“Leaving our sweet boy behind has never been as comforting and low stress as it was with having Jason watch him for us. Knowing Colt was having a great time and in a loving home while we were out of town means the world to us! We came back to a safe and happy boy. We are so grateful!!”

“My dog had a great time and I had some of the best communication from a dog sitter that I’ve ever had, peace of mind is important to me, your pet is in good hands with Caitlin!”

About: Animals have always been the center of my life. I'm currently a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and PhD student at North Carolina State University, where I focus on animal health and welfare. Before returning to veterinary school, I spent over a decade leading teams in the technology industry, so reliability, communication, and professionalism are second nature. Whether your pet is an energetic puppy, an older parrot, an independent and opinionated cat, or a shy saltwater goby, I take care of them all. For every single animal, from a senior who needs a slower pace or simply loves extra attention, I'll care for them as if they were my own. I understand normal pet behavior, can recognize when something doesn't seem right, and I'm comfortable administering most medications if needed. While you're away, you can expect: Frequent photo and video updates Prompt communication Play and engagement tailored to their energy level Plenty of affection and enrichment Respect for your pet's routine and training I know leaving your pet with someone else can be stressful. My goal is to make both you and your loved one feel completely at ease from our first meet-and-greet through the moment you return home. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend(s)! My dissertation-writing schedule gives me the flexibility to provide dependable, individualized care without rushing from place to place. Caring for pets is something I intentionally weave into my day, so your dog or cat receives genuine attention, enrichment, and companionship, not just a quick stop in. I love having animals as part of my daily routine, and I strive to make every visit feel calm, engaging, and tailored to your pet's unique personality. Creating a safe, enriching environment for animals is simply part of who I am. My home has a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely explore, play, and relax under close supervision. Because I share my home with my own dogs, fish, and other beloved animals, it's already thoughtfully designed with their safety and well-being in mind. From secure fencing and pet-safe spaces to keeping anything potentially hazardous out of reach, I strive to create an environment where every animal can feel comfortable and secure. I believe every living being deserves kindness, patience, and respect. Whether your pet loves to run and play, curl up for a nap, or quietly observe the world around them, I'll provide a calm, loving space where they can settle in and feel at home. My goal isn't just to "watch" your pet, it's to make them feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for while you're away.
“Marcia is very friendly and has lots of experience with all types of dogs. She treated our English bulldog very well and was accommodating to the fact that she should be kept separate from other dogs.”

“Overall great experience booking with Alexander! We left Sadie (6 year old German shepherd) in his care for 8 days and each day we received updates and pictures. I would definitely book with again in the future.”

“I was very nervous leaving my dog for the first time in a new place. Brittany and Matt were great with Ghost, he can be a handful with his anxiety and they were patient and understanding. They sent updates and videos of him playing with their dog King. We will definitely use them in the future if we need a sitter.”

“Abigail and her family have been amazing with my 2 girls! She is super communicative and made sure she knew everything about the girls before the start date. The girls always come home happy and tired, and Abigail always sends pictures of all the fun they have. Highly recommend!”

“Rebecca is one of the best. She takes such great care of Iris, our English bulldog. She goes the extra mile and always ensures we are kept up to date with her progress while being away from home. Iris enjoys her stay as well.”

“Aanchal is the perfect pet sitter. She communicates extremely well and is enthusiastic about boarding your pet. Our dog, Colden, had a wonderful weekend stay! He was well cared for, exercised, played and cuddled with! We could see that he was very happy to be there. Aanchal was very comfortable and reassuring when we dropped-off and picked-up our dog. Thank you Aanchal!”

“Our Coconut was so well taken care of during our trip, we had no concerns about him while we were gone. Although normally shy, Coconut quickly became comfortable with her. There were so many pictures of him made into memes that were incredibly cute, and she both trimmed his nails and bangs to make him more comfortable. She even gave Coconut an embroidered kerchief with his name on it to take home! Definitely a sitter to bring him back to.”

