But after our meet and greet, my own anxiety began to leave. Rachel and Donald sent more than one daily update with pictures. For once, I was not in a hurry to get back home! Currently I have Pippa, a 7-year-old Labrador who is allergic to chicken, so I make part of her food. I am home most of the time, except when I host overly-complex board games at the Hickory Library or the Highland Rec Center -- and those sessions are at most 3 hours long. I am home most days, except when I am hosting 3-hour board games at the local library and rec center. Otherwise, I take care of our house and rental properties. I have a large fenced yard -- especially-so since my house sits along North Center Street. I also use carabiners to make sure that gates are locked.

“Kassie was awesome. Buddy had a blast & enjoyed the day there. Kassie & her crew of furry friends were great hosts. The ONLY thing that prevents a 5 star rating is a lack of a fence. Kassie took Buddy for great walks, provided a great indoor environment, but he got close to the road when we left. That was on me as I didn’t have him leashed up. If Kassie ever gets a fence in the equation, it would be a “6l” on a scale to 5. Definitely will ask Kassie to Buddy watch again.”

About: My name is Samantha and I have been around and cared for dogs most of my life. I have always loved dogs. I currently have two dogs. The oldest is almost 4 years old and he is a Dalmatian. The youngest is 2 years old and is a mixed breed, we fostered him and decided to adopt him. They are both friendly and love other dogs. I have been fostering dogs for local rescue groups for about 2 years now. I really enjoy helping out dogs that are in need of some extra love, attention, and a place to stay while they find their forever homes. If you are in need of someone to take your dog/ dogs for a walk, come let them out to get some exercise and use the bathroom, someone to watch your dog while you are away, or whatever the need may be I would be happy to help.
About: I’m a dog owner of a 4-year-old German Shepherd with epilepsy and an 8-year-old Beagle. Caring for my Shepherd has given me hands-on experience administering medication on a consistent schedule, monitoring for seizures and staying calm and responsive if one occurs. My dogs are also decently trained, so I’m comfortable reinforcing basic commands and maintaining structure. Having two completely different types of breeds also gives me experience with a different energy level and the attention to both of their different needs. Together they’ve taught me how to balance exercise, rest, mental stimulation, and individualized care for dogs of different sizes, ages, and temperaments. Being a military veteran I am also reliable, and consistent. I have lived with dogs all of my life and love meeting all kinds of different breeds. I’m happy to follow your routines closely, send regular updates and photos, and provide the calm, consistent care that helps dogs feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’m currently on terminal leave from the military and will be starting my graduate program soon, with classes only on Wednesdays and Thursdays. This gives me a flexible schedule with plenty of free time on the other weekdays, evenings, and weekends. I’m available for sitting, and walks most days and can easily adjust around my class times to provide pet care. I’m experienced with dogs of different sizes and temperaments and will follow your routines, medication needs, and any special instructions closely. I can crate when needed and always prioritize supervision, safety, and lots of positive interaction so your pup feels comfortable and well cared for.
About: I’ve owned or taken care of dogs for over 50 years. Friends and family are very comfortable calling on me to care for their dogs. Currently, I am fully retired and miss my own little fur baby. I would love to snuggle and care for your dog. My hours are very flexible to suit your needs. I regularly walk dogs out doors and give them much attention. In my neighborhood all dogs will be kept on a leash as per the law.
About: Ever since I can remember we’ve had a fur friend in the house! My family and I at one point in time fostered fur friends until they could go to their forever home! I have been around and taken care of all kinds of dogs from pit bulls -chihuahuas! I am working part time right now and going to college online to be a speech and language pathologist! The times I work do vary between morning shifts and closing shifts! I want my fur friends and family to feel as safe and cared for as I do in any environment! If your pet enjoys walks, play, or just some company, I’m happy to spend that time with them. As I do not prefer staying in a client’s home, if it is requested I can make accommodation. I will do my best to keep your pet’s routine as normal as possible. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions if needed, and any specific care instructions you provide. I also send photo updates and messages so you can feel confident your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of every kind big or small. I am very gentle and loving towards them. Knowing they hold a special place in my heart every-time I get to play around with my dogs and others I come in contact with. I can walk or play with your dogs throughout the week as well. Depending on the time of day you request I will have my loyal sidekick Colton aka( my son) with me. I am very flexible with hours and schedules. I can drop by for a check in or take them on a walk. I unfortunately do not board any dogs at this time.I am only able to do check ins for cats and dogs or walks for the doggos.

About: I have 2 dogs of my own currently one is 8 and one is 10. I currently work at a doggy daycare and boarding facility. i work 5 days a week less than 40 hours and i’m taking care of animals when im on and off the clock so it seems fitting to become a sitter and walker:) I live in a home with an unfenced 2 acre yard. we have a runner in case the dog isn’t leash or off leash trained.

For my drop in clients I provide loving attention and basic necessities during my visits while your pets are in the comfort of their own home. I provide text message updates and photos throughout their stay and during my drop ins to keep you informed and give peace of mind about your fur babies while you're away. I will have plenty of time to spend with your pups so they get that personal care regularly throw the day in the comfort of a home setting verses a boarding facility. I also have a dog that loves to play with others. When I am home dogs are free range through out the house and play time with my pup or snoozing on the couch. Your pups can also enjoy nice walks outside or some lounging time in the fresh air on the tie out.
