as family pets and have always considered myself a “dog person.” My family had a sheepdog, a black lab, and a Scottish sheepdog, which helped shape my lifelong love for animals. About 30 years ago, I met my wife, a true cat person through and through, and over time I happily transitioned into becoming a devoted cat lover as well. Over the years, my wife and I have shared life with three cats, even taking them on leash walks around the neighborhood—yes, I am proudly that person now. Bella, my 18-year-old super senior cat, just lost her struggle with kidney disease and we miss her dearly. My wife and I spoil our animals all the time. Our cats have always been like children to us and the bonds we build with our animals over the years have been deeply meaningful. I believe animals teach unconditional love, friendship, and have a beautiful way of offering comfort exactly when it’s needed most. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have spent years looking after neighbors’ chickens, rabbits, dogs, cats, hamsters, and even a rat! After 13 years of teaching English at a nearby Early College, I recently retired from education and am excited to begin this new chapter with Rover. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit. When I am not caring for animals, I run a professional mountain biking guide service in Asheville called Pisgah Mountain Bike Adventures. With more than 40 years of passion for mountain biking, being outdoors and in the mountains is where I feel most at home. I also run an Airbnb in our finished basement and I am currently writing a memoir. I am excited to be part of the Rover team and I look forward to caring for your dog, cat, or other beloved pet with the same level of attentiveness and heart that I have given to everything in my life. I am all in. I am excited to continue growing with Rover and embrace this new direction in my life with enthusiasm and hope, proving it’s never too late to follow a new calling! I am available 7 days a week for dog walks, overnight care, drop in visits, pet transport and housesitting. I am pet first aide and CPR certified and ready to help care for your fur babies anytime. I will board your dog or cat in my home or yours. I am an outdoor enthusiast, so will provide outdoor enrichment, long walks and various activities like playing fetch in the park or snuggles and extra 1 on 1 time for your pet. As a retired teacher, I bring professional level customer service, reliablity and professional pet care for you and your fur babies. I am very flexible with scheduling. Your pet or house is in good hands, leaving you free to go about your day and not worry about your home or fur babies. Thanks for trusting in menfor your pet and houshold needs.

About: Hi, I am a compassionate and dependable recent retiree. My two senior dogs passed away in the past 6 months and I am without any fur-babies for the first time in decades. I am honored to spend quality time with your loved one so you can have a worry-free vacation and I can have some doggy/kitty time! I am newly retired and have plenty of free time. I do have community activities out but they do not dominate my day. I spend my time focused on creativity (working on art and music projects) at home. So your pup will have company pretty much all day whether you are boarding with me or I am housesitting for you. I am very active and have a daily exercise and yoga routine and my home is a healthy and veg-friendly household. I'll gladly walk your dog to the level he/she is used to (if it's hot I will walk early morning and/or evenings). My intention is to have your baby feel loved and safe with lots of attention and play and by sticking to the routine as you dictate. I am very tidy/neat and respectful of your home. I'm happy to water your plants etc. If boarding in my home, I am here most of the time. My husb and I Iive in a house with a big fenced in yard so there is plenty of room for your pup to do his or her business and run around and chase a toy. The neighborhood is very walkable and dog-friendly. I can also take your dog in the car to favorite walks (with your permission). If boarding in my home, I request that your dog is 100% house-trained and has good social skills/manners as well as being comfortable with having their own bed to sleep in.

About: I have been a veterinary nurse at an AAHA accredited hospital for the last 6 years, and prior to that, worked at an additional hospital as well as a pet store with exotics. I am more than comfortable administering any method of medication, and taking care of your medical needs, special needs, or senior fur babies. I own two friendly dogs, two sassy cats, and a baby ball python myself- variety is the spice of life. If you’re looking for a medically experienced caretaker for your kids, I’m your gal! *also have grooming experience with medical needs animals I just moved to the Asheville area, so Im excited to explore around. I have just taken a M-Th veterinary position, but I still plan on working Rover into my schedule! I have two friendly dogs, who will play with dogs that want to play, ignore the ones who don’t, and will be gentle with the young and little ones. I do not have a yard, but I am very active and used to taking my large dogs for >3-4 mile walks daily.

Richard was very easy to communicate with and very understanding of our situation- our 1 year old pup had never been boarded or stayed with anyone since we got her, and we were trying to get her used to staying with someone before we take a vacation. Rick was great and caring, despite the fact that our puppy was very nervous and anxious while in his care and she whined a lot. We would definitely book a stay with Rick again, but for his benefit we are going to work more with a trainer so our dog is more comfortable staying with sitters and not just us all the time. Thank you Rick for your help and caring spirit!

About: I have always loved and cared for animals since I was young. I have taken care of my own and other people's fur babies. I love when my friend's pets get excited to see me because I equally share their joy! Dogs: I have always loved dogs and had at least 1 since childhood until a few years ago sadly. The automatic baby voice comes out when I see and talk to a dog. I have found myself spending more time with the dogs than the humans at gatherings sometimes and I appreciate those moments. I love all breeds and sizes! When seeing a new dog in passing, I ask each owner if it’s okay for me to “say hi”/pet their fur baby because all are different with different personalities and life experiences. I tell my kitties often that they will have a canine sibling soon! Cats: Currently a cat mom of 2, the stars in my pictures! I was ignorant of cats until I found my own. I listened to many behavioral podcasts along with my research to understand their uniqueness, and now I deeply appreciate and understand wholeheartedly the love earned from such individual little creatures. My kitties are my shadows, I never use the restroom alone. They have taught me so much and I love the unique personality that I find in each one of them. I know how important it is to respect their space (especially if they're more standoffish) and ensure they have all their resources, especially when their humans are away! Currently working my own flexible schedule so I can make any time work that your fur baby needs. Some pets are used to early mornings and some are used to late evenings. Whatever works for yours! My kitties eat raw, so I make their food daily and give them specific supplements and treats depending on their behavior and the litterbox situation. I'm in tune with my kitty's behaviors and meows knowing what they're requesting in that moment. When caring for other people's pets, I'm mindful of where we use the bathroom (if possible) and clean up appropriately. No details are too many, I'm very supportive of specific needs and how your fur baby may be familiar with their care.