“Home away from home! Thanks to Kylene for providing such loving and comfortable care for our guy while we were out of town. Not only did we stay in close contact, but Kylene accommodated our drop off and pick up needs. Our guy needs meds and gentle handling and Kylene ensured he was well cared for. No doubt we will rely on Kylene’s services in the future! Love her!”

About: I’ve taken care of multiple animals throughout my life, such as dogs, cats, lizards, snakes, ducks, and chickens. I’m very reliable and will make sure to follow directions on how you want your animal taken care of. I am currently a student and have a part time job, but I also have a lot of free time on my hands making this type of job perfect for me. I grew up around cats and dogs growing up and care deeply for animals. For animals I board I like to do a meet and greet to let your animal get to know an unfamiliar place with you there. For dog sitting I like to do a meet and greet at the house or a nearby park to get to know your pet and so that I’m not a stranger to them when hanging with them.
“Karen was phenomenal! She provided excellent communication throughout our dog’s stay and was incredibly attentive and caring. She treated our dog like her own, taking her on walks, car rides, and fun adventures around the community. We loved receiving regular updates, messages, and photos, which gave us peace of mind knowing she was well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend Karen to anyone looking for a loving, responsible, and trustworthy pet sitter!”

“It’s a comfort for me when my dog, Zeke, is in Sandy’s care. When I’m away I can focus on what I need to do and I don’t worry about Zeke at all. I’m very grateful for Sandy’s loving care of my little dog. She’s a very wonderful and kind person.”

About: Growing up I have always had a dog. My older brother ran a dog training business on our farm after training dogs for the military. Due to this I was introduced to many different types of dogs and their personalities. Growing up he taught me the basics to training dogs and how to adapt to the dogs personality. Therefore I am able to care for all types of dogs and any of their needs. I am currently working full time; however, I am able to care for pets on weekdays anytime after 5pm. I am available 24/7 on weekends. I am able to care for any pet in any environment. Whether your pet runs free in a fenced in area or not. I also have no problem when it comes to putting pups in their crate.

About: My own fur baby is a 13 year old black cat who is my sassy and lovable daughter. My best friends have cats and growing up had a few family ones, but I learned the most with my girl. I’ll love your meowing monster as much as mine!
“Sandy was reliable and consistent, very warm and friendly to our cat, and sent daily updates and photos. Very happy w Sandy’s drop in visits and will definitely use her again!!”

“Bob and Jan did a wonderful job caring for our disabled dog, cats, bunnies and chickens. They were tidy, kind, communicative and thoughtful. I felt very relaxed with the animals in their hands. Highly recommend.”

“Suzanne was wonderful with my 4 cats!! I was out of the country but was confident that they were in good hands. The daily report cards she sent were awesome! I believe she may also have a career in pet photography! Every picture sent was great!! Much better than my own pictures of my cats. I will definitely be using Suzanne again in the future, as all my cats now love her! She my #1 choice!”

“Took great care of my kitties, and even convinced my scaredy cats to come out and play! 10/10 highly recommend, will be requesting her anytime I need a sitter!”

“Jan was amazing with Minion and his care. She was punctual, attentive, and made sure to let me know of anything she saw. She gives the absolute best updates too! Her attention to detail with our meet and greet gave me confidence but she really knocked it out of the oark with her stellar care. Weird measure metric I know but whenever we're away, his coat gets oily like he gets sad and doesn't clean himself. When we got home today he was happy, clean, and soft. So I know for sure he really enjoyed her company. I absolutely recommend her and will reach out to her for our future pet sitting needs.”

About: I have taken care of all types of animals my entire life. I’ve had many dogs and cats at the same time. I love animals with a passion. I am empathetic to their needs. I understand where certain behaviors develop and how to not only prevent them, but to remove them completely. I have experience in dog training (household, leash, media/film, etc.). I have trained puppies all the way to senior dogs. Being with animals is not a hobby for me; it is a lifestyle.

About: I have always had a soft spot for cats and find great joy from accompanying them! Previously working at a pet resort educated myself on how to accommodate each unique cat with all their special needs.

