About: My family personally has never owned any pets for more than 3 years but I have close relatives and friends who have. I have been asked to dog walk, sit, board, bathe and so many other things that I actually genuinely enjoy. Im not saying im a dog whisper but I have found it very easy to get a long with almost any animal I have came in contact with. I love the easy connection you can make with an animal just in the first few minutes of meeting them. While the pay is definitely a plus I enjoy taking care hanging out with all sorts of pets and hopefully I will have the chance to meet yours! I am currently and online college student so most days my schedule is very open. My weekends tend to get a little busy but not until the summer time so I am usually very free then as well. I spend most of my time at home so your pet would be with me during the duration of whatever service is being provided, can always clear my day for any furball! While I do have an unfenced yard anytime the animal needs to be taken out I am willing to do multiple walks. My house is fair in size so they have plenty of room to roam and access to water and food unless their diet is specific. Over the years, I’ve trained and cared for dogs of all personalities and backgrounds, including working dogs, and I truly enjoy getting to know each dog as an individual. I’m a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and am certified in Canine CPR and First Aid through the American Red Cross. I recertify annually so I can stay current with the latest first-aid practices, and I’m also comfortable administering oral medications when needed. Most importantly, I treat every dog in my care as an individual and want them to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re here. Before your pup comes to stay, I’ll have you fill out a little information form about them. It’s not meant to feel like paperwork for paperwork’s sake—it simply helps me get to know your dog before they arrive. Their routines, quirks, favorite things, and anything else that helps me make them feel at home are all helpful to know. I don’t have a breed preference and have experience with everything from easygoing family companions to high-drive working dogs. Whether your pup is happiest curled up on the couch or ready to spend the day exploring, I’m happy to accommodate their personality and your preferences. And yes, your dog is absolutely welcome on our couch! ❤️ Our home is their home while they’re here, and we want them to feel comfortable and included. At the same time, I’m always happy to follow whatever arrangements work best for your family. No matter what their stay looks like, your pup can count on plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and interaction. My goal is for them to head home happy, tired, and already looking forward to their next visit! I wake up and start the day off with morning let out. After each group has been let we come back in for feeding. Morning feedings normally allow for 30-45 minutes before letting out again for a potty break. They are brought back in, crated, and pups are rotated out for play inside throughout the day. I let out every 2-4 hours through the day or more if needed. I do have the option to add on trail walks for those who have social canines who are good with other dogs and people (I will not be introducing them to others but it is a requirement to the trail). In the evening we normally do the last feeding at 7 pm followed by yard play and starting to settle in. Last potty break is at 10 pm. Note: Although I am at home full time I do on occasion leave our home to run errands. Your dog can be left alone for up to 4 hours (max). If this is ever the case your pup will always be crated and secure. For your pup's safety They are never given free rein while unsupervised. I take the safety of your furry companion very seriously. Canines are let out for potty breaks every 2-4 hours (or as needed, if required more frequently). I have a fenced-in yard so your pup will be safe during potty breaks. I do not allow companions from other families to play with each other. This is a safety measure. Your pup can be under a lot of stress when you're gone and I want to make their stay as smooth and relaxing as possible. This doesn't mean I will not be playing with your pup ourselves! I love playing fetch, puzzle games, and even tug with them. I do allow for several outings in the house throughout the day so they can get plenty of one-on-one attention inside as well as extra pets. I have 5 acres that are attached to the national preserve. If your furry companion is social and enjoys walks, I have several trails I am happy to take them on upon request (weather permitting). All outings are on leash only.
About: I lived with my roommates two big dogs in my time in undergrad. Also cared for my family dog Tango who was a black lab. So I have good experience on the process of caring for pets. I work during the day on weekdays but I am remote on Thursdays and Friday, so I would primarily be available all day Thursdays - Saturdays. Sundays I am available until 5:00 PM. I have a townhome close to many dog parks and dog friendly trails. My home is also spacious enough for a small-to-medium sized cage or a large dog bed. About: I have been a cat and dog lover and pet parent throughout my adult life. When I lived in Washington, I worked full time at a dog daycare and overnight boarding ranch in Snohomish.