I would love to help out with drop-ins and dog walks! I take the safety of your pets and the care of your home very serious. If you have pets that require special attention or have high anxiety, I’m there to ensure everyone is safe, relaxed, and taken care of.

About: Rescuing dogs — especially puppies — is the most rewarding feeling in life. The most important thing with our furry friends is consistency. If you're stricter with your dog, you need a sitter who'll uphold those rules, not let them slide. I've taken care of dogs and cats for friends and family for years, and I've learned that it's not about what I want — it's about honoring what the owner has built with their pet. I work with the public in my day job, so patience is second nature to me. Pets are no different. They need someone who can read their energy, stay calm, and meet them where they're at. I also love running and playing with animals. Exercise is huge — but I get that a walk isn't always about distance. Sometimes they need to run. Sometimes they need to stop and smell everything. I match their pace, not mine. I don't know if anything really sets me apart from other sitters. I just genuinely want to be there for the furry family member. My availability in inconsistent due to Firefighting but I will always respond as soon as I'm able too. I understand due to my schedule I won't the best sitter for if you need someone daily, but if you need someone to drop-in, walk your dog, or just need a night out, feel free to leave a message. Currently working for a fire department, schedule can be inconsistent. Great for drop in play times and walks. Days off from fire department can be great for unexpected care. Currently unable to have pets in home due to renting rules. Will make sure to confirm and follow all rules with you before accepting the job.

About: Hi there! I’ve had the privilege of working at the McDowell County Animal Shelter, where my passion for animals truly began to grow. That love for pets later led me to become a doggy daycare attendant in Wilmington. Over the last few years, I’ve really enjoyed meeting new people, spending time with pets, and making lasting connections through Rover. With hands-on experience in walking, feeding, playtime, and giving lots of love, I’m dedicated to making sure every pet in my care feels safe, happy, and comfortable. ⏰ My Schedule: I work from my computer so I am completely free for pet sitting, walks, and extra snuggles. Clients often tell me their pets look happy and relaxed in the photos and videos I send. I believe animals can feel when they are genuinely loved, and that’s the kind of care I bring to every visit. Under my care, your pets will always have: ✔ Fresh food and clean water ✔ Regular walks and exercise ✔ Plenty of cuddles, play, and attention ✔ Memorable photo and video updates 📸 My promise is simple: to treat your pets like family and give you peace of mind while you’re away.🐶🐾🐱 Caring for pets is a natural part of my daily routine. I make sure they have healthy food, clean water, exercise, and a comfortable space to relax. During the week, I’m available for before and after work visits, and on weekends I’m completely free to provide longer stays, walks, and extra attention. Pet care fits easily into my schedule because I truly enjoy it—it doesn’t feel like work, it feels like quality time with a furry friend. When I care for pets—whether in my home or in a client’s—I focus on creating a safe, loving, and comfortable environment. I make sure they always have fresh food, clean water, exercise, and plenty of affection. Every pet is unique, so I pay close attention to their routines and personalities to keep them happy and at ease. To give you peace of mind, I send regular photo and video updates so you can see your pet enjoying their time and feeling cared for. My goal is simple: for you to feel completely confident that your furry family member is safe, loved, and well taken care of while you’re away.

About: Have had pets my entire life, bred multiple reptiles in the past, have had several dogs over the years, exotics, still have a 23 year old african grey who is my middle child who won't leave the nest, spent a decade volunteering at a no-kill shelter, multiple animal rescues, have worked in multiple veterinary offices, been vegetarian since 1997, worked as a vegan chef in several restaurants, and still love to cook for potlucks, friends and fun! I'm currently just working a few days a week in a restaurant, no other commitments. Plus it's the longest I've ever been without companion animal of my own, so I have extra time and love to give at the moment. Will follow the owners instructions to the tee, and more often than not spend additional time when possible. I'm currently without pets of my own which is rare for me, so I have an ample amount of attention and care to spare!

About: Animals just relax around me. I’ve worked with many pet owners who are apprehensive to leave their pets with anyone due to the pet’s nervous temperaments, and other various quirks, and every single time the animals have surprised their owners by completely settling in with me. I prioritize play, love, and connecting with each individual pet I watch however they specifically need. I’ve looked after animals of all breeds, ages, & temperaments- from anxious & fussy older pets to energetic young puppies. I have experience administering medications to sick animals, hand feeding injured puppies, walking several pets at once, and managing dogs & cats that are a bit wild. I’ve even cared for lizards, turtles, fish, plants (haha), hamsters, birds, & rabbits. Whatever their needs, I will make sure they feel safe, loved, & at home while they’re with me. I am a potter who works from my home studio, and I make my own schedule- so I can generally be flexible and accommodate your pets needs. I love having pets in my home, and breaking away from my studio to get some fresh air and puppy/kitty love too! If I’m working on a big project, it’s nice to have to flexibility to come and go from my studio when possible, or have your pet there with me- but I have worked out all kinds of house sit/drop in/boarding arrangements according to the needs of clients and their pets. Let’s talk! I live in a peaceful home with a large fenced in backyard, and nice quiet streets to walk with your pet as needed. I will follow whatever routines you generally stick to and prefer when working with your animals. Give me all the details of your needs and preferences, boundaries and particulars- no matter what type of sit- so I can be sure you and your pet(s) feel a sense of trust, ease, and predictability.