“Sarah was awesome. One of our cats had recently been sick, and Sarah provided updates and monitoring. She even managed to administer medication to a cat that doesn’t easily trust people. House was left just like she found it. Will definitely be using her for future needs”

“Tabitha was very timely and attentive to our cat "Chi". We appreciated the daily check-ins and the pics posted on-line with Rover.com. Tabitha also took the the time for a "meet'n'greet" with Chi prior to the booking. Thank you!”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life dogs, cats, and even a few surprise visitors in between! Whether it’s going on walks, giving belly rubs, or making sure they get fed on time, I truly enjoy caring for animals and making them feel safe and loved. I’m currently active duty military, so my schedule stays pretty consistent! I’m available most evenings during the week and open on weekends for walks, drop-ins, or pet sitting. If you need early morning care, feel free to message me I’ll do my best to work with your needs! I’m currently serving in the military, which means I’m super reliable, detail oriented, and organized. You can count on me to follow your pet’s routine, send updates, and treat them like my own. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and I don’t take that lightly.
“We are repeat customers of Lexi and cannot imagine having anyone else watch our fur babies! One of our dogs had a tough time this stay and Lexi is exactly who you want to love and care for your dog in their time of need when you cannot be there. Incredibly communicative and very personable, Lexi loves our fur babies the way she does her own and we love her for it!”

About: I have my own 8 year old Maltipoo. I have also watched my friends dogs when they would go out of town for vacation due to my flexible schedule. I work remote and I am working on my bachelors degree online so my schedule is rather flexible. Differs from semester to semester though so I will adjust once the spring semester starts. I typically go to the clients home since the dog is more comfortable in their own environment. That option has always worked out the best in the past.
“This is our second time having Cierra do drop-ins for our beloved, free roam house rabbits, Freya and Gus. She’s always super communicative, responsive, and takes such good care of our babies while we are gone. She’s always our first choice!”

“My kiddos wanted to go to the waterpark before returning home from our beach vacation but my fur baby wouldn’t be allowed…. Lucky, I was able to find Jessica last minute thru Rover and everything worked out perfectly! I’d never used Rover before and was a bit nervous to entrust a stranger with my lil girl but I ended up being worried for nothing! Lola loved her play date with Jessica’s fur baby, Peanut, and having some time out of the hot sun! Thanks Jessica, you are amazing! I’ll definitely hit you up next time we visit Emerald Isle!”

About: Dogs, cats, birds, and fish . . . These are some of the best friends I’ve had over the last 45 years. All of my pets have lived long, healthy lives based on excellent feeding, grooming, and regular medical care. I genuinely love animals and have a very watchful eye on their well-being. I am a retired school administrator with a 36-year history of creating productive learning environments and protecting the lives of thousands of school children. Care-taking is my thing. Now, I have a very flexible schedule/calendar, and I am wide open to opportunities to meet and care for animals of all shapes, sizes, and colors. I am available to follow instructions for drop-in or pet/house-sitting in the client’s home—including feeding and letting dogs out for potty breaks, feeding and checking in on cats, and feeding fish or birds.
“Addison did a fantastic job with Scout. She provided top-notch care, communicated well, and sent plenty of updates throughout the stay. It’s obvious that she makes visiting pets feel safe and comfortable. I felt completely confident leaving my dog in her hands and will definitely use her services again!”

“Aanchal is amazing with dogs ,she is patient ,loving and very caring.my dog had a wonderful day with her he was so happy and well kept. The dogs have easy access in and out of the house, and there is a nice shaded area to rest as well. Larissa is also very attentive to the owner’s needs, and VERY responsive! So happy to have found her … just wished she lived next door! I drive 45 mins, happily, to get to her. 😃”

