I am willing to make multiple visits in a day. For House Drop-Ins: Similar to above, the evening times may vary. For House Sitting: I receive my schedule weekly, so I am available for overnight at least twice a week. Again, this time varies, so it will be either 3-8:30/9ish that I am gone, or 4-10/11ish. Many of the dogs I help are everyday family dogs who need guidance with things like pulling on leash, barking, jumping, reactivity, or learning how to settle in the home. I also enjoy working with puppies and helping owners build strong foundations early through clear communication and consistency. I have a strong interest in behavior modification, especially helping dogs work through fear, stress, and reactivity at a pace that keeps them comfortable and learning. My husband is a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) and a combat veteran and former military police K9 handler who trained civilian police dogs. Because of his veterinary background, I’m also able to consult with him when behavior questions may have a possible medical component, which can sometimes play a role in behavior. I also understand that dogs live in real families with real challenges. I live with multiple sclerosis and am raising an autistic four-year-old, so I appreciate how important it is for training to be practical, realistic, and supportive of the household environment. My goal is always to help create calmer, safer, and more enjoyable relationships between dogs and the people who love them. One thing that’s very important to me is paying attention to canine body language and stress signals. Dogs communicate constantly through subtle changes in posture, facial expression, and movement, and recognizing those signals early can prevent many behavior problems from escalating. About: I have been a dog lover my entire life and have cared for dogs since I was about 10 years old. About: Growing up I lived on a livestock farm so my life for animals came natural and at a very early age. I previously worked as a Vet Tech and still currently volunteer for a local rescue, which is how I got 2 of my babies!