About: What sets me apart is that I actually stick to your pet’s routine and pay attention to the little things. I also don’t mind helping taking care of exotic pets because I am trying to be an Exotics/Wildlife Veterinarian and have always had a passion for exotics, so I’ll be more than happy to help! I’ve helped with puppy training like potty reinforcing basic commands, but I am always willing to learn any crate training or potty training. I’m also comfortable with senior pups and making sure they get extra patience, slower walks, or medications if needed but I will need to learn how to administer your pup’s medication. I always send updates and photos so you know your pups are happy and taken care of. Pet care fits really well into my routine since I’m mostly available in the afternoons. I usually plan my classes and responsibilities earlier in the day, so afternoons are open for walks, drop-ins, feedings, and playtime. It works out great because I can give pets my full attention without feeling rushed, and I’m able to stay consistent with their schedule. When I care for pets in a client’s home, I stick closely to their normal routine so they feel comfortable and stress-free. I follow feeding and walk schedules, give them plenty of attention, and respect their personality and space. I’m also very respectful of the home and always send updates and photos so owners feel confident while they’re away.
“I highly recommend Meg and her wonderful dog Wrigley! Meg communicates quickly, her home is very dog friendly, she loves dogs and my Golden Retriever was happy and secure under her care.”

“Highly recommend Kylie for doggie daycare. I sent my little Bean there as he didn’t have much experience with other dogs. And she has worked with him to get him more comfy. I feel very confident and comfortable leaving my baby under her care.”

“Jasper came home from Michelle’s daycare clean, happy and exhausted. Michelle kept me updated with all the details and was extremely accommodating. Highly recommend Michelle’s service to all dog parents out there, she always has a tastefully designed home that is also dog friendly.”

About: I have been caring for and watching dogs since I was a young child. Unfortunately, my husband and I are not currently able to get a dog due to the uncertainty of work schedules. Therefore, I decided that there was no better place for me than rover! I would love spending the afternoon walking, playing, hiking, or running with your dog! I have plenty of space for your dog to explore outside, or take them to mini trips to the dog park or to get a pupcup! I grew up with 3 golden retrievers, but have experience caring for pitbulls, dachshunds, boxers, red heeler, pugs, etc. I am also willing to take the time to learn the specific needs of your pet and take the extra step to build a relationship with them to give them the care they need. Please read the "cat care details" to see how I would care for your kitty friends! ☺️ I currently work part time, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pups! I offer boarding 7 days a week and pet walking and at home visits in the afternoons after 3 pm or anytime on the weekends! I have an open yard for your dogs to run or explore. Your doggos are free to lounge on my furniture or bring their own beds & blankies to sleep on. When caring for dogs at their home, I will gladly take them on however long of a walk they're used to. (I love walking, running, and hiking).

About: I have multi-dog household experience. There has always been at least two dogs in my house growing up, they’re my favorite animals. I have a chocolate Labrador named Whiskey, and a Schnoodle named Max. My chihuahua sadly passed away. I love to meet and have other dogs in my house. I’m comfortable administering oral medication if needed. I’ll send daily photo updates. I’m a stay at home mom so there’s always time to care and play with our furry kids. I wake up between 6-8am and go to bed by 10pm. When I need to leave the house to run errands, I don’t take longer than 3 hours at a time, so I make sure my pets are taken outside for potty and water breaks. There is a fenced area in the back of our house, and a big open area. I can take them out on a leash if needed or crate them if they’re not house trained.

“Amazing. Bohdan really helped our family out as we had a family member (who was our pet caregiver) fall the day before we had to leave town. He went above and beyond in so many ways! Thank you Bohdan and family.”

About: I have had a lifelong love of animals and have been caring for pets from a very young age. I grew up with both dogs and cats and learned early on the importance of being responsible, patient, gentle, and attentive to their needs. As an adult, I have continued to care for my own pets, including many cats and a rabbit, giving me experience with different animals, personalities, routines, and care requirements. What sets me apart is the genuine care and attention I give to every animal. I don’t see pet sitting as simply feeding an animal and letting them out—I believe pets need companionship, affection, playtime, exercise, and individual attention. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality and routine and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I am dependable, patient, observant, and very attentive to changes in an animal’s behavior or routine. I treat every pet in my care as if they were my own and understand how important it is for owners to have someone they can trust with a beloved member of their family. I work part-time, which gives me an extremely flexible schedule and allows me to make pet care a priority. I am available every day of the week and can accommodate visits, walks, feeding schedules, and other care needs at various times throughout the day. Because my schedule is flexible, I can provide consistent and dependable care without having to rush through visits. I am able to adjust my routine around each pet’s individual needs and schedule, whether they need regular walks, playtime, feeding, companionship, or overnight care. I enjoy spending time with animals and would be happy to make caring for pets an important part of my daily routine. I have three cats of my own, so I understand the responsibility and commitment involved in providing daily care for pets. I make sure they always have fresh food and water, clean litter boxes, a safe and comfortable environment, and plenty of attention and affection. I also spend time playing with them and providing enrichment to keep them happy and engaged. If caring for someone else’s pet in my home, I would follow the owner’s instructions carefully and maintain the pet’s normal feeding, bathroom, exercise, medication, and sleeping routines as much as possible. I would provide a calm, safe space where the pet can feel comfortable and would give them plenty of individual attention. I would also take into consideration their personality and comfort level, especially if they are nervous or adjusting to a new environment. Because I have cats, I would also make sure any visiting pet is safely separated when necessary and that introductions are handled appropriately. My priority would always be the safety, comfort, and well-being of every pet in my care.
“Christina was AMAZING! She helped with our dogs for our wedding. She even put their little suits on them and brought them out to us for pictures! Literally so good with both of our big crazy dogs! We were so thankful for her! Book her!!”

“Very responsive and super friendly! Suzanne saved us while on vacation to walk our dog while we were exploring the area. Our dog was very grateful for the break out of the house. Would definitely use her again when we come back.”

About: Growing up, our house was basically a small zoo—dogs, cats, fish, bearded dragons, iguanas, snakes, and even gators! My little sister topped us all with a pet tarantula. 🐍🦎 In college, I happily added dog-sitting for my music directors’ pups to the mix. I work in hospitality, so my schedule is flexible and I’m happy to work with your needs—whether your pet has four legs, scales, fins, or a little extra attitude! Writing With the change of season, my work schedule is mainly weekends, with a few regular office-hour shifts mixed in. I also have some longer breaks during the day, which gives me flexibility for walks, drop-ins, and plenty of time to give your pets some attention. I’m happy to work around your schedule and your pet’s routine! I treat pet sitting like a girls’ night in—lots of attention, playtime, cuddles, and fun! I’m detail-oriented, follow routines carefully, and love getting to know each pet’s unique personality. 🐾💕

About: I love animals, especially dogs, more than words can express! We have always had small dogs in our family since I was born. I could never imagine living without a dog in my household. In fact I have always had my miniature schnauzers as my fur babies since my early 20’s. I also use my endless dog walks as another form of exercise especially with the awesome beach roads all over the island that we are fortunate to enjoy living on the island. Since I never had children I have extremely spoiled animals. Me and my husband are retired and I work a very part time job so have a lot of flexibility with my schedule. My husband may also like to join in with my walks as well to help keep your pooch entertained and continue with our daily exercise regimen. If your pet does not do well on long walks please mention that so we don’t wear them out too much! I would like to walk your dog on the beach or beach access if allowed. If you would rather we stay on the neighborhood streets that’s fine too! My house/pet sitting service will include feeding, playing, walking, cleaning up pet waste in yard or litter box and light housekeeping such as vacuuming up pet fur if applicable. I have a very flexible schedule. I do work a few days a week part time but only 4-5 hr shifts at a time. I would love to be your pet’s next best friend! I am an extremely anal retentive pet owner and home owner. I probably take better care of my pets than my own self! We do not miss any yearly vet appointments and are very attentive to any ailments that may come along. I always say the worst part of being a pet owner is when they have to cross the rainbow bridge.
About: I have always grown up with animals and my love for them led me to a job at a pet resort. I was a kennel technician for 4 years which provided me great insight to care for all types of furry friends. I just graduated college from UNC Charlotte and home in Emerald Isle for the summer. Most days I workout and hang with my family so my schedule is pretty flexible. I always try to keep each pet’s routine as close as possible to what they’re used to because I know how stressful change can feel—especially for anxious pets. I’m patient, gentle, and attentive, and I make it my priority to provide comfort, consistency, and lots of love while they’re away from their parents.
About: I have been caring for animals my entire life as a child, wildlife rehabilitator and as a wildlife biologist. For the last year and a half I have built a very nice reputation as a dependable and loving pet sitter. I have watched dogs, cats and birds! I have taken care of many senior dogs as well as a few puppies. Needless to say I’m not afraid of a pee pad or pill bottles! I work remotely and choose my hours, meaning, I can be with your animals at all time if need be. I do not mind staying with them 24/7 while you are away. It also means you can contact me any time that you need too. I live on a dead end road with very low traffic and have a very large yard. We will also go for nice walks down to the river where our road ends and a trail leads out to the river. My two main borders often do not want to leave or they want to come back home with me. It’s a great spot for dogs, whether they need to be leashed or not. If I am staying at your house I will always follow their normal routine. I really like for my clients to leave a note with food instructions, treat instructions, medicine, and daily routine. I also like to have a just incase number (neighbor or family member in the area) and the veterinarian. This is all just incase of an emergency and to make sure your pet stays safe and has the best time possible with me.
“April is awesome. She was easy to communicate with and asked a lot of valid questions in order to provide our dogs with the best care. The dogs enjoyed her company and she gave us peace of mind while we were away.”
About: Walks, runs and playtime fun! Here to help whether it's because your busy at work or leaving town. I have the flexibility to give your pets multiple bathroom breaks, walks, or what ever else is needed. Contact me even if you have questions! Plant watering and mail gathering for out of town trips included... Just let me know what your needs are and we can schedule times accordingly. Im available through out the day, 7 days a week. I prefer Havelock clients for in house sitter jobs. If you need a lot of check ins I would rather keep your fur baby at my house, to avoid charging more for gas. I care for pets in their homes based on the guidelines the owners set out. I will always check their food and water bowls, walk or play outside and bathroom break.
About: With years of hands-on experience breeding dogs and training German Shepherds, I bring a deep understanding of canine behavior, structure, and care to every pet I watch. From high-energy working dogs to beloved family companions, I provide attentive, knowledgeable, and compassionate care tailored to each dog’s needs. Whether it’s structured exercise, basic reinforcement training, or just dependable companionship, your pet will be in experienced and caring hands. I have part time job that I work at occasionally, but my passion is caring for our furry friends! I have 3 of my own and always find my most joyful moments are spent loving on them. Caring for pets is all about meeting them in their comfort space and going from there. Each furry friend has their own boundaries and when caring for them, it is vital to get to know them and build a trusting relationship with them, based on their personality. A meet and greet is the best way I have found to start this relationship.

About: -Personally, I have been caring for pets for 18 years. Pit mixes, reptiles, and felines. The first words most people would use to describe me would be "animal lover"! -Professionally, I have veterinary and animal handling experience. I worked as a Licensed Veterinary Technician Assistant between college and graduate school, which gave me experience with administering medication, pet safety, checking vital signs, soothing anxious pets, basic grooming, etc. I also spent two years in grad school walking dogs, boarding, and doing check-ins with "Wag!" which I thoroughly enjoyed! Professionally, I am a biologist and have a working knowledge of animal physiology -I have personally mothered and treated a Heartworm Positive dog, so I am well-versed in caring for a pup currently undergoing that! With my current seasonal position coming to an end, I expect to have a wide open schedule for the next few months. I am a pretty early riser, but can be flexible It is priority to make sure that your pet is as comfortable as possible while missing you! I choose to not use a crate with my dog, but can with yours if you prefer that. I'm very active and like to ensure that animals get as much activity and enrichment as they like.

Thank you Aanchal!”
